CHAPTER 464: CHAPTER 464: THE PLAN

Quinn Lockwood heard Ariana Lynch’s words, and her small face had already frozen over with a layer of ice, her hand at her side clenched tightly.

"Shut up, don’t think you can drive a wedge between my brother and me this way." Quinn gritted her teeth, forcing the words out almost against her will.

What angered her wasn’t just that Ariana was trying to drive a wedge between her and Cameron Grant; it was that Ariana had taken everything from her by any means necessary and was now shamelessly flaunting it in front of her.

"Heavens above, I’m just trying to give you a reminder." Ariana feigned surprise, retreating her chair slightly and blinking her eyes with feigned fear.

"After all, you are more familiar with Savannah than anyone else. Once I inherit the company, I’ll need to collaborate more with The Lowell. It’s better to have you as a competitor than Mr. Grant, isn’t it?" Ariana looked at Quinn, her eyes gradually filling with a cold glint.

She then stood up, lightly patted Quinn’s shoulder with her hand, and the curve of her lips brimmed with a chilly allure that sent shivers down one’s spine.

That’s right, she wanted Quinn to see how she would step on her, one step at a time.

What if she was the heir of The Lowell? She’s just an empty puppet anyway, unlike herself, who will soon grasp real power.

If she could strengthen The Lockwood Group and then annex The Lowell Group, then men as outstanding and reserved as Mr. Sinclair would also surely look favorably upon her...

Quinn almost lost control of her emotions the moment Ariana walked out of the dressing room.

Her hands scrambled frantically over the table looking for her phone, almost jogging into the changing room.

"Wade, Ariana Lynch is about to inherit The Lockwood Group. Didn’t I ask you to investigate? Why is there no information at all?" Quinn leaned against the door of the changing room, the hand holding her phone trembling slightly with tension.

She was afraid something had happened with Mr. Lockwood, or that Ariana had done something underhanded.

"I told you, young lady, Ariana’s recent activities have been very secretive. All I could find out were little details about where she went every day."

"Her daily itineraries have been sent to your email without missing anything, I’m not taking money for nothing!"

"Besides, you haven’t paid..." Wade mumbled almost under his breath in the end, standing downstairs of The Lockwood Group.

In the car across the street...

He hadn’t gone back to the newspaper much these days, leaving reporting review and editing all to his assistant. Whenever he had time, he’d be investigating matters concerning Ariana Lynch.

But unfortunately, there was almost no gain.

Ariana Lynch and Jonah Hansen seemed to have done an extremely covert and thorough job at covering up, no matter how many paparazzi or detectives Wade deployed, he couldn’t find out what those two were up to lately.

"Your information is too superficial, almost worthless." Quinn frowned, her expression growing more serious.

"Uncle Lockwood... how is he doing lately?"

At the mention of Mr. Lockwood, Wade couldn’t help but sigh: "Not too optimistic."

"Originally, his room was in the VIP ward, but a few days ago, Ariana Lynch moved Mr. Lockwood to the top floor’s private ward, and I can no longer check on him."

Though Quinn never explained much to him about these things, she didn’t hide anything either. From the tasks she had assigned, Wade could piece together a clear picture of the ongoing events.

Ariana Lynch wants to take advantage of Mr. Lockwood’s illness to gain control over The Lockwood Group.

There must be other unsavory motives too.

"Okay, I understand. Thank you very much." Suddenly, Quinn seemed to have the energy drained from her, her entire body weakly leaning against the door, and a chunk of her red lipstick being bitten off her lips.

Too fast, Ariana Lynch progressed unexpectedly fast!

She must arrange her next move.

But there didn’t seem to be any fast-paced plans she could execute for the moment...

Unless... unless she used her own identity and the fact that Quinn Lockwood isn’t dead to temporarily disrupt Ariana Lynch’s intentions.

Alright, I’ll do just that!

After hanging up the phone with Wade, Quinn contacted Ariana’s agent, Philip Chandler.

Philip had already entered Creative Arts Media Inc. under the guise of furthering his studies, and successfully infiltrated management. As soon as the matter on Ariana’s side was resolved, he could step in as art director at any time.

"Quinn Lockwood is still alive. You know what to do."

"I’ll send you more details about Quinn Lockwood’s habits and speaking style." Saying this over the phone, Quinn then hung up.

Even though she was alone in the changing room with the door shut, she couldn’t ensure nobody would come over, so she had already conveyed the most crucial content. The rest could be handled with messages.

That evening after the shoot, Philip Chandler informed Quinn that the task was completed.

Ariana Lynch was startled and ran straight out of her office, as if a ghost was chasing her.

Naturally, with Philip’s embellishment and hints, Jonah Hansen sent Ariana back to the psychiatric ward again.

"Philip, don’t leave. Wait until Jonah returns, then leave. Don’t bother with the production team!" Ariana lay on the hospital bed, her shoulders trembling incessantly.

She wouldn’t get out of bed. Just getting off felt like a cold hand was clutching her neck from behind, though the feeling wasn’t strong, Ariana could clearly feel the sinister breeze it brought.

"Don’t worry, Mr. Hansen went to make a payment, he’ll be back soon." Philip paused his lifted steps after hearing Ariana, his eyes masking an indescribable contempt and disdain.

"I’ll go rinse some fruits, just at the sink outside the door, I won’t leave this room."

As Philip’s voice fell, Ariana’s frantic heart slightly calmed down.

Her gaze followed Philip to the doorway, then the sound of rushing water emerged from there.

Ariana couldn’t see Philip’s entire back, only a corner of his clothing over the partition wall, but that was enough for her, who was engulfed in fear.

Maybe it was because there was someone in the room, and the continuous sound of water in her ears, Ariana moved slightly, sitting up from her bed.

Simultaneously, the phone Philip left on the table vibrated twice, and Ariana’s gaze instinctively fell on it.
