CHAPTER 432: CHAPTER 432: CAMERON GRANT’S DISCOVERY

This metal box is what Quinn Lockwood plans to bury in the time capsule.

Aunt Willow remembers it was about two years ago during a summer. Since she was the only one at home, she invited Quinn Lockwood over to keep her company.

When Quinn Lockwood came to her house, she was holding this box, which was stuffed with bits and pieces. At the time, Aunt Willow found it odd why the girl was holding a metal box with a silly grin.

Quinn told Aunt Willow that each item inside represented a period of her memories. She planned to put this box into the time capsule, bury it under the big banyan tree at the entrance, and open it years later to take a look.

Unfortunately, she received a phone call afterward and left in a hurry, never to return.

"If you trust me, you can give the box to me, and I’ll pass it on to Savannah," Cameron Grant said with a charming curve at the corner of his mouth, his voice clear and melodious, tinged with expectancy.

He was too curious about Quinn Lockwood’s matter. It seemed that a mysterious power was controlling him, involuntarily urging him to explore this girl’s affairs.

"Alright, I’m counting on you. Meanwhile, help me tell that kid that I like her very much." Aunt Willow nodded and gently placed the box in Cameron Grant’s hand.

Cameron Grant bowed to Aunt Willow to bid farewell and left with the box.

Outside, Quinn Lockwood was nowhere to be seen. Even her car was gone.

Looks like she went home.

Sitting in the car, Cameron Grant’s overwhelming curiosity drove him to open the box. Inside were some trinkets beloved by girls and a leather journal.

This journal seemed very important. The cover was wrapped with a transparent protector, adorned with some colorful stickers, bearing sunny and inspirational phrases.

"Go Quinn Lockwood, today is a sunny day again, remember to make sure you’re one step closer to your dream!" Following this phrase, there was a small fist sketched with a ballpoint pen, appearing to cheer her on.

Cameron Grant couldn’t help but laugh out loud as he read other phrases and illustrations. She was indeed a cute girl, similar to his sister.

He had previously seen some similar motivational phrases on the walls of the room where Quinn lived, as well as on her scripts or favorite books, featuring small ballpoint pen sketches that looked very charming and feminine.

Previously, Savannah didn’t seem to like such cute things very much. Initially, when Cameron Grant saw those sticky notes in Quinn’s room, he thought Nina Sinclair wrote them out of boredom, but later while chatting, he learned that it was Quinn herself, gloriously claiming: calling out for herself.

Quinn Lockwood?

Cameron Grant’s gaze turned solemn as it passed over the name in the notebook.

He hadn’t heard that Savannah had a classmate like this.

And indeed, Savannah couldn’t possibly have such a classmate.

Though Cameron hadn’t often spoken with Savannah, the two studied at the same schools from childhood to college, even during further education; they were in the same school, the same major, and the same class.

Moreover, they were sent abroad to study before adulthood. Based on Quinn’s family circumstances, even with loans, it would be impossible to afford it.

If Cameron was initially curious about this matter, now it had turned into suspicion.

He glanced at his phone to check the time. Although he wanted to continue looking at other contents in the journal, Cameron had promised Sharon Shaw to help her at the studio later and didn’t continue reading.

It was almost closing time at work; if he didn’t hurry to the studio, Sharon, that little girl, would undoubtedly start nagging him again.

Quinn Lockwood returned home and went upstairs directly, without asking the servant about Elias Sinclair.

Initially, Nanny Warren was waiting at the door, intending to inform Quinn that the man hadn’t returned yet. But seeing her unusual mood and demeanor, she swallowed the words remained unsaid.

After returning to her room, Quinn filled a bathtub with cold water and soaked herself in it.

She needed to clear her mind. She couldn’t continue wallowing in sadness; she had to pull herself together.

The next day, Quinn Lockwood got out of bed a bit late because she’d caught a chill, but because she had just been discharged from the hospital and had rushed over to work overtime yesterday, the crew didn’t mind.

During a break in filming, Quinn went to the bathroom to wash her hands and saw Ariana Lynch with a phone, looking around furtively.

Quinn quickly withdrew her head and hid, crouching down and using the curtain to shield herself as she glanced towards Ariana.

After surveying the surroundings for the presence of others, she proceeded into the stairwell.

What is this person up to again?

Quinn’s face suddenly took on a solemn and grave expression, lightly following her.

"Jonathan Lockwood has been in the hospital these days and hasn’t returned. Don’t worry, his condition has worsened, and he won’t be discharged during this period, so don’t worry about it."

"Of course I’ll take advantage of this opportunity to seize control of The Lockwood Group. I’m not some indecisive and soft-hearted person. No matter how good Jonathan Lockwood is to me, it has nothing to do with me."

"I know he’ll eventually hand over The Lockwood Group to me, but I can’t wait anymore, okay? Am I supposed to wait until he dies to take over Lockwood Group? It would take another ten or twenty years, which I can’t afford to wait."

Ariana Lynch should be talking to someone over the phone.

Her tone was vicious and malevolent, but she kept her voice very low; Quinn had to press her ear against the fire door to hear the specific details.

She wished she could open the door instantly and slap Ariana Lynch a few times, no, she should just push her down the stairs.

Quinn really wanted to record everything Ariana had just said and let her father and the public see the snake-hearted nature of this seemingly elegant and graceful fake heiress.

The noise from beyond the door ceased, followed by the click-clack of moving high heels.

Feeling a bit flustered, Quinn quickly stood up and dashed to the restroom.

Just as she entered the restroom, she heard the staircase door opening, followed by the approaching sound of high heels.

Phew, that was close.

Quinn exhaled deeply. She wasn’t afraid of Ariana Lynch; what she feared was if Ariana knew she overheard the conversation, it would accelerate her manipulation of The Lockwood Group.

No way, she absolutely can’t allow her to ruin the business her father and grandfather worked hard to build.
