CHAPTER 403: CHAPTER 403: RELIEVING LOVESICKNESS (THIRD UPDATE)
But it was just a profile, which a familiar person would recognize in a glance. This was Mo Siyu, and beside him, a scantily clad woman.
Tang Yue’s eyes flickered.
"Xiao Yue, this is just an act for the occasion. Besides, it’s not necessarily Mo Siyu," Bai Qing explained.
But Tang Yue ignored her; she looked closely and said, "This is him. But, is delivery even made to nightclubs?"
"Bai Qing, do you know? Could there be any danger?" Tang Yue asked with uncertainty.
There were a few possibilities that could occur in this place.
Bai Qing had been paying attention to Tang Yue’s expression, noticing she didn’t show the slightest hint of anger.
Hearing her question, Bai Qing got the feeling of ’the eunuch is more anxious than the emperor’.
Could it be that what Tang Yue really was concerned about wasn’t Mo Siyu and that woman, but whether Mo Siyu could be in danger?
How big was her heart...
"Ahem, you should know, he and I were both in the same security company before, and we both took on some missions. Maybe this is just one of his tasks?" Bai Qing didn’t hide this from Tang Yue; after all, Tang Yue already knew about these things.
"Bai Qing, could it be very dangerous?" Tang Yue immediately became worried. Mo Siyu had been injured several times on previous missions, and his wounds had not fully healed yet. How could he take on such a dangerous task again?
"He’s quite capable," Bai Qing pursed her lips. For someone like Feng Zhi, this level of task was child’s play.
"That’s true." Tang Yue agreed, thinking of Mo Siyu’s skills. Had it not been for Liu Ying’s interference, Mo Siyu wouldn’t have gotten hurt last time, so she relaxed and began to appreciate the photo, saying, "It would be better if this profile could show just a bit more."
"Um, the lighting is also a bit too dim." Tang Yue examined the picture, muttering to herself without any hint of jealousy.
"Xiao Yue, you don’t feel... angry?" Bai Qing asked in surprise.
Tang Yue, engrossed in the photo to ease her longing, looked up blankly at Bai Qing’s words.
"Jealous," Bai Qing said with a grin, pointing at the scantily clad woman in the photo. "Look, this woman is wearing too little; all this is exposed. Aren’t you jealous?"
"There’s no reason to be jealous, Mo Siyu is not that kind of person," Tang Yue stated confidently, never doubting Mo Siyu’s character.
Bai Qing looked at her deeply. Even when dining in the evening or when Tang Yue was alone, Bai Qing would secretly observe her. Tang Yue acted as usual, with no differences, and even seemed somewhat happier.
It was then that Bai Qing truly believed Tang Yue wasn’t jealous.
Over the next few days, a photo would arrive daily, different places, different women. Tang Yue looked at each photo, seeing only Mo Siyu and not any other person. These photos perfectly alleviated her longing.
"Bai Qing, what do you think the intent of the person sending these photos is?" Tang Yue belatedly realized after receiving the fourth photo for four consecutive days.
It was definitely not sent by Mo Siyu.
"You’re just reacting now?" Bai Qing was speechless at her delayed response. She had investigated the sender of the photos on the first day. Unfortunately, the person was very cautious. Despite several days of investigation, she hadn’t found any useful information.
"I..." Tang Yue said with a blushing face: "I just forgot."
"They probably want to break you two apart," Bai Qing said offhandedly.
Otherwise, who has nothing better to do than to send photos to Tang Yue?
"Just because of a few photos, they think they can break us up?" Tang Yue curled her lip in disdain. Isn’t that a bit of an underestimation of her relationship with Mo Siyu?
Bai Qing remained silent, not saying a word, but in her heart, she replied that if it were someone else who saw these photos, they might have had a huge fight with their partner, unlike Tang Yue’s calm demeanor, as if Mo Siyu had sent the photos for her to see.
Four days later, the photos were gone.
Tang Yue then looked forward to them every day, but alas, there were no more photos. She felt down for a few days, but thinking of those four photos, she would look at them repeatedly at home, even at night, she would take them out to see yet again. She planned to drag Mo Siyu to take a picture together when he returned. Otherwise, it was unfair that he had her photo, but she didn’t have his.
Time quickly passed, and several days flew by. Mingyue Clothing Factory’s new building started laying its foundation while Xingyao Clothing Factory was slightly ahead.
Tang Yue had fewer classes and drew more drafts, but her teacher was not very satisfied.
She never missed a computer class.
For design classes, Tang Yue attended once a month, even though her grades were always good. The teacher specially talked to her. Tang Yue explained she knew everything taught so far and would attend more classes if she found them difficult to understand.
The teacher randomly checked some of Tang Yue’s homework. Not only did she answer them, but she also did very well, so the teachers had nothing to say and let her be. However, they had one condition: Tang Yue’s exam scores had to be very good. Otherwise, she would have to attend classes every day.
Tang Yue agreed and happily went home.
Wei Jiajia also slowly adapted to life in Jing City; she got to know many aunties and grandmas in the alleys while taking her child with her to shop for groceries.
March arrived, and it was the season of blossoming spring. When the sun shone, the temperature in Jing City warmed up too. The thick coats were swapped for woolen overcoats, underneath which were worn sweaters—both warm and good-looking.
"Xiao Yue." Mo Siyu suddenly appeared in the alley.
Tang Yue was in the studio working on some clothes at the moment. As she heard Mo Siyu’s voice, she couldn’t help but jump in fright.
"Eh, you’re back?" Tang Yue put down the scissors in her hand. She walked over and looked Mo Siyu up and down, asking, "You’re not injured, are you?"
Tang Yue’s hands searched over Mo Siyu’s body, making sure there were no bandages or anything like that, only then did she feel relieved.
"No." Mo Siyu answered, hugging her tightly in his arms.
Tang Yue struggled with a blush, "Bai Qing is still here."
"She’s already left." Mo Siyu’s forehead rested against hers, a kiss dissolving their yearning.
After a long time, Tang Yue went limp in his embrace. Had it not been for his hands clasping her waist, she probably couldn’t stand on her own, feeling like all her strength had left her.
"Go to the motorcade tomorrow?" Mo Siyu proposed.
Tang Yue thought about it and said, "No, you tell me, what was your mission this time?"
"Hmm, when did you get interested in my missions?" Mo Siyu raised an eyebrow, his gaze falling on her tender lips, moisturized and glistening.
"Just tell me," Tang Yue softly coaxed him, remembering those photos the moment she saw Mo Siyu. Although she wasn’t jealous, she had to clear this matter up.
"What do you want to hear?" Mo Siyu didn’t answer but instead asked back.
Tang Yue’s eyes darted around, went back to the room to get the photos, and handed them to him, with a look that said ’how are you going to explain this’.
