Rebirth in 1986: Unforgettable Regrets
Chapter 277: Sunrise (Second Update)
CHAPTER 277: CHAPTER 277: SUNRISE (SECOND UPDATE)
"That’s right, who else’s son would he be?" Tang Mingli said proudly, Tang You’an had completely inherited his looks and Wei Jiajia’s, especially those dimples on Tang You’an’s cheeks, which looked exactly like Wei Jiajia’s.
He particularly liked seeing Anan’s dimples.
"And why don’t you mention who gave birth to him?" Wei Jiajia smiled blissfully as she looked at him, feeling as if she were immersed in a honey jar.
"Wow~"
Anan suddenly woke up, and upon seeing strangers, he immediately burst into tears.
Wei Jiajia tossed the lotus pod into Tang Mingli’s arms and quickly ran towards Tang You’an.
Mo Siyu and Tang Yue hadn’t reacted yet, but Wei Jiajia quickly took Tang You’an into her arms, soothing him gently, her speed astonishing Tang Yue.
"Anan, be good, mommy’s right here," Wei Jiajia soothed gently.
Tang Yue stood up and watched as Tang You’an, with tears still on his eyelashes, breathed in the scent of his mother and fell back asleep. If not for the tear stains on his eyes, one would think it was all just an illusion.
"How magical," Tang Yue said in amazement.
Before, she never had her own children, and there were no small children like this at home. Even when she first met Xu Zhenzhen’s child, who was already over a year old and could speak.
After her rebirth, there were no small children like this at home either. She didn’t have the chance to interact with small children, as Anan had been born and ever since she had been preparing for the college entrance exam and dealing with Star Bright and Mingyue Clothing Factory, she barely had any time to spend with Anan.
"Anan will look for me in his sleep, and if he can’t find me, he will cry," Wei Jiajia explained.
"Xiao Yue, would you like to eat some lotus pod?" Tang Mingli brought a lotus pod, and upon not seeing Zhang Qiang and Tang Jun, he asked, "Where are Xiao Jun and Xiao Qiang?"
"They went to pick lotus pods too," Tang Yue replied, picking a fresh, large lotus pod. She peeled off the shell, removed the core, and took a crunchy bite, its refreshing scent wafting through the air.
"This tastes good." Tang Yue simply sat down with the lotus pod, continuing to peel and eat beneath the lush tree where the breeze blew coolly, dispersing the heat and making it very comfortable.
Tang Yue tossed one to Mo Siyu, saying, "It’s all-natural and tasty."
"What isn’t natural?" Mo Siyu asked casually. His hands were large, making the small lotus seeds look especially tiny. He quickly peeled the seeds and tried one. It tasted fine, but it wasn’t as extraordinary as Tang Yue had made it out to be.
Tang Mingli brought a heap of lotus pods for them, and he decided to stay at a motel with Wei Jiajia for the day. They planned to stay the night here, have a barbecue in the evening, and watch the sunrise tomorrow morning. Since the children were small and couldn’t join Mo Siyu for the sunrise outing, watching it from the motel offered a different experience.
Tang Yue conversed intermittently with Mo Siyu, peeling one lotus seed after another. She peeled and ate, focused and meticulous, without looking up at Mo Siyu.
She had no idea that Mo Siyu had found a clean plate and peeled a bunch of lotus seeds.
Tang Yue pouted her lips and said, "These are really hard to peel."
After eating a bunch of lotus pods and finally looking up, she saw a plate full of lotus seeds in front of her and instantly smiled brightly, happily saying, "Thank you."
"I prefer to hear something else." Mo Siyu placed the plate in front of her to make it easier for her to eat.
Tang Yue turned her eyes and said, "Thank you, my future fiancé."
"Do you have another fiancé right now?" Mo Siyu’s face darkened.
"We’re not engaged yet, so it doesn’t count." Tang Yue smiled cunningly.
Mo Siyu pursed his lips and said, "Only ten days left."
"Yes, after ten days, you’ll be my fiancé, isn’t that my future fiancé?" Tang Yue said seriously.
Mo Siyu simply changed the subject and started talking about something else. He asked, "Have you decided which university you want to apply to?"
"Jinghua, I guess." Tang Yue was not very sure and said, "I like Jinghua University, and I think they have a fashion design program."
Mo Siyu stared at Tang Yue, sizing her up and down, until she was baffled.
"Xiao Yue, your clothing designs are quite good. Do you still need to study in a specialized design program?" Mo Siyu asked.
"Well, there are always new mountains to climb and new people to meet. What I know now is all self-taught; if I study systematically at a school, might it be even better?" Tang Yue countered, sharing her genuine thoughts. Everything she knew was self-taught, and she wanted to study more earnestly, thinking there might be new breakthroughs.
Mo Siyu said, "That’s a good idea, you can always take an elective course later on."
When Tang Jun and Zhang Qiang returned, they brought back many lotus pods, so much so that Tang Yue was full from eating lotus seeds and skipped lunch.
They took a short rest and then started preparing for the evening barbecue, an idea proposed by Tang Yue. The barbecue setup was something she arranged, and as the evening breeze came, the grilled meat smelled exceptionally delicious. Everyone gathered together, laughing and chatting joyously.
"Ah, if Jiajie were here, it would be great. The three brothers could reunite," Tang Jun reminisced. Wei Jiajie was going to the seaside with Mr. Wei and would come to Wangjiang County a few days later, so for now, it was just Tang Jun and Zhang Qiang together.
"No worries, we can train in these days and see who among us is more formidable when he arrives," Zhang Qiang said, swinging his strong fist. After spending last year in a car team and following Zhu Yuanchao this year, he and Tang Jun had both shot up in height and made great progress in their physical skills.
Early in the morning, before dawn, Tang Yue and Mo Siyu changed into sportswear, and Tang Yue woke Tang Jun and Zhang Qiang, both of whom were groggy and struggled to open their eyes. Tang Jun said, "Sis, what’s so good about watching the sunrise?"
"Xiao Jun, Xiao Qiang, you have never seen it, how do you know it’s not beautiful?" Tang Yue insisted on dragging them out, washed their faces with cold water, which finally made them somewhat more alert. They climbed the mountain, with Tang Yue occasionally urging them to walk faster.
Tang Jun and Zhang Qiang competed like it was a race, seeing who could climb faster.
Tang Yue maintained a steady pace climbing the mountain.
At the mountain top, there was an old pavilion and next to it a large lawn, seemingly prepared specifically for watching the sunrise.
"Sis, will this sunrise be beautiful? Isn’t it just larger? What’s the difference?" Tang Jun had just said this when the light gradually emanating from the east became brighter, unlike the sun that usually hung high in the sky, suggesting something was indeed different.
The light slowly spread from the east, and with the morning breeze, it seemed the sun rose even faster. In a moment, the splendid sunlight spread over the land, dimming everything around, and in their view, all that was left was this beautiful sunrise.
