CHAPTER 190: CHAPTER 190 HARD WORK!
However, she didn’t think too much about it, and after saying a word to Father Jiang, she left.
After Jiang Xue had left, Mu Qiancheng looked at Father Jiang and said, "Dad, Xue’er is gone, if you have anything to tell me, go ahead."
Father Jiang was still a bit embarrassed, but it was somewhat better than having to speak directly to Jiang Xue. Moreover, he thought of how a son-in-law is like half a son, so he finally spoke, "I need to use the restroom."
Mu Qiancheng had anticipated this might be the reason; otherwise, why would Father Jiang feel embarrassed speaking up in front of Jiang Xue?
So, he smiled and helped Father Jiang to the restroom, then asked, "Dad, how do you feel now? Any gas relieved? Are you hungry? Do you want something to eat?"
Father Jiang shook his head with a smile and said, "I’m not hungry, just keep me company for a chat."
"Alright!" Mu Qiancheng sat down and chatted with Father Jiang.
When Jiang Xue returned with food, she saw the two of them chatting and laughing. So, she walked in and smiled, "What are you two talking about? So happy."
"You’re back, let me see what you bought to eat." Seeing Jiang Xue return, the two stopped chatting. Mu Qiancheng took the items from Jiang Xue’s hands, glanced at them, and then laughed, "Xue’er, thank you for your hard work!"
Jiang Xue smiled back at Mu Qiancheng, then looked at Father Jiang on the bed and asked, "Dad, are you okay?"
She remembered that before she went to buy things, Father Jiang seemed to have something going on.
"It’s all good now." Father Jiang shook his head, then said to her, "You both haven’t had breakfast, right? Go eat quickly. Don’t stay hungry."
"Dad, do you want to eat something?"
"No need, I’m not hungry yet, you two go ahead."
Jiang Xue didn’t push further, knowing that Father Jiang hadn’t passed gas yet and couldn’t eat anything.
Mu Qiancheng had already laid out the food and was waiting to eat with Jiang Xue. Watching them, Father Jiang showed a content smile.
He always felt guilty towards his daughter, but seeing Mu Qiancheng being good to her somewhat alleviated his guilt.
In the afternoon, Mrs. Jiang came over and told Jiang Xue and Mu Qiancheng to take a rest.
Once out of the hospital, Jiang Xue didn’t return to the hotel. Instead, she said to Mu Qiancheng, "Qiancheng, since you’re free, let’s go look at houses. I want to finalize the house today."
"Sure!" Mu Qiancheng readily agreed, as he could also help with the decision-making.
So the two of them took a bus directly to Cuihu New Language, the place where Jiang Xue had previously viewed houses.
Upon arrival, Jiang Xue went straight to the sales office. Just as she was about to find Xiao Wang, a few saleswomen surrounded them, asking, "Soldier, are you looking to buy a house?"
Only then did Jiang Xue realize that these saleswomen had gathered around because of Mu Qiancheng. Her expression darkened as she gave them a cold glance and said, "I’m looking for Xiao Wang."
"Why look for her? If you want to buy a house, we can assist you."
"Yeah, yeah, Xiao Wang is a newbie. She’s been here for months and hasn’t sold a single house yet. So, it’s better to find us rather than her."
"I’m looking for Xiao Wang." Jiang Xue repeated, then started searching around for Xiao Wang.
Sitting in the corner, Xiao Wang heard someone calling for her and stood up, asking, "Who’s looking for me?"
Jiang Xue spotted Xiao Wang and walked towards her. Mu Qiancheng watched his wife go and didn’t pay further attention to the saleswomen, following Jiang Xue instead.
