CHAPTER 413: CHAPTER 413: CHOSE THE WRONG PERSON (THIRD UPDATE)
Mo Siyu, though parting from the fleet, wouldn’t see his relationship with the Qin Family severed because of it.
"Brother." Overwhelmed with tears, Qin Anyu and her brother spent the entire evening talking in the living room.
At daybreak, when Qin Anhao was about to leave, he still hadn’t seen Mr. Qin’s figure.
"Knock knock." Qin Anhao tapped on Mr. Qin’s door, saying, "Grandpa, I know this choice of mine might upset you, but Grandpa, I also want to achieve something, to make you proud, to be someone you can boast about."
"Grandpa, please take good care of yourself. I’ll come visit whenever I can." Qin Anhao whispered his heart out before he reluctantly departed.
As he left, Mr. Qin’s door remained closed.
Qin Anyu escorted Qin Anhao out, the siblings seemingly having an endless stream of words for each other.
Inside the house, Old Qin stood at the window, watching Qin Anhao leave. He understood his grandson’s choice, but he just couldn’t bear to see him go.
The car started, carrying away Qin Anhao and Old Qin’s longing.
Qin Anyu watched the car vanish from the yard, not a trace left in sight, before finally turning to leave.
For several days in a row, the Qin Family was steeped in gloom, Qin Anyu staying home instead of going back to the alley, to keep Mr. Qin company.
"Little Yu, don’t worry, I will stay healthy and wait for Anhao to return." Mr. Qin wasn’t stubborn; he just temporarily couldn’t let go.
"Grandpa, who knows, Brother might even bring home a sister-in-law." Qin Anyu cheerfully teased Mr. Qin.
Mr. Qin laughed and waved his hand dismissively, "Enough of that. Don’t I know what your brother is like? If he actually brings back a sister-in-law, I’d wake up laughing even from a dream."
"Grandpa, Mo Siyu found Xiao Yue, my brother isn’t any worse, surely he can find a beautiful sister-in-law too," Qin Anyu thought. With Qin Anhao’s good looks, martial skills, and career, definitely many women would like her brother; it was just that he was too picky.
"Sister An Yu, is Grandpa Qin feeling any better?" Tang Yue immediately asked upon seeing Qin Anyu.
She was aware of Qin Anhao’s departure; the elderly might hope to have their children close, and suddenly leaving would surely require an adjustment period.
"Much better," Qin Anyu nodded, adding, "Xiao Yue, honestly, I feel like I’m holding my brother back."
"Sister An Yu, if Brother Qin knew what you were thinking, he would probably be so angry he’d come back and give you a beating," Tang Yue consoled her. "Sister An Yu, now you need to get the Star Bright factory built quickly. The branch store is already being prepared, and if the factory isn’t up in time and there aren’t enough clothes, those rented shops will also cost a lot of money."
"Right," sparked by the topic, Qin Anyu instantly became energized.
"Xiao Yue, I’m going to check on the factory. It’s been a while, I don’t even know if the framework has been built." Qin Anyu hurried off.
Tang Yue shook her head as she watched her leave.
The Star Bright Factory, started earlier than Mingyue Clothing Factory, now had its framework up.
When Qin Anyu got to the factory, she checked the blueprints to confirm everything was correct, then communicated with the construction workers on how to expedite the building, all the while putting up more money to have the contractor bring in extra help to hurry up the schedule.
Of course, when it came to the safety of the building, Qin Anyu made it very clear to the contractor that quality was a must. For this reason, Qin Anyu specifically hired a supervisor to ensure that hastening the schedule wouldn’t compromise the quality of the work.
As Qin Anyu was preparing to leave the construction site in the afternoon, she happened to run into Chu Hong.
Qin Anyu fixed her gaze on Chu Hong and asked, "What are you doing here?"
Chu Hong indicated a spot nearby and replied, "I’ve bought some land and plan to build a factory in this area."
"When did your Chu Family start doing business?" Qin Anyu retorted, and moreover, Chu Hong’s factory was right next to hers, which always felt off to her.
"Chu Family is Chu Family, I am me, I secretly do my own business, why can’t I?" Chu Hong said with a justified tone.
Qin Anyu’s lips moved, but ultimately she didn’t say anything and turned to walk away.
"Anyu, take a ride with me in my car." Chu Hong invited her.
Qin Anyu walked even faster; she really didn’t want to have any contact with Chu Hong.
"Ouch." In her haste to avoid Chu Hong and wearing a pair of high heels, Qin Anyu didn’t know if she stepped on a stone or if the ground was uneven, but she twisted her ankle and the whole person fell to the side.
It’s over.
Qin Anyu had already prepared herself for the pain of the fall, however, the anticipated pain was not there; instead, she fell into a warm embrace.
"Be careful." Chu Hong quickly stepped forward to catch her.
Qin Anyu pushed his hands away.
Chu Hong held her hand and refused to let go, insisting, "Anyu, stop acting like a child, you’ve twisted your ankle, what if you fall again? How would we handle that?"
"It’s all your fault." Only when Qin Anyu moved did she feel how painfully severe her ankle was, her eyes brimming with tears. If it wasn’t for Chu Hong, how could she have been so careless as to walk so fast and take a fall?
"Alright, alright." Chu Hong squatted down and reached for Qin Anyu’s foot.
Qin Anyu defensively asked, "What are you doing?"
"I’m checking your foot." Chu Hong grabbed her foot, and when he touched it lightly, Qin Anyu yelled out in pain.
"Ow, ow, ow." Qin Anyu screamed in pain, saying, "Stop pinching it, I should go see a doctor. Don’t make it worse."
Qin Anyu was sweating with the pain.
Chu Hong squatted down.
Qin Anyu was about to hobble away, but seeing Chu Hong’s posture, she didn’t understand what he meant for a long moment.
"Get on." Chu Hong grabbed her hand and turned his head, signaling with his eyes for Qin Anyu to climb onto his back.
"No." Qin Anyu felt awkward.
Chu Hong said, "Anyu, are you sure you want to be stubborn with me, refusing my offer to carry you? Just look for yourself how far it is from here to the roadside."
This area was a construction site, quite a distance from the road, and cars couldn’t come in—they had to be parked far outside.
"If you don’t mind a second injury to your foot, then keep walking," Chu Hong said, although he did not stand up.
Qin Anyu looked up and couldn’t even see the shadow of a car. The road ahead was uneven; thinking about her severely painful foot, if she really walked to the car, she feared her leg might be ruined.
Qin Anyu felt somewhat embarrassed, but with a pull from Chu Hong, her entire body was on his back.
Chu Hong’s back was broad. The formerly mischievous boy seemed to have grown up, his steps were steady, each one was firm.
