Li Si and Leng Mochen were giving Xiao Guai a bath in the bathtub. Not only were rose petals sprinkled in, but they even added some essential oils. After this, Xiao Guai was definitely going to smell amazing—perfect for cuddling!

Leng Mochen took a white blanket and declared that it would now be Xiao Guai’s exclusive blanket. He bundled Xiao Guai entirely in it, leaving only its damp little head poking out.

But this—this wasn’t what it had hoped for at all! First off, it couldn’t even handle the whole bathing ordeal, and to make matters worse, once its fur dried later, it was going to have to wear those strange cloth pieces that its owners called "clothes."

It wanted to say, "Owners, I prefer being *naked*, okay?"

But nobody could understand it! Whatever—it would just endure it in silence.

Li Si cheerfully admired her handiwork: a white collared half-sleeve shirt and a pair of denim shorts, which Xiao Guai was now dressed in. No matter how she looked at it, Xiao Guai seemed dashing.

Oh, right! She picked up one of the many hats she and Leng Mochen had purchased yesterday and chose a red baseball cap.

Wow! Now it really looked the part!

Leng Mochen found the whole thing amusing too. Ever since Xiao Guai had appeared two days ago, the couple’s actions had been surprisingly in sync. Buying it clothes, bathing supplies, dressing it up—after all the fussing over it, forget Li Si being eager to take it outside; even he was getting the urge!

Li Si said, "Xiao Guai, look how cool your big sister has made you look! Don’t believe me? Go take a look in the mirror!"

Leng Mochen couldn’t help but laugh. To Xiao Guai, the mirror was something to avoid at all costs. He swore his wife was absolutely doing this on purpose!

Xiao Guai let out a miserable howl and rubbed its forehead, which was still sore from banging it on the mirror the day before. No way was it going anywhere near that thing again!

At first, it thought there was another Xiao Guai inside the mirror. It had been so excited and worked hard for ages trying to grab that "other self," only to achieve absolutely nothing. Worse still, its owners laughed so hard they cried.

In the end, it had steeled its resolve to be friendly to the other "Xiao Guai." It leaned in for a kiss and pressed its forehead to the mirror—but the surface was way too hard! The result was a painful bump!

The next day, Li Si brought the freshly styled Xiao Guai to pick up Bai Shasha from work, planning to hang out afterward.

Bai Shasha came running out from her workplace with a grin. Her eyes immediately landed on the red sports car’s passenger seat window, where Xiao Guai was peeking out from.

"Oh my gosh! Is that a monkey?" Bai Shasha couldn’t believe her eyes! She was so excited that she quickly opened the car door.

Li Si glanced sideways at her, flashing a mischievous smile. "This is the newest member of our family—Xiao Guai! Shasha, isn’t it adorable?"

Bai Shasha lovingly picked up Xiao Guai and held it in her arms as she climbed into the car. She gently stroked its fur, stirring Xiao Guai into letting out persistent, indignant howls.

In its heart, Xiao Guai roared: "I’m not a pet, okay? Why is everyone so keen on taking advantage of me?"

"Adorable doesn’t even cut it! It makes me want to take it home with me! Li Si, can I borrow it for a couple of days?"

"It’s not impossible, but Xiao Guai is very attached to me—he can’t be away from my side for too long. How about this: when you’re off on Sunday, I’ll bring him over to your house, okay?" Bai Shasha’s work schedule had her off on Sundays—today was Friday.

Bai Shasha nodded enthusiastically, like a bobblehead. "Sounds perfect! I love it! Li Si, where did you even get this little guy? If you ever find another, you’ve got to help me get one too!
