"They went back to their room to rest. Mom was really upset—she took her medicine before heading back," Yin Xuan replied, then cast a sideways glance at Yin Xian. She couldn’t help but blame him in her heart: if her brother had a better sense of judgment, none of this would have happened.

Even their father had said earlier, "Thank goodness our relatives and friends weren’t here for this spectacle. Otherwise, I wouldn’t even be able to show my face in public! What an utter humiliation!"

"Alright, Xiao Xian, don’t take it too hard. This isn’t entirely your fault—it just happened because of your choices. It’s normal for Dad and Mom to be angry. Once they’ve cooled down, everything will pass," Yin Qi said, adopting her role as the elder sister to comfort Yin Xian.

She was already worn out from dealing with Ye Duowei’s torturous antics; now this incident piled on top of that, and she genuinely feared her brother might lose control or give up entirely.

When Yin Xian returned to the living room, the conversation resumed where it had left off.

Yin Xuan curled her lips, "Big brother! Let this serve as a lesson for you. Next time you look for a girlfriend, you better open your eyes wide! Seriously, look at Wang Mei’s mother—she’s a complete shrew! If it weren’t for our sister stepping in, she might have beaten me up today. Look at the scratches on my face!"

Mrs. Wang’s claws had been vicious, leaving Yin Xuan’s face still burning with pain.

She even worried whether Mrs. Wang carried any germs—what if she contracted some contagious disease?
