CHAPTER 235: CHAPTER 202 WHO GAVE YOU THE AUTHORITY

Ye Duowei was so furious that she nearly ground her molars to dust. Why had Li Si become so difficult? She didn’t dare tell her uncle; her family business was practically on the brink of bankruptcy. If it weren’t for her father’s foresight and her own efforts in getting pregnant and married, there was no way the Yan Family would have stepped in to lend a hand.

If the truth about Li Si being her aunt’s daughter came out, the Yan Family would certainly not forgive so easily. At that point, whether her aunt’s marriage could survive would be questionable.

Still, she couldn’t resign herself to it. Stubbornly, she said, "Of course I’ll tell him! Just you wait! Wait for the day you’re kicked out of the Leng Family!"

"Sure, I’m looking forward to you doing that! Don’t disappoint me, okay?" Li Si said, and after pulling Bai Shasha along, she gave Ye Duowei a cold, disdainful glance before leaving abruptly.

Ye Duowei’s chest heaved with rage. Yin Xian, seeing Li Si and Bai Shasha leave, quickly stepped forward to support her. He sighed inwardly but spoke softly to comfort her: "Weiwei, let’s go. Other people’s affairs—better to stay out of them."

Although he was standing a few steps away earlier, the two women hadn’t kept their voices down, and he’d heard everything clearly. So, after all that, Li Si and Ye Duowei turned out to be blood-related sisters. The realization left him deeply conflicted.

Ye Duowei shot him a glare and said, "What do you mean ’other people’s affairs’? That’s my aunt and my mom, who’s endured such unfair treatment. As her daughter, how could I just let it slide?"

"But Mom’s grievances weren’t caused by Li Si! What’s it got to do with her?" Yin Xian didn’t know all the specifics since he wasn’t there, but he was aware that Tian Yaru had been the first to instigate a fight against the other party.

Ye Duowei grew both angry and anxious. "How is it not related to her? Those are her family members. If I don’t go after her, who else should I go after?"

Yin Xian was speechless. Seeing her pale complexion, he decided it was best not to argue further. "Alright, alright. Let’s just go home. Your face doesn’t look good."

Ye Duowei also realized she wasn’t feeling well. Her earlier rage had taken a toll, and if it affected the baby, things would be disastrous. So, she reluctantly agreed and headed home with Yin Xian.

Meanwhile, Li Si and Bai Shasha walked out of the mall and found a Korean restaurant to have lunch. Thanks to Ye Duowei’s theatrics earlier, neither of them felt like shopping anymore.

After ordering food, Bai Shasha rested her right hand on her chin and asked, displeased, "Si, just how many things have you kept from me?"

Li Si’s expression became a bit uneasy. She hadn’t told Bai Shasha about these matters because she thought the past was best left behind—focus on the good and not the bad. But now that Ye Duowei had exposed everything, she could only come clean.

"My queen, I admit my fault! I’ll spill everything, alright? This story starts back when I went to donate bone marrow..."

She succinctly explained the situation, and Bai Shasha, upon listening, cursed out the Li Family and the Tian Family. "Si, how could you have been so selfless back then? I feel indignant just hearing about it. Not one decent person in the Tian Family! It’s a good thing you’ve wised up now. Otherwise, I’d have given you a good scolding too!"

"I know, right? I can’t believe how naive I was back then. What was I even thinking? My brain must’ve been empty—not just soft-hearted but completely spineless!"

"Alright! Whatever you eat is what you replenish. Once we finish here, I’m treating you to roasted chicken hearts!" Bai Shasha said teasingly, grinning as she watched the server bring their food. Taking a bite of Korean barbecue, she remarked, "Mm, this place has a good flavor—the food looks appetizing!"

"Get lost!" Li Si retorted while digging in, taking a bite of Korean bibimbap and noting to herself how authentic and delicious it tasted.

Before Ye Duowei could even reach the Yin Family home, something didn’t feel right with her body. She felt a sharp pain twisting in her belly, and what frightened her more was the sensation of bleeding. Panicked, she called out to Yin Xian, who was driving. "Husband, my stomach hurts! I think I’m bleeding—what should I do?"

Just then, they hit a red light. Yin Xian slammed the brakes in a panic, narrowly avoiding the car in front of them. His expression grew tense as he asked, "Weiwei, are you okay?" He noticed her face was not only pale but also covered in sweat, and his heart skipped a beat. This wasn’t a trivial matter—it was real pain!

Even though he hadn’t been particularly excited about the baby, it was still their child. There was no way he could be indifferent to it.

After trying to comfort Ye Duowei with a few words, he rushed to the nearest hospital.

Thankfully, it was just a case of fetal distress. After the doctor’s examination, they decided she should be hospitalized for observation for a few days.
