Rebirth: Clinging to My Possessive Magnate
Chapter 137: Fate
CHAPTER 137: CHAPTER 137: FATE
If Mason Wilson and Clarissa Taylor were such arrogant people... haha, no matter how well they got along, Sophie Wilson wouldn’t associate with them.
Just as they were speaking, Mason Wilson pushed the door open and came in. Upon seeing Sophie Wilson, he smiled and said, "Miss Wilson is here."
"Why call her Miss Wilson, so distant." Clarissa said, rolling her eyes at Mason, then turned to Sophie, who had stood up, and said, "Sophie, if you don’t mind, just call him Uncle."
In the Imperial City, although the Wilson Clan wasn’t top-tier, they certainly had much more than Stephen Wilson’s business.
There were enough people wanting to connect with Mason Wilson and his family to form a long line.
Sophie Wilson smiled and said, "Then I’ll be impolite, Uncle Wilson."
"Hey!" Mason responded happily, "Sophie, please sit down."
"I just went to take a look, and their oysters today are quite fresh. I’ll order some for you to try." Mason said with a smile.
"Alright, don’t worry, I’ll take good care of Sophie." Clarissa took on the responsibility of hosting Sophie Wilson.
"Then Sophie, sorry, but I have some work at the company, so I’ll leave first. You take your time eating with your Aunt Taylor." Mason said with a smile to Sophie before leaving.
Sophie didn’t mind Mason’s departure, as she wasn’t familiar with him. Having an extra man around wasn’t as comfortable as chatting alone with Aunt Taylor.
One has to admit, Mason is indeed considerate in this aspect.
"Sophie, when we’re done, I’ll drive you back. We can have a nice chat, just the two of us." Clarissa said with a smile, holding Sophie’s hand, "You have no idea, your Uncle Wilson is busy all the time, and I have no one to talk to about personal things all day long."
"Sure, let’s chat." Sophie nodded with a smile.
"Sophie, you know what, we really do have a connection." Clarissa said with a smile, "See, my husband’s surname is Wilson, and yours is too. The key is..."
As she spoke, Clarissa pointed to her eyes and asked Sophie, "See it?"
Sophie looked closely and laughed, "Aunt Taylor, your eyes are also peach blossom eyes."
"Yes, that’s why I say we have a connection." Clarissa said with a smile and a hint of sentimentality, "The Taylor Family has a history of peach blossom eyes, my dad, my brother, me... Even my cousin and her son have them."
"Look, you also have peach blossom eyes, it’s indeed fate." Feeling a kinship with Sophie, Clarissa spoke more freely.
The two chatted for a while and found they agreed on many views, making the conversation flow increasingly well.
Soon, the waiters began bringing in the dishes one after another, with the door of the private room opening and closing.
Suddenly, as if sensing something, Sophie looked up and saw Charles Seymour standing outside the door, looking at her.
Sophie froze for a moment, then immediately stood up.
"Sophie?" Clarissa stood up in confusion and followed her gaze, asking, "Your friend?"
"My boyfriend." Sophie retracted her gaze and introduced him to Clarissa.
Seeing the man at the door’s obsidian-like eyes brighten upon hearing Sophie’s introduction, Clarissa found it amusing in her heart.
Indeed, young couples have such strong feelings.
It seems Sophie’s boyfriend is really smitten with her.
"If he doesn’t mind, have him join us." Clarissa smiled and extended an invitation.
