CHAPTER 111: 111 - NEW NOVEL!

...

...

(Raven’s POV)

After Sean, Barry, and the others "accidentally" died last night at the hands of goblins inside a dungeon as "they were trying to escape from the human domain", me and Ervin decided to exit the dungeon.

We went our separate ways after getting out of that place—

I headed back to the academy, and Ervin returned to wherever the hell he’s been staying.

I don’t know where the fuck he’s holed up, but he told me he’ll call when he makes a decision about my offer.

’That’s enough for me... He have my contact information just as I have his.’

Anyway, at the moment...

I was checking [Vespera]— the site I personally built where my current ongoing novel, [Exodus], is being published.

It’s been a while since I logged in. I’ve been too busy with, well... real-life murder. A.K.A trash cleaning.

But now that things have settled for a bit, I’m here again. The reason? I need to restock the scheduled Chapters for [Exodus].

I do this from time to time, like once a month.

Anyway— the moment I logged in, I saw new comments and praise flooding in. People still hyping my story.

My eyes widened a bit.

That alone made me crack a small, satisfied smile.

"Heh..."

It was weirdly comforting.

I’ve always known the world was a mess, especially my world— but seeing readers hang onto the lives of my characters like they were real?

...It felt nice.

Then I noticed something else.

Notifications piled up like crazy, and as I skimmed through them, one particular name stood out.

"Nightfall has been frequently donating massive amounts of Zeals..."

I muttered, eyes narrowing in interest.

They’ve been giving me about 50,000 Zeals every two weeks without fail. That’s more consistent than my own upload schedule.

"Nightfall is seriously supporting me, huh..."

I leaned back in my chair, mumbling to myself with a proud grin.

I even checked their profile. Blank. No posts. No bio. Just... a silent patron and reader of mine.

Moving on—

After checking on that, I spent time replying to as many comments as I could.

I thanked the supporters, clarified some plot points, even joked with a few longtime readers. Of course, I avoided anything that could lead to spoilers.

Some of the readers were still hung up on Chapter 178’s cliffhanger. Others kept shipping the MC with literally everyone.

One even made fanart. It was... surprisingly good. No, my mistake— it’s not just one... A few fanarts about my work was all over the comment section!

Anyway, I saved a few arts that I really like. I might use them as covers for the future Chapters.

...

Moving on again... I scrolled down and found a couple of hate comments.

Normally I’d ignore them.

But not today.

I felt like being petty for some reason...

=====

The moment I hit send, a wave of satisfaction washed over me.

"That felt good."

I whispered to myself.

It feels like stretching after a long nap. Or cracking your neck just right.

[Hey! Hey! Hey!]

Suddenly, Sariel’s excited voice rang in my head. Sounded like a kid unwrapping presents.

I turned my gaze toward him— toward the floating bluish system window in the air.

"What is it?"

I asked, raising an eyebrow.

[Sean’s parents, Barry’s parents, and even the rest of the bastards you killed last night...]

[All of them are either dead or have been arrested by the federation!]

Then Sariel quickly declared that, dropping a huge news!

"...!"

My eyes widened for a moment— but not from shock.

A sly smile slowly formed on my lips.

Because I’d already suspected something like this would happen.

"What’s the full story?"

I asked anyway, just to confirm it.

[Well, Sean’s and the others’ parents tried to flee to the demon realm. The federation attempted to arrest them, but many resisted. Sean’s parents included.]

[The federation’s heroes killed them on the spot. The rest who surrendered are now under constant surveillance.]

[Oh, and this just hit the internet.]

Sariel explained, he sounded like he was enjoying this news way too much.

I nodded slowly, still smiling.

"With this... I can finally relax a little."

What happened to their parents? That was me. My doing.

I didn’t have a full-blown plan, but I acted fast when Ervin tipped me off.

Apparently, when Ervin overheard them scheming to escape to the demon realm, he immediately messaged me— with solid evidence attached.

Now that’s what I call efficiency.

’I really hope he accepts my proposal already... I know it’s not even a day yet since I asked him, but I’m already feeling impatient because I know his full potential.’

I thought to myself.

Anyway, back to what I did— once I got the evidence from Ervin, I passed it all to Ruby.

And Ruby, ever the resourceful dealer, sold the info straight to the federation.

She didn’t even ask why. She just smirked and said—

"I’ll handle it."

Rudy sounds as reliable as ever. I’m really glad I have a good... A super good relationship with her.

Then, a few hours later after she said that to the federation, chaos hit the net.

The federation couldn’t ignore a threat like that. I mean, people attempting to defect to the demons? That’s a red line even the corrupt officials wouldn’t ignore.

So sure enough, the federation responded. Swiftly and brutally even.

Anyway, hearing that news from Sariel—

I checked the news online just now, and it confirmed it: Sean’s and Barry’s parents were among the dead.

Even more amusing, nobody on the internet was asking where Sean and Barry were. Not a single search campaign.

’Haha, guess nobody would really care if they die. Luckily.’

Well... there were a few threads.

But all of them were just cursing the two, blaming them for their crimes, and wishing them dead.

’Wish granted by me. You’re all welcome.’

I thought.

Then some were even celebrating.

’Man, I’m such a good person for granting their wishes...’

I thought with a smirk.

[Crazy bastard, you’re sick in the head... Is what I would’ve said normally, but those guys deserves what they got haha.]

Then sariel responded.

Swoosh—

I ignored him and pulled my laptop from my spatial storage.

I also took out my phone and played a calming track.

Rain sounds. My favorite background noise while writing. I need to stock Chapters again.

And so with that, I started writing again.

"Hm... should I start working on another novel?"

I asked aloud midway through.

I paused, thinking about it.

"...Yeah. I should. I mean, why not?"

I still remember every single novel I wrote back when I was Cole. I liked all of them— and I plan to bring them all into this world. For money, of course.

But slowly, one at a time. That’s how I’ll maximize profit.

Plus, I missed some of those characters that I wrote.

"...!"

Then a sudden inspiration hit.

A wide grin appeared on my face.

"That’s it. I’ll publish that one next."

And without delay, I began typing on my laptop.

*****

Unbeknownst to Raven, while he was busy building fictional worlds and creating new protagonists...

Inside a large room somewhere in the academy, a meeting was taking place.

There were exactly 78 members gathered.

Most of them were girls— only a handful were guys.

With that many people packed into one space, whispers and murmurs filled the air.

And they all had one thing in common:

They were talking about Raven.

Some showed photos. Others held notebooks. A few were wearing Raven-themed badges.

"So everyone... Please your attention."

A voice cut through the chatter. Soft, but commanding. It was a feminine voice.

"Ah..."

"We’re starting."

"Shhhh, guys..."

"She’s going to talk. Let’s all listen."

"..."

Everyone instantly fell silent, focusing on the girl who spoke.

Clearly, she was the leader.

"Mhm, thank you."

The girl, seeing all eyes on her, nodded in satisfaction. Her movements, posture, even the way she stood.

She was imitating Raven a little bit.

Though of course, she can’t even compare to the one and only Raven.

Fwish~

She raised her hand and then confidently said—

"Let’s begin organizing our group."

She sounds excited and ready to go. A smile secretly formed on her face.

Oh? And the girl’s name—

Was Jeanna Avyl.
