Rebirth of the Movie Queen: Mrs. Sinclair, Please Hug Me!
Chapter 58: Tastes Pretty Good
CHAPTER 58: CHAPTER 58: TASTES PRETTY GOOD
Upon hearing this, the surrounding people also came forward, expressing their willingness to trust Quinn Lockwood.
"We all believe in you!" Having never been treated like this before, Quinn Lockwood was so moved that her eyes almost welled up.
The people around her immediately panicked, thinking she was still upset about the grievances she suffered yesterday.
"Savannah, don’t be sad, it was all just a misunderstanding. I’m still waiting to eat your cooking again. If you stop because of what happened yesterday, we’d be the ones who are sad."
A female actress pouted as she spoke.
Quinn Lockwood was instantly amused, realizing they were all just foodies.
"I’ll bring some for you all tomorrow." Quinn Lockwood held back her tears of emotion and said with a smile, for the first time thinking the crew was endearing.
Actually, it wasn’t just that. At the same time, a few people walked up to Ariana Lynch to persuade her, "Ariana, we think Savannah wouldn’t poison you. We all ate what she made, and nothing happened to us. It’s all just a misunderstanding."
"Yeah, maybe I’m just not in good health. I was just greedy for Savannah’s cake and had a bite, then my stomach disagreed, leading to the misunderstanding."
Ariana Lynch smiled on the surface, but her heart didn’t agree.
Seeing Ariana being so understanding, the people around smiled and left.
As soon as they left, the smile on Ariana Lynch’s face disappeared, replaced by a sharp look.
Seeing Quinn Lockwood so popular now, she clenched her fists tightly, her eyes full of jealousy. Why does she get all the attention with just a few measly cakes without knowing anything?
Ariana Lynch didn’t know why she disliked Quinn Lockwood so much, but from the first time she saw her, she just didn’t have a good impression of her.
Looking into Quinn Lockwood’s eyes, she always felt that one day she would compete with her for something, as if reminding her that everything she has now is an illusion.
The next day, Quinn Lockwood indeed fulfilled her promise to her fellow crew members and brought the pastries she made.
These pastries were her way of rewarding them for their trust yesterday. She put a lot of effort into making each one, pouring her love into them, with each shaped like a cute animal.
Though slightly childish, they looked very heartwarming.
Upon arriving at the set, even before Quinn Lockwood could speak, everyone, seeing the layered boxes she carried, rushed over to grab them.
Quinn Lockwood shook her head helplessly. These guys, she hadn’t understood before, but now realized, they might just see her the same way. It seems you have to truly get to know someone before making a judgment.
While she chuckled and muttered this to herself, she unexpectedly spotted Elias Sinclair, who was sitting nearby, his head buried in the script.
Why was he here again?
Quinn Lockwood frowned, but upon reflection, he didn’t seem that annoying after all. Maybe it was the bad impression Savannah gave him before that made him disdain her.
Seeing that everyone around was relishing her pastries, even though she knew Elias Sinclair wouldn’t appreciate them, out of courtesy, she picked up a little bear pastry and walked over to him.
"Here."
Quinn Lockwood handed over the pastry.
Elias Sinclair looked up, momentarily surprised to see the bear-shaped pastry presented before him, then looked at Quinn Lockwood.
"I made this pastry. Want to try it?" Quinn Lockwood acted nonchalant, not particularly hopeful.
Elias Sinclair furrowed his brow, showing difficulty, wondering if what she made was even edible.
Seeing that Elias wasn’t keen, Quinn Lockwood didn’t want to force it, but just as she was about to leave, the pastry in her hand was quietly taken away.
She looked at Elias Sinclair in surprise, seeing him take a small bite, utterly disbelieving her eyes.
The pastry melted instantly in the mouth, its taste not bad. Elias Sinclair instinctively wanted to nod in approval, a habitual reaction.
Yet upon realizing it was made by Quinn Lockwood, he immediately restrained himself.
"Ahem, ahem." He awkwardly cleared his throat, then handed the pastry back to Quinn Lockwood, putting it back in her hand, and coldly resumed looking at the script as if nothing had happened.
Quinn Lockwood widened her eyes at the pastry in her hand, rolling her eyes dramatically at Elias, who had eaten it. Instantly disliking it, she tossed it into the trash bin.
Only one bite and he had to cough like that. Even if he didn’t like it, he didn’t have to make it so obvious.
After moving away from Elias Sinclair, Quinn Lockwood returned to her car and found that the pastries had all been snatched up, leaving just a few empty boxes.
With a smile, Quinn Lockwood proceeded to tidy up.
"Sigh. Seems I came too late."
Upon entering, Dylan Quinn’s manager sighed, looking at the empty boxes.
"What, you didn’t get any? Next time, I’ll bring more and sneak some to you," Quinn Lockwood joked, after all, they worked for the same company, she had to look after him.
"I don’t mind, but our Dylan sure has a taste for your food. He used to suffer from anorexia, which was a real headache. Now he loves your cooking, so you’ve solved a big problem for the company. I bet the board should thank you."
Dylan’s manager joked, though he felt a bit wistful when mentioning Dylan’s anorexia, having been quite worried for a while.
Fortunately, he now liked Quinn Lockwood’s cooking.
Hearing this, Quinn Lockwood was happy to be able to help others.
The Sinclair Group.
After dealing with some documents, Elias Sinclair got up to leave, but was accidentally stopped by Joyce Kramer.
"President Sinclair, where are you off to?" Recently Elias had been rushing off after handling files, and Joyce Kramer felt he was distracted.
"Going to the set."
Elias glanced at his watch, knowing that she might have started filming by now.
He didn’t know why he was frequenting the set more and more, telling himself it was just to ensure no project issues.
Joyce Kramer nodded thoughtfully. The company was currently invested in one drama, which was Savannah Lowell’s "Mist in the Rain."
"Did Miss Lowell cause any trouble on set?" Joyce Kramer frowned, after all, this was the company’s project, any problems with the lead role would directly affect corporate interests.
And given Savannah’s previously arrogant personality, who knows what she might do. She couldn’t help feeling worried.
"Don’t worry, her attitude’s really good."
Elias said honestly, and thinking about Quinn Lockwood, his eyes didn’t show the previous coldness and disdain. They returned to normal, though it was not easily noticeable.
Joyce Kramer was shocked, not just by the news of Quinn’s good attitude. It was also the first time Elias spoke so calmly about her in front of her, making her heart flutter.
