"I eat a lot, never feel full," Qin Xiangnuan sighed. She really didn’t want to, but she just felt hungry all the time.

"Eat a lot?" Li Li looked Qin Xiangnuan up and down. Compared to before, there was no difference, she hadn’t gained weight, so how could she suddenly be eating more? She flipped through Qin Xiangnuan’s medical records and, after a few moments, really felt that Jian Zhiqing was making a big deal out of nothing.

"It’s normal to eat more when pregnant, your body needs more nutrients. If pregnant women don’t eat more, then who will? So, don’t worry, it’s okay."

"But I haven’t gained weight," Qin Xiangnuan was really worried because she felt constantly hungry and hadn’t put on any weight.

"It’s possible all the nutrients are going to the baby; different people have different physiques," Li Li had seen many cases. Some pregnant women gain a lot of weight, like they’re inflated, but some just grow, everything else remains slim except for their bellies. Maybe Qin Xiangnuan was one of these women. "How about this," Li Li knew they might still be worried, "I’ve checked your files, you’re about two months along now. Go have a checkup, and from now on come in once a month."

Qin Xiangnuan already knew this, prenatal check-ups, of course, she would do them.

"Let’s go, I’ll take you there," Li Li organized her documents and wrote up a form, preparing to take Qin Xiangnuan to do an ultrasound. She lay down, and a cold substance was smeared on her belly, and she was a bit nervous.

"Don’t worry, it’s fine." Jian Zhiqing took her hand.

He said not to be afraid, but his own palm was sweaty from holding hers.

The doctor moved the ultrasound device over Qin Xiangming’s belly for quite a while.

"Huh?" Suddenly, it seemed she discovered something, her eyes fixed on the computer screen and not letting go.

"What’s wrong?" Li Li was anxious and quickly came forward, "Is there a problem?"

"Oh, no, it’s fine," the doctor smiled, "Don’t worry, there’s nothing wrong with the baby. But, I don’t think it’s just one baby, I’ll check again."

Hearing it wasn’t just one baby, Qin Xiangnuan noticed Jian Zhiqing’s grip on her hand seemed to tighten. Qin Xiangnuan had somewhat prepared herself mentally, she wasn’t as nervous as Jian Zhiqing. The system had already said that there was definitely more than one in her belly.

Jian Zhiqing also breathed a sigh of relief, finally understanding why Qin Xiangnuan had been eating so much.

Back at home, Granny Lu and the Jians were there, all anxious about Qin Xiangnuan and the babies. But once they heard the situation after the couple returned, Li Qiuhua put her hands on her hips and playfully patted Jian Zhiqing on the shoulder.

"Good son, you’ve done mom proud, giving me two granddaughters at once," she thought of the adorable little granddaughters. No, she had to act now; she would buy clothes for her little granddaughters, and they’d need an extra set.

She picked up her wallet and dragged Jian Ming out to shop for the two precious granddaughters.

After so many years, except for Jian Li, the entire family was bald, finally, they could have adorable granddaughters to hold.

Qin Xiangnuan gave a wry smile. She too wished for daughters, but the system had already told her, the babies in her belly were also little baldies. Otherwise, why would it need to wait another decade or so? So, it’s destined to disappoint her mother-in-law; their house will still be a domain of little baldies.

Pouring herself a glass of water, Qin Xiangnuan took out a medicine box from the drawer. Qin Xiangnuan touched her round belly, "I feel like I’m out of favor now. Everyone dotes on me, but once they’re born, they’ll definitely dote on them instead. No wonder people say that a pregnant woman is like a queen, but after giving birth, she turns into a nanny. If I turn into a nanny, you’ll be the first I’ll strangle." She extended her finger and pinched hard on Jian Zhiqing’s waist, but his flesh was too firm for her to pinch.

Jian Zhiqing let her be, and his laughter grew louder, "Don’t worry, I will always love you the most. They have their parents to dote on them, but you only have me."

Qin Xiangnuan’s nose suddenly felt sour.

He truly understood her.
