CHAPTER 14: CHAPTER 14: LOSS OF APPETITE

Ariana Lynch not only stole the identity that should have belonged to her but also was the murderer of herself and her mother. How could she stand by and watch her live so comfortably and freely?

She wanted revenge, the anger in her eyes burned red, and she was gradually losing her sanity. She had no intention of listening to Grandpa Sinclair’s words, and at this moment, she only wanted to be alone in peace.

Grandpa Sinclair assumed she was throwing a little tantrum, glanced at his watch, and thought that Elias should be back by now.

However, when he turned around, he saw Elias Sinclair leaning against the doorframe like he was watching a play, as if the people and things here had nothing to do with him.

Behind Grandpa Sinclair was Quinn Lockwood, lying on the bed staring at the ceiling, with hollow eyes and gripping the bedsheet like she’d been struck by something.

Elias Sinclair frowned, what was this woman doing now? Didn’t she know his time was very precious?

"You brat, what are you standing there for? Get in here."

Grandpa Sinclair shouted him in with a tempered voice; how could he act like nothing happened when his own wife fainted? Was this still about the argument a few days ago?

Never mind, he understood his own grandson; nobody could force him to do what he didn’t want to do. Since he’d come home, it meant he still cared about Savannah, he was just too proud and didn’t know how to express it.

I’ll help them myself, Grandpa Sinclair thought as he pushed Elias Sinclair to the bedside of Quinn Lockwood, giving him a look before saying to both of them, "Since Elias is back, I won’t disturb you. Cherish your time together."

With that, he prepared to leave but reminded Elias as he left, "Take good care of Savannah, pay more attention to her."

Grandpa Sinclair had misunderstood for a long time, and Elias Sinclair didn’t want to explain further, especially since all this had been meticulously planned by this woman, and he didn’t want to fall into her trap and make things worse.

After Grandpa Sinclair left, Elias Sinclair lost his patience with Quinn Lockwood and directly asked, "What kind of trouble are you stirring up again?"

Quinn Lockwood didn’t respond; her mind was filled with the helplessness she and her mother felt when they were burned, and the smile of Ariana Lynch frozen on the screen.

Ha, this woman was increasingly boring; wasn’t her goal to use Grandpa to bring him back? Now that Grandpa was gone, did she still want to keep up this act in front of him?

"Savannah Lowell, is this amusing to you?"

Elias Sinclair looked down at Quinn Lockwood, suppressing his anger inside.

Quinn Lockwood was annoyed as she listened, not wanting to deal with anyone at the moment, so she simply covered her head with the quilt.

Childish!

Quinn Lockwood’s action completely enraged Elias Sinclair. He pulled the quilt off her head with force, his eyes filled with hostility, "My company is very busy; I don’t have time to waste with you. If you dare use Grandpa again, I guarantee you’ll regret it."

"Ah! Get out, get out!"

Quinn Lockwood completely lost her mind. She was already sad enough, so why should she endure others’ accusations? Memories from her past life surged again, and she vowed never to easily trust anyone again.

This woman was going crazy again, daring to yell at him. She said she wasn’t causing trouble, so why did she become furious after being exposed?

Elias Sinclair didn’t bother to respond and slammed the door as he left.

Once outside her room, Elias Sinclair’s face was as dark as it could be. Since when did she dare raise her voice at him? It must be because of Grandpa’s authority, and with Grandpa getting older, this woman really was unreasonable.

"Nanny Warren, come here."

Nanny Warren, the housekeeper responsible for their daily needs, had a bad premonition when she heard herself being called.

"Sir, what’s the matter?"

She walked over respectfully and glanced behind Elias Sinclair. That was the madam’s room, and seeing his dark expression, could it be related to her?

Oh dear, she didn’t want to take care of Savannah Lowell, but Murphy’s law proved itself; what you fear always comes to pass.

Elias Sinclair pointed to the door behind him, "From now on, take care of her and report everything to me. Remember, don’t let her disturb Grandpa."

"I understand, sir."

In her heart, Nanny Warren sighed quietly, recalling the times she’d cleaned Savannah Lowell’s room and was scolded harshly for slightly misplacing her cosmetics, then punished to pull weeds in the back garden under the hot sun for a week.

She felt sorry for her own age, having worked for The Sinclair Family for half her life without any errors, only to be utterly embarrassed by Savannah Lowell.

But as a servant of The Sinclair Family, loyalty was unquestionable; she wouldn’t mix her personal feelings into Mr. Sinclair’s orders.

After giving instructions, Elias Sinclair left The Sinclair Family for the company, where a pile of work awaited him.

When mealtime came, Nanny Warren took the meal to Quinn Lockwood’s room, only to find the door locked from inside. What should she do? Even though she had no strong feelings for Savannah Lowell, the master ordered care, so she couldn’t let anything go wrong.

"Madam, it’s time to eat."

Nanny Warren knocked on the door, trying again, but after several attempts, there was still no response from inside. Could something have happened?

"Madam, are you alright? Please open the door, open the door."

The urgent knocking disrupted Quinn Lockwood’s thoughts; she already had a headache, and now she was extremely irritated, "I won’t eat, I won’t eat, I won’t!"

Hearing this, Nanny Warren quickly left with the food before Quinn Lockwood came out and scolded her.

All she could do was wait for the master to return and take it from there.

That evening, as Elias Sinclair returned home and changed his shoes in the foyer, Nanny Warren rushed to report Quinn Lockwood’s situation. However, upon learning that Savannah Lowell hadn’t eaten all day, he calmly went into his study.

How she ate didn’t concern him; it wasn’t like he’d denied her food.

Quinn Lockwood had no recollection of how she fell asleep last night; she only remembered her mother’s smile, telling her to cherish this new chance at life and live well.

Thinking of her mother again brought tears to Quinn Lockwood’s eyes.

Quinn Lockwood had said she would come to see him this morning, but Cameron Grant waited for a long time without seeing her. Although this wasn’t the first time Savannah Lowell had stood him up, instinct told him the current Savannah Lowell wouldn’t do that.

After much deliberation, he dialed Quinn Lockwood’s phone, and to his surprise, it was turned off.

Could something be wrong? Cameron Grant’s brows furrowed tightly. The old Savannah Lowell never missed any news about Elias Sinclair and carried multiple power banks even when going out, so a dead phone was impossible.

He had to visit The Sinclair Family personally; after all, Savannah Lowell was his sister. Her arrogance and disregard aside, if something truly went wrong, he couldn’t just stand by.
