"Tang Xian, you look after things here, I’ll go get a set of clothes for each of you," Tang Yue instructed Tang Xiyan to take good care, then she went home.

Tang Xiyan was a little taller than Tang Jun, but since summer clothes are all quite loose, that Lili can just wear one of her outfits.

Tang Xiyan looked at the clearly untouched new clothes, raised his head to look at Tang Yue, remembering how he used to look down on her, but today...

Tang Xiyan took a deep breath and said solemnly, "Thank you."

Tang Yue glanced at him and said, "Tang Xiyan, if dad were here, he would do the same as I have done. I’m only helping you because of dad."

If it weren’t for Mr. Tang, she couldn’t be bothered to help Tang Xiyan.

"Still, thank you." Tang Xiyan said another word of gratitude before he took the clothes to change.

In the hospital room, only Tang Yue was left. She looked at Lili who had fallen asleep, didn’t say a word, just placed the clothes aside. Lili was currently wearing a hospital gown, she could change into clean clothes when she woke up.

After a while, Tang Xiyan came back, and she asked Tang Xiyan to inform Lili’s family.

Tang Xiyan dared not go.

Tang Yue said, "The girl is hospitalized here, shouldn’t you at least notify her family? You’re the one who caused this; you should take responsibility for it. You are a man."

Tang Yue spoke irritably, previously Tang Xiyan had said he would marry Lili, and she thought he had some sense of responsibility, but now Tang Xiyan didn’t even dare go to Lili’s home, leaving her speechless.

"Rest assured and go, I’ll watch over things here for you," Tang Yue said, chasing Tang Xian away.

Tang Zhengde and his wife Zhang Hualian, along with Tang Jun, and the couple Tang Zhengyuan all arrived.

Wang Aihua, seeing only Tang Yue in the ward and not Tang Xian, blurted out: "Xiao Yue, where’s that scoundrel Tang Xian? Where the hell has he vanished to?"

Not the least bit considerate of the already sleeping Lili, Tang Yue frowned and said, "Auntie, Lili is still sleeping."

"She’s really too delicate; it’s not like..." Wang Aihua hadn’t finished speaking when she was pulled aside by Tang Zhengyuan. Wang Aihua still wanted to say something, but Tang Zhengyuan gave her a stern warning look, so she didn’t dare continue.

Nowadays, Tang Zhengyuan, also a semi-skilled worker at the factory, had seen his salary more than double over more than a year, to well over a hundred yuan, much more than the average worker’s pay.

With Tang Zhengyuan earning more money, he spoke with more confidence, especially since Tang Mingli and Tang Zhengde both earned quite impressively. Wang Aihua was even less daring to speak out of line in front of Tang Zhengyuan.

"Mom and Dad, why have you come too?" Disregarding Wang Aihua, Tang Yue greeted her parents and then said, "Tang Xian went to notify Lili’s family, so he isn’t here right now, but he should be back soon."

No sooner had Tang Yue finished speaking than Tang Xian arrived, followed by Lili’s parents.

"Where’s my daughter?" Lili’s mother arrived in tears, while her father, tall and formidable, looked quite fierce.

"Uncle, Auntie, Lili is still asleep," Tang Xian spoke up meekly.

Lili’s mother hugged Lili and burst into tears, cursing Tang Xian in between her sobs.

Although Wang Aihua also wanted to scold Tang Xian, she knew it took two to tango, and quickly restrained herself, unsure of how to address the person, she asked, "Tang Xian, what’s her name?"

"Guo Lili," Tang Xian answered, not daring to look at Tang Zhengyuan and Wang Aihua; ever since entering the room, he stood aside with his head hung low, looking remorseful.

"That’s enough, Lili’s mom, you can’t put all the blame on our Tang Xian," Wang Aihua interjected.

This set Mrs. Guo off—she was no pushover—and began furiously scolding Wang Aihua.

Accusing Wang Aihua of not disciplining her son properly, which lead to the seduction of her daughter, among other things.

Wang Aihua was no saint either, and the two went back and forth, starting a quarrel in the ward. The din woke the sleeping Lili up, and seeing both her parents there, she couldn’t help but shrink back under the covers, unsure of what to do.

She was somewhat afraid and didn’t dare meet Mr. Guo’s angry gaze, which seemed as though he wanted to gobble her up.

In the end, it was Zhang Hualian who came forth to mediate, slowly calming both parties down, thankfully preventing any physical altercation.

"So, tell me, what should we do now?" Mrs. Guo turned to Wang Aihua. After causing a scene, Mrs. Guo finally took a moment to look around at everyone and, upon laying eyes on Tang Zhengde and Zhang Hualian, couldn’t help but ask, "Aren’t you the owners of Zhenghua Breakfast Restaurant?"

Last year, when preparing to stir-fry dishes, they put up a sign: Zhenghua Restaurant, a combination of Tang Zhengde and Zhang Hualian’s names.

Mrs. Guo was fond of their Spicy Chopped Fish Head; although it was a bit pricey, she and Mr. Guo frequented the place from time to time.
