Rebirth: Clinging to My Possessive Magnate
Chapter 449: Too Overboard
CHAPTER 449: CHAPTER 449: TOO OVERBOARD
"It’s okay, in a couple of days there will be other news, and this will get covered up. We don’t want that, Dad will figure something out for you," Benjamin Walton advised.
"No way, I’m calling my brother and telling him to talk to Sophie Wilson! Sophie is just too much!" Emerie Wilson turned around to get her phone.
Benjamin Walton wasn’t going to persuade her otherwise; after all, who could stop Emerie Wilson when she decided to do something?
"Big brother, what’s going on with you guys? How can you let your daughter bully me like this?" As soon as the call connected, Emerie Wilson started scolding righteously.
"Emerie Wilson, you know Sophie is my daughter. Did you consider that when you sent her away back then?" Mason Wilson retorted angrily; did she really have the nerve to ask him?
"Big brother, wasn’t I only trying to take care of Chaya’s feelings at that time? Besides, I left money for Sophie and even found someone with the same last name, Wilson, to raise her. I’ve been so considerate, what more do you want from me?" Emerie Wilson felt she had done her best, how could her brother be so heartless?
"Are you really going to hold on to that little incident and keep giving me a hard time? Letting Sophie smear me online and those netizens curse me, are you trying to force me to death? Would you be happy if I died?" Emerie Wilson became more aggrieved as she spoke, "Aren’t you my brother?"
"I really wish I never had a sister like you!" Mason Wilson said through gritted teeth, and with a snap, he hung up the phone.
Emerie Wilson stared at the phone that got disconnected, murmuring in disbelief, "He actually hung up on me? Hung up on me? I will never forgive him! Never!"
Emerie Wilson threw her phone hard against the wall, where it shattered into pieces.
"Okay, okay, never forgive, never forgive, just don’t get so upset, it’s not good for your health. Isn’t it breaking my heart as well?" Benjamin Walton said from the side, trying to stay relevant.
"Benjamin, you’re the one who’s good to me." Emerie Wilson nestled contentedly into Benjamin Walton’s embrace.
"If I’m not good to you, then who should I be good to?" Benjamin Walton said with amusement, "Alright, don’t overthink it, just focus on getting better, or else I’ll be heartbroken."
"Okay." Benjamin Walton’s sweet talk was very pleasing to Emerie Wilson.
She was hospitalized, but with Benjamin Walton by her side, her mood was quite good.
Benjamin used to have to work, but now he was by her side every day, which made Emerie Wilson feel that her days in the hospital weren’t that difficult, but rather quite happy.
Emerie Wilson happily recuperated in the hospital, and after a few days, she looked much better.
"Ophelia, where’s your uncle?" Emerie Wilson asked Ophelia Wilson, who was peeling an apple for her.
"Uncle had some urgent matters at the company to handle," Ophelia Wilson said with a smile, "Auntie, how are you feeling?"
"Much better," Emerie Wilson replied. In the hospital, with food and drink, and Benjamin by her side every day, she found life quite comfortable.
"Auntie, you really were too impulsive. You shouldn’t make things difficult for your own health. You have no idea, Grandpa, Grandma, and Uncle were all worried sick." Ophelia Wilson handed the peeled apple to Emerie Wilson.
Emerie Wilson bit into the apple with a crunch and said, "If it weren’t for Sophie Wilson’s relentless behavior, would I have thought of this method?"
Ophelia Wilson secretly breathed a sigh of relief when she realized Emerie Wilson didn’t suspect she had anything to do with the incident.
