CHAPTER 15: CHAPTER 15: DAUGHTER HAS GROWN UP

Arriving at The Sinclair Family residence, Elias Sinclair was sitting in the living room having breakfast. He was quite surprised to see Cameron Grant, "Why are you here?" It was still early, and as far as he remembered, there were no major projects between Sinclair Group and The Lowell that required discussion. Besides, Cameron Grant never came to his house for business matters.

Could it be that he was here to see him? That didn’t seem like his style.

"Where’s Savannah? I called her cell, but it’s turned off. Where is she now?"

Cameron got straight to the point, looking around as he spoke, searching for Quinn Lockwood’s figure.

He came for Savannah Lowell? Elias Sinclair frowned, his deep eyes filled with confusion. Since when did he care so much about Savannah? From what he knew, their relationship wasn’t close enough for mutual concern.

Yet, recalling Cameron Grant’s illness a few days ago, the woman’s anxious expression didn’t seem all like an act. In any case, he could guarantee that Cameron Grant would absolutely not collude with Savannah Lowell.

When did their relationship improve?

"Your sister is in her room doing who knows what, and she hasn’t eaten all day."

After saying that, Elias Sinclair resumed his breakfast and even generously invited Cameron to join him.

"No need." Cameron Grant’s expression instantly turned rigid. He had long known that Elias Sinclair was arrogant and looked down on his dramatic sister Savannah Lowell.

But after all, she was still, in name, his woman, and he allowed her to mistreat herself.

"Is this how you treat her?"

"Savannah, open the door. It’s Cameron Grant. Are you alright, Savannah?"

Cameron called worriedly, knocking on the door and probing. If anything happened to Savannah, how would he explain it to Mr. and Mrs. Lowell?

Inside the room, Quinn Lockwood woke up at the sound outside. Was it Cameron Grant? Why was he here?

"Brother, is that you?" Quinn Lockwood asked cautiously through the door.

Actually, at that moment, she still didn’t want to talk to anyone. But Cameron Grant’s urgent concern reminded her of Ariana Lynch. She hadn’t avenged yet, how could she let herself fall into despair?

"It’s me. Savannah, are you okay? Your phone’s off, and I was really worried about you."

Finally getting a response, Cameron Grant sighed in relief. She could converse clearly, indicating her physical condition might not be an issue. Her weak voice suggested it was more of a mental problem.

"I’m fine. You don’t need to worry, brother."

Even though Quinn Lockwood said so, Cameron Grant was still uneasy. Judging by Elias Sinclair’s attitude, she wouldn’t receive good care staying here, so it might be better to take her home.

Downstairs, Elias Sinclair sneezed unexpectedly. Who was speaking ill of him?

Glancing upstairs, he saw Cameron Grant still waiting outside the door. Elias Sinclair sneered. Useless. How could Savannah Lowell come out just because of a few words from him?

No one was more familiar with Savannah Lowell’s ways than he was. She was waiting for his comfort, but sorry, that wasn’t going to happen.

"Mom and Dad are back from vacation. Do you want to go home for a meal?"

Cameron Grant suddenly remembered that his parents’ flight was today. They should be home by now. Family bonds, he still wished she could go home and visit their parents more often. After all, they often missed her.

Hearing this, Elias Sinclair found it even more amusing. The relationship between Savannah Lowell and her family wasn’t good, and Cameron Grant knew that.

Mom and Dad?

This was the second time Quinn Lockwood heard about Mr. and Mrs. Lowell’s status since her rebirth. She hadn’t actually met them yet. Previously, Savannah Lowell seemed to have offended them for Elias Sinclair, and she didn’t want to continue like this, nor could she.

"Alright."

After thinking it over, Quinn Lockwood opened the door and slowly walked out. But because she hadn’t eaten anything yesterday, her face was somewhat pale.

Seeing Quinn Lockwood, Cameron Grant was quite pleased. The current Savannah Lowell was indeed different from before. He had never thought there would be a day when Savannah would willingly go home and visit their parents.

After packing a few personal items, Quinn Lockwood followed Cameron Grant downstairs, making Elias Sinclair astonished.

"Elias, Savannah is going home with me to have a meal with our parents."

After the greeting, Cameron Grant left with Quinn Lockwood. Elias Sinclair was mildly shocked, but it was only for a moment.

Given her personality, even if she went back to The Lowell Family, it would certainly not be just about a meal. It would be about getting her father to invest in her new show or going back to file a complaint against him.

Quinn Lockwood followed Cameron Grant back to The Lowell Family. Mr. and Mrs. Lowell looked at their daughter in disbelief. It was the first time Quinn Lockwood had seen them, and she almost called them uncle and aunt out of embarrassment.

"Mom, Dad, Savannah heard you came back, so she came to see you." Cameron Grant broke the awkward atmosphere.

After not seeing their daughter for a long time, Mr. and Mrs. Lowell didn’t know how to start. The family sat at the dining table, but no one moved their chopsticks, as if the air had frozen.

Quinn Lockwood couldn’t help but lament. What a mess. How could Savannah Lowell have ruined a good family relationship like this? Things can’t continue this way.

Seeing the food on the table getting cold, Quinn Lockwood couldn’t help taking a bite, chewing slowly, "Mmm~ This is delicious, such a familiar taste." This was probably Savannah Lowell’s favorite dish before.

Unexpectedly, Savannah Lowell praised the taste of the family meal. Mr. and Mrs. Lowell exchanged a glance, finally smiling and started to eat.

During the meal, Quinn Lockwood served food to her parents not just once, bringing tears to their eyes as they marveled at how their daughter had finally grown up.

After the meal, Quinn Lockwood took the initiative to help clean up the dishes, leaving Mr. and Mrs. Lowell astonished. What had stimulated their daughter like this?

Cameron Grant followed her into the kitchen when he saw this, handing her a plate, "I’ll take you back later."

Since Savannah Lowell entered The Sinclair Family, she had never stayed overnight at The Lowell. He naturally didn’t expect anything different today. But his heart still felt uneasy, worried about Elias Sinclair’s attitude after she returned.

"Hmm?"

Quinn Lockwood looked at him strangely as she placed the dishes in the dishwasher, "I’m not going back tonight."

Having just somewhat eased the relationship with Mr. and Mrs. Lowell, Quinn Lockwood didn’t want to waste the opportunity. Previously, she wanted to move back but was thwarted by Elias Sinclair. If she went back now, who knew when she’d have another chance to return.
