CHAPTER 46: CHAPTER 46: FILMING

Nina Sinclair stood on the second floor, watching Quinn Lockwood leave the Sinclair Family house and hearing what she said to her brother, almost jumping up in excitement.

She never thought Quinn Lockwood would leave the Sinclair Family on her own, truly the heavens were helping her.

Nina Sinclair quickly called Freya Caldwell to share the good news.

Meanwhile, on the other end, Freya Caldwell couldn’t contain her excitement upon hearing the news.

Could it be that the previous romance rumors about Quinn Lockwood and Dylan Quinn were true?

Freya Caldwell, the more she thought about it, the more confident she felt, so the next day, she appeared again downstairs at Elias Sinclair’s company, playing the same act as before, but this time with an even more extravagant bouquet instead of a breakfast of love.

The extravagance wasn’t due to the fact that Freya Caldwell brought daisies, but because she brought an enormous bouquet of 9,999 flowers, flanked by four bodyguards helping to lift them, creating a real spectacle.

Though it looked somewhat ridiculous, she didn’t care at all, thinking she was about to move into the Sinclair Family house.

"Elias, this is the bouquet I prepared just for you. Do you like it?"

Elias Sinclair had just gotten out of the car when Freya Caldwell blocked his path. He glanced at the flowers behind her, his expression instantly turning grim.

People around were watching, and Elias Sinclair grew increasingly irritated.

"I’m already married, I hope Miss Caldwell respects that."

Elias Sinclair declared to Freya Caldwell with a solemn gaze, then walked away briskly.

He really didn’t have the energy to entangle with such a young girl. Since he didn’t like her, he didn’t want her wasting time on him either.

Back at the Lowell Family, Quinn Lockwood was in particularly good spirits, arriving at the film set early.

Although Savannah Lowell had previously enjoyed acting, her performances had always been exaggerated, and she disliked taking others’ advice, so there was nothing outstanding about it.

This time, she played a scheming and manipulative female antagonist, undoubtedly a challenge for her.

Moreover, the lead actress of this drama was Ariana Lynch. She couldn’t let Ariana make fun of her acting skills, so she thought of arriving early to learn some lessons.

"Ready, Rain Scene, Scene Ten, Take One, action."

The clapperboard snapped, and the set officially entered filming.

First was Quinn Lockwood’s solo scene, a dialogue with the owner of a rouge and powder store, setting the stage for her scene with Ariana Lynch soon after.

"Oh, Miss, you have such good taste. The one in your hand is the best rouge in the city."

The shop owner, seeing Quinn Lockwood, immediately recommended the store’s rouge. It must be said, even this extra put on quite a performance.

"Is that so."

Quinn Lockwood picked it up to smell it. According to the script, her character was sophisticated and her action should have been done with disdain since she looked down on such small store items. Her visit here was premeditated.

But without experience and true practice, Quinn Lockwood’s actions were inevitably exaggerated.

Fortunately, Savannah Lowell had always been this way, so no one noticed anything unusual.

After the scene ended smoothly, it was time for her rival scene with Ariana Lynch.

Ariana Lynch leisurely entered the same rouge and powder store, and the two had a showdown, competing for the last rouge left in the store.

The original setup of the scene was for Ariana Lynch to win and take the rouge home since she was the main character and naturally had protagonist charm, not to be easily bullied.

"Well then, sorry about this."

After saying her final line, Ariana Lynch looked straight at Quinn Lockwood, reaching out to grab the rouge from her hand, meaning to say that whether in character or not, she wouldn’t let her take what was hers.

She was referring to Quinn Lockwood stealing her limelight and attention.

Seeing the smug look in Ariana Lynch’s eyes, a surge of hatred suddenly welled up in Quinn Lockwood’s heart, and she held the rouge tighter.

Ariana Lynch looked at her with widened eyes filled with confusion.

"Cut!"

At this point, the director immediately called for a stop, shouting at Quinn Lockwood, "Second lead, focus, okay?"

The director thought it was Quinn Lockwood spacing out, missing Ariana Lynch’s lines, which is why she froze in place.

Hearing this, Quinn Lockwood snapped back into character, but each time Ariana Lynch was about to grab the rouge from her hand, she would remember how in a past life, Ariana Lynch had framed her and taken everything away.

Unable to calm herself down, her emotions became intense.

"Cut! Take a break everyone."

After multiple continuous NGs, the director gradually lost patience, deciding to pause for a bit for adjustments.

Quinn Lockwood sighed, walking over to her trailer for some water and diving into her script for serious study.

She kept motivating herself to settle her emotions and not think about past life matters anymore.

She repeated encouraging herself while memorizing her lines.

Meanwhile, things were completely different on Ariana Lynch’s side. After filming ended, her assistant and manager surrounded her with tea and water.

"Ariana, you worked hard. Seriously, that Savannah Lowell, shooting a simple scene so many times over and over. It’s just a prop. If she wants it, she could tell the prop master, why hold on so tightly."

Ariana Lynch’s manager couldn’t help but complain.

"Yeah, if not for her, our Ariana would have been resting by now."

The assistant chimed in, though not quite clear on what had happened earlier, she was part of Ariana Lynch’s side, obviously opting to flatter without question.

Hearing this, a smirk appeared on Ariana Lynch’s lips as she glanced in Quinn Lockwood’s direction.

How interesting, her acting on stage was terrible, but off-stage, she’s acting so diligent, trying to gain sympathy from someone, huh.

With this thought, an unpleasant feeling surged within Ariana Lynch, thinking Quinn Lockwood was trying to show her up by stubbornly holding onto the prop earlier.

It seemed every time she saw her, she held a desire to win. How could a nobody actor with no background hope to outshine her, she thought.

Savannah Lowell, since you made the first move, don’t blame me for being ruthless. When it comes to tricks, you’re no match for me.

Ariana Lynch chuckled, stood up, and walked towards the director.

"Director, wasn’t today’s shooting supposed to end at 5? It’s already 2, and we haven’t finished the first scene. If we all wait too long, everyone’s condition will worsen. We shouldn’t let one person’s mistakes delay the whole crew. If it’s my fault, please, just say it."

Ariana Lynch tugged at the corners of her smiling mouth, looking innocently at the director.

"Oh, no, it’s definitely not your fault. Teacher Ariana performed so well, it’s just that we may need to shoot overtime today. Apologies for wasting your time."
