Rebirth: Clinging to My Possessive Magnate
Chapter 56 - 056: Not Blaming Her
CHAPTER 56: CHAPTER 056: NOT BLAMING HER
On Monday, as soon as work started, Lucy Wells walked into the company and cheerfully greeted the receptionist, "Morning!"
The receptionist was a bit taken aback and replied, "Morning."
After Lucy Wells went in, the receptionist remarked to a colleague beside her, "Was that Lucy Wells just now? She seems different today."
Much more cheerful.
Along the way, all the colleagues who met Lucy Wells noticed her change. An older female colleague commented with a smile, "That’s right, Lucy! Young people should be full of energy!"
Previously, Lucy Wells was polite and sensible, but always a bit timid, and they genuinely felt sorry for her.
"Yes, I got it, Sister Lee!" Lucy Wells responded with a smile and then went to find Sophie Wilson.
"Hey, looking good!" Sophie Wilson patted Lucy Wells’ shoulder and laughed, "You’re glowing."
"I talked it over a lot with my mom, I was wrong before." Even though Lucy Wells was much more cheerful, she was still a bit shy, and her cheeks flushed slightly while talking about this.
"I don’t think your mom is a soft person, so you have to work hard. Be strong to protect her." Seeing Lucy Wells start to transform, Sophie Wilson felt very gratified.
Sometimes, life’s trajectory only requires a single thought to struggle out of misfortune.
"Yes." Lucy Wells nodded, "Sophie, thank you."
If Sophie Wilson hadn’t stood up for her during that embarrassing moment at the supermarket, she might not have had the resolve.
"Why be so formal with me? Aren’t we good friends?" Sophie Wilson laughed heartily, then grabbed Lucy Wells and asked, "Are you ready?"
Lucy Wells nodded, "Yeah... but, Sophie, is it really possible?"
"You have to believe that when a person becomes shameless, they really have no limits." Sophie Wilson sneered, "Think about how he acted when he was with you."
Lucy Wells bit her lip and nodded.
Unsurprisingly, a group of aggressive men burst into the company entrance at noon, yelling, "Where is Lucy Wells? Bring her out!"
The receptionist was scared by these big men, "What are you doing?"
"Bring out Lucy Wells!" One of them slammed the reception desk.
"Cheated money and acting all innocent, what’s the deal?"
"Don’t you have any shame left?"
The noisy disturbance at the reception area caught the attention of the company staff inside, who curiously started gathering around.
Hearing the commotion, Sophie Wilson immediately stood up and rushed out.
Charles Seymour glanced at Sophie Wilson’s half-eaten lunch, his handsome face darkened instantly, cold rage flickering in his eyes, as he got up and followed closely behind Sophie Wilson.
"What’s with the yelling? Are you hooligans here to fight?" Sophie Wilson stormed over to the reception area, and directly shouted at them, "A bunch of grown men bullying our receptionist, have any decency? Are you real men?"
The men felt a bit embarrassed by Sophie Wilson’s words, but their anger couldn’t be appeased.
"Who are you? We’re here for that bitch Lucy Wells!"
"Yeah, bring her out!"
"Where is she? Don’t tell me she’s too guilty to face anyone?"
"Guys, let it go, let’s go back." Joshua Wright pushed through the crowd, desperately trying to persuade his brothers, "It’s my bad luck, can’t blame anyone else."
