CHAPTER 71: 71 - BODY RECONSTRUCTION [2]

"Fuck...!"

Raven muttered in frustration as a radiating pain started attacking his insides!

And seeing him shining like a star—

"W-what’s happening?!"

"Stop this right now, Raven!"

Pete exclaimed. He doesn’t know what’s going on, but he knows Raven is deeply involved in it.

’I would if I could, you fucker!’

Raven cursed internally. He’s biting his lips tightly closed to prevent any noise from leaking out of his mouth.

But pained groans still escaped his mouth.

Raven looked around the classroom, and as he expected, all eyes were on him.

’They’ll see me body reconstructing if this continues...!’

Raven thought.

A human going through a [Body Reconstruction] has never been heard of, so if everyone here sees him go through that and they figured out what’s happening...

They might even think of Raven as a majin!

So with that, Raven racked his brain to the max, finding a way to prevent such a thing from happening.

Raven injected mana into the [Celestria] and made it cover his whole body.

He transformed it into a human-tall egg-like dome, trapping himself inside and preventing anyone from seeing him!

Then black liquids started coming out from the corners of his mouth, eyes, nose, and ears.

Anyway, as all of that was happening— Raven was feeling a violent burning sensation inside his body!

Fortunately, he could still bear it as he prepared for the worst.

At the same time, outside Raven’s self-made dome—

Everyone inside the [Class A-1] classroom was confused.

Right after a strong magic canceling spell was cast on Raven earlier—

His whole body shone and soon was trapped inside a black cocoon that covered his whole body!

And though Raven was trapped inside, everyone could sometimes hear his weak pained groans.

Alec, Adelle, Blake, and even Aoi were looking at the small dome where Raven was, with worried or concerned eyes.

"Sir, what happened?!"

Alec asked Pete with a loud voice.

"I-I don’t know!"

Pete answered. Clearly, he was bewildered at what was taking place too.

’I didn’t do anything! I just planned to attack him a little and humiliate him!’

He thought as he noticed that almost everyone was looking at him.

"Let me see."

And in the middle of the confusion, Adelle calmly said that and walked toward the black cocoon.

She was shocked too at what happened, but seeing everyone panicking, she decided to be the calm one.

And because of the calmness Adelle showed in such a situation, Alec and Blake regained their senses too.

"Sorry, Sir... I was just worried about my friend."

Alec muttered and bowed his head to Pete.

"Ah, it’s fine. Even me, I am worried about Raven too."

Pete replied with a fake but convincing smile.

Though, everyone who heard him knew that what he said was all bullshit.

Alec actually didn’t care and just wanted to apologize for appearance only.

Then after Pete accepted his apology(?), Alec ran to Adelle’s side immediately.

Blake was already there too.

"Did you guys find anything?"

Alec asked them.

To which Blake shook his head as a reply.

"I don’t even know what the fuck I am doing."

He said while still observing the cocoon.

But after a while, Adelle looked at them too, then she opened her mouth.

"First, the cocoon seems to be made by Raven as I can feel his mana in it, so it’s most likely not made to harm him."

Adelle stated, and her words calmed down the whole classroom—especially the girls who were worried.

Adelle is a mage class, so she’s pretty sensitive with mana. She especially paid attention to Raven’s mana because it’s calm and beautiful, so she’s familiar with it.

"It seems like he’s in pain, but he seems to be bearing it, so he’s at least not in a life-threatening condition."

Curtis then explained as he suddenly joined them. He just helped analyze the situation because he found it interesting.

"Should we just forcefully break through the cocoon?"

Eve suggested in a questioning tone.

"No."

But Aoi declined the idea.

"If what Adelle said is true, that Raven made the cocoon and trapped himself inside, then it means that he’s hiding something."

She concluded.

"We need to give him his privacy. Raven will obviously come out sooner or later anyway, as he can’t stay inside that cocoon forever."

Aoi added calmly.

"Tsk."

Hearing that, Eve stopped gathering mana and just clicked her tongue in frustration.

"Keum... I’m a professor, so I’ll help in fixing the situation."

It was then that Pete, who had calmed down, decided to stick his nose in for credit.

He wanted to impress every student in the room by "fixing" the situation.

Though, almost all students in [CLASS A-1]—especially the girls—already hated Pete as they knew he intentionally picked on Raven earlier.

I mean, who wouldn’t notice? They saw his expression when he casted magic against Raven... No one likes a professor or educator that picks on their students.

But Pete didn’t notice this. He just walked straight to Raven’s cocoon and placed his hand on top of it.

Then without any warning—

"[Mana Removal!]"

Pete casted a pretty high-tier mana canceller spell!

’Now—! Let’s see what you are hiding, you filthy peasant!’

Pete exclaimed in his head as he slyly grinned.

His plan wasn’t just to gain credit for fixing the situation!

When Pete heard from Aoi that Raven was probably hiding something—he immediately formed a plan to reveal it!

’If you really want to hide something to the point of trapping yourself in a cocoon, then it must be something hideous!’

He thought happily as he imagined Raven’s reputation going down the drain after his secret was revealed.

"?!"

BAM!

But then, Alec suddenly threw a punch at Pete!

Though Pete was able to block it by immediately generating a mana barrier between them.

And after that, Pete trapped himself and Raven’s cocoon inside a dome-shaped mana barrier!

"What are you doing?!"

Alec exclaimed. Anger could be felt from him as he glared at Pete through the mana barrier.

"That’s my question. What are you doing, attacking a professor?"

Pete asked back in an intimidating manner.

’This one is another peasant. He’s very talented, so it’s hard to drag him down.’

’But just now, he attacked me—a professor. I won’t let this chance get away. I’m gonna put him in his place too!’

He mischievously thought as he stared at Alec.

"Did you not hear what Aoi said?! Give Raven his time!"

Alec yelled. Everyone could still hear the pained groans coming from inside Raven’s cocoon.

Then—

BAM!

Alec punched again on Pete’s mana barrier.

CRACK–

And a small crack appeared on it!

"Wha-?!"

Pete’s eyes widened after seeing that, and he immediately sent mana to the cracked part to repair it.

BAM!

But at that moment, his mana barrier shook once again.

And the reason wasn’t Alec—it was coming from the opposite side of the barrier.

Looking at the source of it... Pete saw Blake with his arm extended and touching the mana barrier!

Blake just punched the mana shield!

"You shouldn’t intrude on someone’s privacy, professor..."

Blake muttered, looking dead straight into Pete’s eyes.
