Seeing Father Jiang say so, Mrs. Jiang finally took the bowl and started eating.

"Xue’er, your mother-in-law is quite the cook, this chicken soup is really delicious," Mrs. Jiang praised while eating. She hadn’t had such good chicken soup for a long time.

"Mom, if you like it, eat more. My father-in-law said they’d send over more tonight."

"Really? That’s very kind of your father-in-law and mother-in-law."

"Yes, Xue’er, when I’m better, I must thank them properly."

"Then, Dad, you need to get better soon."

"Okay, okay, I’ll definitely get better as soon as I can."

Mrs. Jiang finished the chicken soup, while Jiang Xue had some of the dishes Mrs. Jiang bought, then stayed in the hospital with them until her father-in-law, Mu Siwu, brought dinner over. After that, she went home with him.

The next day, Jiang Xue didn’t go to the hospital in the morning but instead went to furnish the two other apartments completely. It wasn’t until then that her in-laws learned she’d bought three apartments.

Finally, they understood why she said that once Father Jiang was discharged, they’d just stay in the city and not go back.

They originally thought that the in-laws would also live with Jiang Xue, wondering if it would be inconvenient. Now, they realized there was no such problem.

Not only that, but they could also take care of each other.

In the span of a morning, Jiang Xue bought all the items but had no time to organize them. Since she needed to go to the hospital in the afternoon, she headed there right after lunch.

After Jiang Xue left, Bai Yuhua and Mu Siwu found nothing to do at home, so they went to the other two apartments to clean up.

Knowing that one of the apartments was for their own living, and that it was the same size as the one for the in-laws, they were finally relieved. They had been worried that Jiang Xue might have bought different sizes for the elders on either side, fearing idle gossip.

Thankfully, Jiang Xue handled things appropriately, buying them houses of the same size. Not only that, but the furnishings were also quite similar, just in different colors.

The two spent the whole afternoon tidying up the apartments, then rushed to prepare dinner, which Mu Siwu took to the hospital for Father Jiang and the others.

Originally, Jiang Xue was supposed to stay overnight, but Mrs. Jiang disagreed, saying she had children at home. So, she promptly sent her back home.

Jiang Xue had no choice but to return home with Mu Siwu.

As soon as she walked in the door, a smile appeared on her face. It turned out Mu Qiancheng had come back. Jiang Xue had planned to visit the camp in a few days to talk to him about family matters and Mr. Mu.

Unexpectedly, he had come here.

"Qian Cheng, how did you know we were here?" Jiang Xue asked Mu Qiancheng with a beaming smile. She hadn’t told him when she’d arrive.

"I called home this afternoon, and Uncle Wang said you were in the city. So, I came directly to find you," Mu Qiancheng replied with a smile. He called home wanting Jiang Xue to come to Xu City,

because he had promised Mr. Mu to ask for Jiang Xue’s opinion on whether she’d be willing to see him.

At this moment, Mu Qiancheng didn’t know his young wife had already met Mr. Mu.

"We’ve been here for three days. I was planning to find time to visit the camp and let you know we had moved, but you came on your own, which saves me a trip."

As Jiang Xue and Mu Qiancheng were talking, Bai Yuhua came out of the kitchen, glanced at them, and said, "Let’s not chat now; eat first, and we’ll talk after dinner."
