CHAPTER 57: CHAPTER 57: SPEAKING UP FOR HER

"Don’t jump to conclusions without any results." Elias Sinclair said in a deep voice, even he didn’t expect to say such a thing.

But there’s no reason for others to directly frame someone, especially when there’s no grievance or hatred.

Upon hearing this, Quinn Lockwood glanced at Elias Sinclair in surprise, not expecting him to speak up on his own.

Ariana Lynch paused for a moment, signaling to her assistant, who immediately knelt beside her and added fuel to the fire with a lamenting tone,

"Oh, Ariana, who did you offend to end up like this? How am I supposed to explain this to Mr. Lockwood?"

The assistant’s words indirectly pointed the blame at Quinn Lockwood, even dragging her father into it to confuse everyone.

Hearing this, Elias Sinclair’s expression was quite unpleasant. Indeed, there’s a lot of drama among women. Helplessly, he politely said, "Are you alright?"

Ariana Lynch secretly chuckled to herself and performed even more dramatically, clutching her stomach and wailing, "It hurts so much~"

Seeing this, Quinn Lockwood chuckled lightly, turned aside, and ignored it.

Because of Cameron Grant’s request, to look after Quinn Lockwood, Elias Sinclair was about to follow her, but unexpectedly, Ariana Lynch turned and deliberately bumped into him.

"Mr. Sinclair, could you help me? I’m so weak from the pain."

Ariana Lynch leaned weakly on Elias Sinclair, speaking softly.

Doesn’t she have an assistant? Elias Sinclair frowned unhappily and casually called two people over, coldly saying, "You two take Miss Lynch over there."

Seeing her hope dashed, Ariana Lynch left reluctantly but angrily.

After dealing with Ariana Lynch’s side, Elias Sinclair saw Quinn Lockwood and Dylan Quinn discussing something and walked over.

"Mr. Sinclair." Dylan greeted Elias Sinclair politely, then looked at Quinn Lockwood in confusion. It was clear she was not looking for him, the answer was obvious.

Quinn Lockwood blinked as if she didn’t see it.

Elias Sinclair gave a slight nod to Dylan, who tactfully walked away.

Quinn Lockwood sighed silently in her heart. These people really aren’t loyal, leaving her to face such a dangerous person alone.

"Is there something you need, Mr. Sinclair? If not, please keep your distance from me to prevent me from making the headlines again." Quinn Lockwood addressed Elias Sinclair as ’Mr. Sinclair’ just like an outsider, deliberately keeping her distance from him.

After all, she had just repaired her relationship with the crew and didn’t want to return to the days of being slandered due to news involving him.

Hearing this, Elias Sinclair felt both angry and amused. He was only doing a friend a favor. Did she really think he wanted to see her?

"I’m just doing Cameron a favor." Elias Sinclair said dismissively.

"My brother?"

Quinn Lockwood looked at Elias Sinclair in confusion. Wasn’t he here to inspect the set? She always thought he was just there coincidentally.

"Cameron said you were in a bad mood last night and asked me to check on you while passing by the set. Are you upset?"

Elias Sinclair said nonchalantly, but seeing the leftover bread crumbs on the table earlier, it seemed she was doing just fine. Cameron wouldn’t need to worry anymore.

However, when did this woman learn to cook? He knew nothing about it when she used to report the slightest thing to him.

Quinn Lockwood suddenly understood why Elias Sinclair had spoken up for her earlier; it was all under her brother’s instructions. She didn’t need to feel embarrassed anymore.

"Now that you’ve seen everything, you can leave." Quinn Lockwood spoke again, coldly refusing. She really didn’t want any more connections with him.

Never had Elias Sinclair been treated like this, especially not by Quinn Lockwood. His mood instantly darkened, regretting agreeing to Cameron Grant’s request that morning.

This woman is unreasonable.

Thinking about it, Quinn Lockwood still felt she should respect others. Though she disliked him, he did help her, and she spoke to Elias Sinclair’s back softly,

"Thank you for earlier."

Elias Sinclair paused and stopped, saying in a low voice, "Don’t flatter yourself."

He then left, but when Quinn Lockwood thanked him, an unusual feeling flickered through his heart, something unprecedented.

Back at The Lowell Family, Cameron Grant learned from Elias Sinclair about what happened during the day and began to inquire with Quinn Lockwood.

"Savannah, is Ariana Lynch alright?" What he was concerned about was Quinn Lockwood; only if Ariana Lynch was fine could her innocence be proven.

"Still under observation, but she’s surely fine." Quinn Lockwood sneered. What could happen to Ariana Lynch? She was just pretending.

"Good to hear." Upon hearing this, Cameron Grant heaved a sigh of relief. He naturally believed in Quinn Lockwood.

"Brother, why did you think of letting Elias Sinclair check on me?" Quinn Lockwood suddenly recalled what Elias Sinclair had said, asking with some anger.

"Seeing you in a bad state yesterday got me worried. I couldn’t make it today due to a meeting, so I let Elias pass by. Are you upset?"

Cameron Grant asked Quinn Lockwood with confusion. Previously, this kind of opportunity was something she couldn’t get enough of, though he didn’t do it on purpose.

"No, just don’t do it again. I’m heading upstairs."

Quinn Lockwood said calmly, then hung her coat on the hook and turned upstairs to her room.

She didn’t mean to blame Cameron Grant, just that she really didn’t care about Elias Sinclair anymore, hoping they could understand.

Cameron Grant paused, then smiled, realizing she truly was different from before.

The next day, Quinn Lockwood arrived at the crew on time. Just getting off the car, someone came to greet her, making her very gratified. It seemed her previous efforts hadn’t been in vain.

Someone even offered her comfort, "Savannah, I was involved from start to finish yesterday. I believe you; Ariana’s stomach ache was definitely not because of your cake."

Her words moved Quinn Lockwood a lot, not just because she was willing to believe her, but also because she changed the previously harsh address to an intimate ’Savannah’.
