CHAPTER 88: CHAPTER 88: THE FOX CHOPPING FIREWOOD
"Tsk, if you don’t listen to me, you’ll suffer the consequences." The Little Fox sneered, wanting to help Jiang Xue, but she didn’t appreciate it.
"If you’re so great, you do it!" Jiang Xue retorted irritably.
"Fine, I’ll do it!" The Little Fox, not one to back down, immediately agreed and said, "But you have to take me out first."
"You can get out?" Jiang Xue was startled and asked. Seeing the Little Fox always staying in the space, she thought it couldn’t come out.
"Yeah, but only if you take me with you."
"Really?" Jiang Xue was overjoyed. If the Little Fox could come out, she’d not only have a cute pet but also someone to talk to.
"You’ll know if it’s true once you try," the Little Fox said impatiently.
"Alright, I’ll bring you out." Jiang Xue said as she touched her bracelet and entered the space. The Little Fox was already waiting and, seeing Jiang Xue come in, leaped onto her and said, "Let’s go!"
Jiang Xue nodded, holding the Little Fox, and exited the space.
Outside, Jiang Xue found that she had indeed brought the Little Fox out and was overjoyed.
"Little Fox, are you okay out here?" Jiang Xue asked worriedly, gently petting the Little Fox’s head.
"Don’t worry, I’m the Fox Immortal; what could happen to me?" The Little Fox replied, appearing haughty yet adorable.
"As long as you’re okay." Jiang Xue felt relieved and then picked up the hatchet, asking the Fox, "I’m leaving this task to you."
The Little Fox glanced at the hatchet in Jiang Xue’s hand with disdain and said, "Tsk, I don’t need that axe. Watch this!"
After speaking, the Little Fox raised its paw, and a shadow appeared in front of Jiang Xue.
Jiang Xue looked closely and found that the shadow was humanoid. Upon closer inspection, the shadow was holding an axe.
"Go!" said the Little Fox, and the shadow immediately went towards the pile of wood.
As the axe swung down, the entire pile of wood was split in an instant, scattering into pieces.
Seeing how long it took her to chop just a few logs, and now the shadow finished a whole pile in no time, Jiang Xue was completely stunned.
The Little Fox watched from the side, and when the shadow finished splitting the wood, it shouted, "Return!"
With that word, the shadow vanished instantly. Jiang Xue looked at the neatly chopped wood in disbelief; no one would believe such a large pile was done in less than two minutes.
"Little Fox, you’re amazing!" Jiang Xue gazed at the Little Fox in admiration, amazed at its abilities.
"You should know who I am! Of course, I’m amazing!" The Little Fox proudly pointed at the somewhat scattered firewood and said, "Are you planning to leave the wood like this?"
Jiang Xue came back to her senses and hurriedly stacked the firewood.
After stacking the firewood, Jiang Xue washed her hands, then picked up the Little Fox and affectionately rubbed its head, asking, "Little Fox, what other abilities do you have that I don’t know about?"
"There are plenty of abilities you don’t know about; you’ll discover them slowly." The Little Fox glanced at Jiang Xue, its gaze flickering, then yawned and said, "I’m going back now."
"Back, back where?" Jiang Xue didn’t quite catch on for a moment.
