CHAPTER 384: CHAPTER 384: SURPRISE (SECOND UPDATE)

Xie Quan harbored the desire to find Mo Xiaoyu, but Mo Siyu’s words still rang in his ears, and the injuries from Mo Weidong’s beating were still on his body. If Mo Weidong was really with Mo Xiaoyu, wouldn’t he just get beaten again?

He was barely an adolescent, yet Xie Quan had no power to resist at all.

Xie Quan lamented in his heart. He stubbornly went to Mo Xiaoyu’s place, where Mo Xiaoyu had now started doing business. Her whole demeanor had undergone an earth-shattering transformation, which made Xie Quan regret even more.

However, when he saw Mo Xiaofeng and Zheng Chunhong, whether by coincidence or not, he just happened to overhear them muttering that if Xie Quan dared to come, they would make sure he never returned.

Xie Quan was scared out of his wits and no longer dared to seek out Mo Xiaoyu. He decided to leave Sea City and find a place where he could settle down first.

When Xie Quan got into the vehicle, Tang Jun and the others were so happy, they raised their glasses in celebration.

The Mo Family didn’t understand what these kids were so jubilant about.

Jing City.

Tang Yue waited for two or three days with the fleet. Since Mo Siyu was always out delivering goods, Tang Yue looked forward to his return every day. She didn’t have to cook for herself in the cafeteria of the fleet.

Xue Le always gave her extra portions.

During the day, Tang Yue barely went out except for when she aired out the quilts and chatted with other wives. Most of the time, she nestled at home designing clothes.

Qin Anyu had visited several times, always inviting Tang Yue to stay in the alley, but Tang Yue wanted to be the first person Mo Siyu saw when he returned, so she declined Qin Anyu.

Bai Qing had his own matters to attend to, so Tang Yue didn’t have to worry about him being alone in the alley.

Night.

Tang Yue went to bed early but couldn’t fall asleep. She sat under the lamp sketching, cuddling on the sofa with a notebook, quite comfortable and content.

She had placed a bouquet of fresh flowers on the coffee table, and many green plants adorned the balcony, lush and vibrant, evoking a feeling of thriving life.

Yawning, Tang Yue grew sleepier as she drew. Eventually, she curled up on the sofa and, hugging her drawings, fell asleep.

Mo Siyu returned home late at night and saw the dim light. He instantly guessed Tang Yue had arrived.

Mo Siyu strode toward his place, carefully opened the door, and there Tang Yue was, sweetly asleep on the sofa under a blanket, a dim lamp beside her. The soft light seemed to enshroud her in a faint glow.

Her long black hair was casually strewn in front of her, and her peaceful sleeping face was like someone who had stepped out of a painting. With her eyes closed, her delicate features were something he could gaze upon endlessly.

This beautiful scene was etched forever into Mo Siyu’s heart.

Standing at the door, Mo Siyu grabbed a set of clothes and stepped back out to take a bath at the communal bathing pool. When he returned, Tang Yue was still sleeping sweetly. He quietly closed the door, bent down intending to lift her up, and just as his hand touched Tang Yue, her eyes snapped open.

"Are you back?" Tang Yue’s voice was still drowsy and languid, and once she saw it was him, she reached out and hugged him with bleary eyes.

Those brief four words crashed into his heart as if a wife had been waiting at home for her husband to return from the outside world.

The feeling of her hugging him with trust made Mo Siyu wish he could present all the treasures of the world before Tang Yue.

"Xiao Yue, I’m back," Mo Siyu said softly as he effortlessly lifted Tang Yue into his arms.

Still half asleep, Tang Yue snuggled into his chest and murmured, "I’ve been waiting so long for you."

"Sorry to have kept you waiting," Mo Siyu kissed her forehead, settled her into bed, and quickly covered her with the quilt, fearing she might catch a cold. He held her tightly, warming her with his body temperature while gently stroking her long hair, whispering, "Sleep now."

Tang Yue fumbled for the most comfortable sleeping position and slept soundly until dawn.

Mo Siyu, having not closed his eyes for several days, held Tang Yue and fell into a pleasant sleep.

The morning sunlight spilled over.

When Tang Yue woke up, she saw a disheveled Mo Siyu.

She blinked her eyes, recalling the blurry memories of last night, and to her surprise, it was all real.

He had really come back.

Tang Yue stared at him intently; his unshaven look meant he hadn’t had time to shave, and his face seemed to show signs of fatigue.

Despite this, Mo Siyu’s handsomeness was still unmatched.

Tang Yue dared not move, fearing any movement would wake Mo Siyu.

She carefully turned to her side, pretending to roll over, and quietly observed him, looking at his profile, and her hand couldn’t help but gently lift to trace the contours of his face.

However, before her hand even touched Mo Siyu, it was caught.

Those pitch-black eyes gazed at her, and Tang Yue playfully stuck out her tongue, saying, "Did I wake you up?"

"Hmm." Mo Siyu’s voice was a bit husky.

Tang Yue leaned forward, freeing her hands, and gently placed them on his chin. The unruly stubble pricked her, and she asked, "Are you so busy delivering goods that you don’t even have time to shave?"

"Hmm." Mo Siyu responded, adding, "When you’re out and about, you don’t fuss over these things."

"Then..." Tang Yue’s eyes rolled, and she suddenly sat up, pulling at his clothes, starting to check if he had acquired any new injuries.

"Check my back." Tang Yue pushed him, lifting his shirt with both hands to inspect his back, and apart from the old wounds, there were no new ones.

Tang Yue’s heart slowly eased.

Her soft, boneless hands on his back were torture to him, every second of it.

Unconsciously, Tang Yue laid back down.

"Mo..." Tang Yue was about to speak, but in the next moment her lips were sealed. The disobedient stubble teased her delicate skin, and his overbearing presence enveloped her completely.

...

After an indeterminate length of time, Tang Yue looked at him with her flushed cheeks and freshly moistened lips, vibrant and enticing, and she playfully blinked her eyes and said, "Si Yu, I didn’t tease you. It’s just your own lack of self-control."

Mo Siyu: "..."

She might not have meant to tease him, but her every word and expression excited him greatly this morning. What is self-control? It had long since vanished.

Mo Siyu quickly got up. If he stayed in bed any longer, he really might turn into the big bad wolf, ready to gobble up the little bunny.

For breakfast, they had porridge. Although it was the same white porridge, having someone else’s company made it all the more sweet.

"It’s cold outside, why don’t you stay in today? I’ll bring you lunch later." Mo Siyu, now clean-shaven, looked much more refreshed, his gaze tender and doting, making one wish to be immersed in it.

Tang Yue smiled softly and said, "How about we cook lunch ourselves? Yesterday, I had Xue Le bring me some groceries."
