Chapter 724: Rushing Into Your Arms
CHAPTER 724: CHAPTER 724: RUSHING INTO YOUR ARMS
"Xiao Yue, do you remember the room you lived in before? I’ve prepared a surprise for you!" Bai Qing said mysteriously as she pushed Tang Yue upstairs.
"Sister Qing, what surprise can be so mysterious?"
Tang Yue hadn’t even had a sip of tea before Bai Qing pushed her upstairs.
"Go quickly, you’ll definitely like it," Bai Qing urged.
As Tang Yue climbed the stairs, for some reason, she felt an inexplicable nervousness. Her heart, spurred on by Bai Qing’s urging, was hung high. Deep down, there was a hint of anticipation, yet it seemed unbelievable.
The moment she opened the door, the room was quiet. The curtains were drawn, making the light inside somewhat dim. Since someone had been cleaning it, it looked as if someone had always lived there.
Tang Yue entered the room with confusion, and suddenly, from the corner of her eye, she looked towards the other side of the door at that tall figure.
Isn’t he supposed to be in Jin City?
Why has he suddenly appeared here?
She couldn’t be dreaming.
"Wife." Meng Siyu opened his arms towards her.
"Husband~"
Tang Yue happily and excitedly threw herself towards that figure.
"Why did you go abroad? Didn’t you say the company had a lot of work? You came to Country F, why didn’t you come to see me? I’ve mentioned my address to you many times."
Tang Yue, out of excitement, spoke somewhat incoherently.
"Mmm~"
Before she could ask anything, her lips were sealed, carrying Meng Siyu’s unique scent. Even after not seeing him for half a year, she could immediately recognize his scent.
She paused for a moment, then placed her hands on his shoulders, shyly and passionately responding.
This kiss seemed to last an eternity.
Their bodies pressed together, she could clearly feel little Si Yu’s passion for her.
"Wife, I’ve missed you."
Meng Siyu held her tightly in his arms, not doing anything else, just holding her tightly, as if he wanted to meld her into his bones.
Leaning against his chest, Tang Yue felt Meng Siyu’s reaction and seemed to understand something. She paused before softly saying, "Are you about to leave?"
"Yes." Meng Siyu’s arms tightened even more, so tight that Tang Yue felt a bit of pain.
Tang Yue stayed silent, wishing she could cling to him completely, and asked, "How long?"
"Half an hour," Meng Siyu muttered, his words laden with deep reluctance.
"Wait a moment."
Tang Yue suddenly pushed him away and ran towards the window.
Meng Siyu was caught off guard, and the fastest to react was him; all he felt was the silky touch of Tang Yue’s dress.
’Swish.’
The curtains were drawn open, the wind from outside blew in, and the sunlight rushed in as well. She turned around, and Meng Siyu’s features were clear in the sunlight. He wore an outfit resembling a combat suit; his face was a bit darker and thinner.
When Tang Yue was sizing up Meng Siyu, he was also looking at his wife.
Wearing a white long dress, Tang Yue looked ethereally beautiful, her long black hair casually tied behind her head, radiating youthfulness. Her beautiful eyes were fixed on him unwaveringly, filled with various emotions—longing, excitement, joy, and also reluctance.
"Wife, I’m sorry." Meng Siyu suddenly apologized, by now feeling even more guilty that being a brother-in-law was no easy task. Busy with company matters, he barely finished them when An Chong undertook another task. Even though it also brought him to Country F, the time to see Tang Yue was very short.
Half an hour, very brief, so brief that before he could even start his lengthy speech, it seemed like time was already up.
Tang Yue opened her arms and plunged into his embrace, looking up with a sweet smile, she said, "Better half an hour than not seeing you at all."
"Today is Mid-Autumn Festival, have you eaten mooncakes?" Tang Yue asked.
"I just ate, the ones you brought." Meng Siyu’s forehead touched hers, his gaze wandering as he spoke, "You’ve lost weight, are you not used to the food here? Every time I call, you always say you’re fine."
"Isn’t it better to be a bit slimmer?" Tang Yue giggled, hiding all her reluctance deep in her heart.
"Si Yu," Tang Yue blinked and asked with a serious expression, "What mission are you on this time? Is it dangerous?"
"No danger," Meng Siyu said lightly: "It’s just finding something. After I leave, we can discuss strategies. There’s a layover here for two hours, so I borrowed half an hour to come out here."
"Don’t worry, when my company is less busy, I’ll come see you again." Meng Siyu kissed her lightly on the nose and said, "Wife, don’t you know how awesome your husband is?"
"Right, right, right, my husband is the best," Tang Yue looked at him with admiration.
Meng Siyu hugged her around the waist and leaned back, sitting down on the couch. Tang Yue was not at all alarmed, trusting Meng Siyu completely with her whole heart.
She had so much to say, but Tang Yue remained silent, just quietly leaning against his chest, feeling his heartbeat.
"Counting the days, there are 120 days left until you can return home, and then, we can be reunited." Meng Siyu played with her black hair, smooth and black; every time he enjoyed it slipping through his fingers, carrying a faint fragrance.
"Where will you be for New Year’s?" Tang Yue asked looking up, pulling at the stubble sprouting from his chin.
"I should be in Jin City. Pinganda is planning to open a company there too. Would you like to join me in Jin City for the New Year?" Meng Siyu invited her, his dark eyes full of anticipation.
Tang Yue grinned and said, "Wherever you go, I follow."
"But where would I stay if I go?" Tang Yue thought of this issue and immediately countered.
Meng Siyu choked a bit and said, "We could buy a house."
"Where did you get the money?" Tang Yue immediately sat up, looking at him skeptically, recalling that his salary had always been managed by her; where would he get the money to buy a house?
"My wife is rich," Meng Siyu stated matter-of-factly.
Tang Yue burst into laughter, her smile as beautiful as peach blossoms in March, beyond all compare. She said, "Buying a house is not a bad idea. I remember Star Bright opened a store in Jin City; I could go shopping there. Jin City is also a great tourist destination, buying that house will definitely be worth it."
Tang Yue thought of the tourists who would flock to Jin City in the future, a lot indeed. Taking advantage of the current opportunity to buy a house there, it was sure to appreciate in value over the years. Even if she didn’t think of selling, it would still give them a place to stay when visiting Jin City.
