Rebirth: Clinging to My Possessive Magnate
Chapter 130: Bastard Things
CHAPTER 130: CHAPTER 130: BASTARD THINGS
"Is there really a need to make a big deal out of a small misunderstanding between sisters? Aren’t we still family?" Cassandra Lee asked angrily while gently patting Grace Wilson’s hand, questioning Sophie Wilson.
"And this is what’s called a conversation?" Sophie Wilson ignored Cassandra Lee completely and turned to Stephen Wilson.
Stephen Wilson seemed to be in a difficult position, but Cassandra Lee couldn’t let her son be troubled and took over the conversation: "Why are you looking at your dad?"
"You girl, this is a family matter, and you’re still making a fuss? What do you want? Do you want this family to fall apart, or do you want to anger me to death?"
Cassandra Lee started wiping her tears as she spoke: "I’ve worked hard to raise my son, finally hoping to enjoy some peace in my old age, yet my granddaughter makes trouble out of nothing. How am I this unfortunate?"
Seeing Cassandra Lee cry, Lily Warren hurriedly consoled her: "Mom, please don’t cry, your health isn’t good."
"Stephen, Stephen!" Lily Warren turned her head, continuously urging Stephen Wilson to persuade his mother.
How could they let the old lady be so sad?
However, before Stephen Wilson could speak, Sophie Wilson spoke first: "Exactly, as a granddaughter, she just has to make trouble out of nothing, go borrow from loan sharks to harm her own sister, truly trying to anger the old lady to death."
"Grace Wilson, look, what kind of mess have you made?" Sophie Wilson righteously accused, leaving everyone in the room stunned, just staring at her, unable to react for a moment.
Sophie Wilson’s reaction was completely outside their plan.
They had calculated that no matter whether Sophie Wilson cried or threw a fit, they could corner her into silence with the excuse of family, but who would have thought she’d accuse Grace Wilson?
"You, you, why are you talking about Grace?" Cassandra Lee didn’t know how to respond, but instinctively stood up to protect her cherished granddaughter.
"Well, it’s not me who said it, it’s you, the old lady, who said your granddaughter makes trouble out of nothing." Sophie Wilson looked at Cassandra Lee with a smirk, a look that seemed particularly blinding to Cassandra Lee.
"I was talking about you!" Cassandra Lee directly pointed out who was the troublemaker.
"Ha! That is truly strange!" Sophie Wilson laughed sarcastically, "Grace Wilson goes to borrow from loan sharks to harm me, and I’m the troublemaker? I really don’t understand your logic."
"That was originally a misunderstanding, why do you have to hold on to it? We’re all family, do you just want your sister to die to feel happy?" Cassandra Lee didn’t care about the truth, to her, regardless of any wrong, the fault always lay with Sophie Wilson, and her cherished granddaughter was definitely blameless.
"So, as the victim, I should just let her harm me, sell myself to pay off debt?" Sophie Wilson sneered, "Looks like you really want such a lucrative family member to be proud of, is that it?"
"If you had told me about the matter first, I would have paid off the debt for you," Stephen Wilson said in a weary voice, "This matter could have been easily resolved, why make such a big fuss?"
"We’re all family, is it really necessary?" Stephen Wilson gave Sophie Wilson a long look, clearly accusing her of being immature and disrupting the peace of the family.
