The room smelled of rain and roses, tinged with the ghost of a storm that had passed only hours before.
Renée lay tangled in the pale sheets behind me, her bare back glistening in the faint morning light. Even in her vampiric state where exhaustion wasn't supposed to exist, her body remained still, unmoving. Not asleep, no. Vampires didn't sleep. But she was… out, completely utterly out from the 'punishment' I gave her last night for teasing me and Bella.
I smiled quietly to myself.
It wasn't only pride that filled my chest as I rose from the bed from knocking the brains out of a vampire. It was also something softer. Something closer to reverence. Each time with her increased our feelings for each other if that was even possible. I can now understand why vampires kill themselves when their mate's die though it is different for me as I have multiple mates that can anchor me to life but her…
She had given all of herself to me, mind, body, and soul. She has devoted herself to me in almost worship like love. For her I'm above everything else, even her daughter and I don't want to play favourites but she will also be my first in everything even amongst my mates.
I gave her inviting body one one last glance before I turned to the glass door and slipped into a loose pair of black cotton lounge pants and walked barefoot across the hardwood floor. The glass door gave way to the outside, cool and damp beneath my fingers as I opened it and stepped out into the soft drizzle.
The rain greeted me like an old friend.
It didn't touch me of course not. A psychic shield bloomed around my body, shimmering faintly in the overcast air. But the scent of the storm, the whisper of each droplet hitting the pool or trees beyond, still wrapped itself around me like a silk coat.
I always enjoyed rainy weather and greenery it brought alongside the calming sounds of rainfall, one of the main reasons I chose to settled in Forks.
Walking over to one of the reclining chairs that lined the edge of the infinity pool, its water catching the gray light like silver glass. With a silent hum, I gestured with a flick of my fingers.
From inside the house, a cup of coffee hovered through the air, steaming. It floated into my hand and settled there as if the universe had offered it. I made it with telekinesis as I walked here, a show of result how far I have come with my gift.
I had never stopped training my abilities and it never stopped growing. Each day the reserve of my psychic energy grows by a drop and so does my control over it. I have tried speed up the growth of my reserve many times using many different methods but it never worked. It always grew by a drop each day only.
Regardless it has grown quite big in these ten years. What once was a small puddle is now a medium size river enough to kills hundreds of vampires single handedly.
Enough to kill those son of bitches with ease now. But that would be too easy I want them to suffer. To have their power and influence slowly vein. The fear they have over supernatural world fade. Only once they realise they are worth nothing and would fade away in history would I kill them.
A smile made my face as I brought the cup to my mouth. I sipped on to streaming hot drink, milky brown with almost zero water and lots of sugar. Just how I liked it.
God I love my Damphire Physique, no matter how much or whatever I eat I never get fat and stay in my perfect shape. One of the best part of my life if I'm being honest other than my unsatiable sexual stamina and godly powers.
Letting my thoughts fade-away to humming of water drops, I leaned back in the chair, letting the warmth of the mug seep into my palms as my eyes drifted toward the misted horizon. The pines of Forks stood silent wrapping me in peaceful comfort.
And then… I felt it, a gaze on me, not invasive like countless poparazzees that follows me flies but like a female lion admiring her possible king.
My gaze snapped toward the edge of the woods toward the clearing just behind the mansion, there, barely visible through the fog, stood a figure.
My vision zoomed past hundreds of trees and locked onto my stalker. She wasn't tall, but she didn't need to be. Every inch of her radiated energy and warmth. Short black hair styled in elegant chaos. Eyes like gold-stained honey. And that smirk mischievous and knowing.
Alice Cullen I recognised her immediately.
I hadn't sensed her approach but the moment I locked eyes with her, I felt the mate bond snap into place. No the correct word should be it came to live because it always there just dormant but now Alice close proximity finally made it active.
We both felt it and she smiled like she had been waiting.
I vanished from the chair. A rush of wind, a blur of trees, and I stood before her in less than a breath. Her eyes widened briefly less from fear, more from appreciation.
She took in my form. I was bare from the waist up, still glowing with residual warmth from the night. My psychic shield shimmered faintly along my skin. She didn't look away. I also scanned her, admiring her beauty.
She was a small and petite woman yet her body was curvaceous in all right place. Her breast while not large were perky, enough for my gigantic arms to hold them comfortably and abuse them to my desire. Her stomach was flat through her neted top and her waists was narrow enough for my fingers to completely wrap around it and yet her hips were wide giving her a perfect hourglass figure. Her lower body was covered in perfectly fitted jeans that hugged her tonned but famine thighs snuggly.
Once done admiring her cute and seductive frame I asked with a teasing grin. "Like what you see?"
She blinked, caught, and nodded without shame. "More than you know."
I laughed, a low, rich sound. Her presence was intoxicating. It wasn't just the mate bond pulling me toward her. It was the way she held herself, small but unshakable. Curious but confident.
"You knew, didn't you?" I asked. "About us."
She tilted her head. "I saw it years ago."
That made me pause. "Before we met?"
She nodded. "My visions showed me… glimpses. You. Me. Rosalie and others. We were together." A knowing smile danced on her lips. "Some visions were… detailed."
I raised an eyebrow. "I assume you mean—"
"Very intimate," she said, her voice smooth as silk but a small blush made into her face that made her look even cuter. I don't need to read her mind to know how intimate those visions were.
"And… " She hesitated " and I knew from the moment I saw them… that you were ours."
Ours… That word rang into my mind extra loud.
"And you're okay with that?" I asked softly. "With sharing? With there being… more than just you?"
Alice didn't hesitate. "I was never meant to have all of you. No one could. Not with someone so special like you." She stepped forward, boldly placing her hand on my bare chest. "Besides… judging by what happened to your first mate last night…"
Her golden eyes flicked to the glass doors of the house where Renée still lay, utterly spent.
"…one woman's definitely not enough to handle you."
I let out a surprised laugh. "Cheeky." And pinch her side stomach making her yelp cutely.
"I prefer direct." Alice said with a flushed face
After that she stood there silently for a moment, the rain a soft hum around us, our eyes locked.
"So…" she began, drawing a small phone from her pocket. "After your date with Rosalie are you free Sunday?"
I raised an eyebrow at that. Does Rosalie knew she was here? Of course she knows. Alice is too nice to do something like that without asking her that means she also fine with sharing like Alice.
"For you?" I reached out and brushed a damp strand of hair behind her ear. "Always."
She beamed. "Port Angeles, then. I know a few places."
"I'm sure you do." I took her phone and typed in my number. "Text me. I'll pick you up."
Alice turned gracefully giving me a look of tonned and bubbly ass. "It's a date, then."
She vanished before I could respond. I followed her retreating back, I sped my thoughts with psychic energy so I can prolonge the view of her bouncing ass as much as possible.
Once her figure vanished I turned back toward the mansion, and appeared on my reclining chair, the scent of coffee still curling beneath the mist, a small telekinetic barrier protecting it from rain.
I sat back on the chair but this time my thoughts didn't fade away under the sound of falling water but they flowed like them.
