Rebirth Of The Noble Mage Behind The Scenes
Chapter 52 - 52 52 Identity
52: Chapter 52 Identity 52: Chapter 52 Identity “Let’s go, Anvis.”
Duke Carrot took the lead and walked towards the door, with Anvis and others following closely behind.
In the center of the square, several Guiding Mages dressed in Pamir Academy Magic Robes were already waiting at the landing point.
Behind them, dozens of newcomers in various outfits gathered together, waiting for the arrival of the Academy’s Floating Ship.
“Your Grace.”
Upon seeing Duke Carrot and his party arrive, the leading Seventh Rank Mage placed his left hand on his chest and bowed respectfully to the Duke.
Afterward, several Mages slightly adjusted their Magic Robes and performed a formal Mage’s salute to the Duke.
The first salute was the ritual of Pamir Academy’s greeters when facing the Duke.
The second salute represented the respect of a Low Rank Spellcaster towards a Ninth Rank power.
Duke Carrot also responded with a Mage’s salute to the greeters before he stepped aside, signaling Anvis to come forward.
“This is my child, Anvis.
I’ll trouble you to look after him on the way.”
Anvis stepped forward calmly and greeted the several Academy greeters.
The Mages nodded, and the lead Mage spoke.
“Please rest assured, Your Excellency.
Your offspring will receive the best treatment.”
Duke Carrot nodded and then turned his gaze to the group of newcomers behind the Academy greeters.
“Are these the new students for this year?”
Although Duke Carrot had completely concealed his aura at this time, these newcomers still felt nervous instinctively, not daring to let out a breath as if they were small animals targeted by a fierce tiger.
“Yes, the newcomers from the northern regions of Karlars Province are all here, totaling seventy-four.”
The leading Mage replied.
After taking a look, Duke Carrot nodded slightly.
“Not too bad!”
Just then, the gigantic Floating Ship in the sky had fully descended, hovering less than a meter from the ground.
A hatch about two meters high near the front of the ship’s side slowly rose.
“Goodbye, brother.”
Fiona quickly bid farewell to Anvis; any later would be too late.
Once the hatch was fully opened, a Mage led the newcomers to board in sequence.
The remaining Mages dispersed around, subtly protecting the newcomers in the center.
“Lord Anvis, please stand beside me.”
After everyone entered the cabin, the leading Mage gave a final salute to Duke Carrot and the others.
As Anvis walked to his side, the Mage’s Magic Wand paused slightly, and both of their figures blinked out of sight in an instant.
The Engraving Array on the ship’s body lit up faintly, and as the Floating Ship climbed higher in front of everyone’s eyes, it gradually shrank in size.
Eventually, it turned into a silver dot amid the clouds in the azure sky.
……
Inside the cabin, a Guiding Mage from the Academy stood in the middle of the silvery metallic corridor, staring seriously at the many newcomers gathered in front of him.
“Now, line up and proceed in order to me…”
As he said this, the Mage paused for a moment, then gestured with his hand to the other three Mages beside him.
“…and to them to collect your number plaques.
Upon receiving a number plaque, proceed to your room.”
“Your rooms are on the third level of the cabin, and there are stairs on both sides of the corridor for access.
The specific structure of the cabin, areas off-limits, and other information are all contained within the number plaques.
After receiving your number plaque, you can read it with your spiritual power.”
“Time is precious, and I will only repeat it once: the rules on board are simple—no loud noises, no making trouble!
Those who violate the rules will have their admission qualification immediately revoked!”
When he reached the last sentence, the Guide Mage’s tone grew slightly heavier.
The freshmen qualified to board the ship were no fools, and no unexpected incidents occurred.
The numerous freshmen formed several lines to receive their number plates from the four Guiding Mages.
Arriving in an unfamiliar environment, the newcomers were somewhat silent.
After receiving their number plates, they only exchanged glances with acquaintances before heading off with their plates to find their own rooms.
……
“This is your room, Duke Anvis.
If you have any additional needs, you can find me in the cabin at the end of the corridor.”
“Thank you for your kindness, leader.”
After the team leader Mage left, Anvis gazed out of the silvery porthole at the increasingly distant ground, his thoughts a bit tangled for a moment.
There was some unease from leaving home so suddenly, and some anticipation of seeing those familiar scenes again before his eyes.
His cabin was located at the top of the ship, at the same level as many of the Fifth and Sixth Rank academy Guiding Mages.
The room was dozens of square meters in size, with luxurious and complete furnishings, including a separate meditation room and a private bathroom.
It was worlds away from the modest rooms of about ten-plus square meters that the ordinary freshmen had, which were simply furnished.
Although Pamir Academy claims all incoming freshmen are equal, there are always some who are more equal than others.
Once the Floating Ship rose into the clouds, Anvis left the porthole, adeptly opened the wardrobe in his cabin, and changed into a full set of Pamir Academy uniform.
The complete uniform includes a dark blue dress jacket, a pure white shirt, a cravat, dark brown leather boots, and a black/white short cape with the academy castle’s crest.
As a standardized Alchemy product, it could automatically adjust its size according to the wearer’s body and also has a certain resistance to Spell attacks.
Having reattached the dark silver chain to the buttonhole of his uniform, Anvis sat down at a silver desk matching the room’s style and took out the “Mercury Prophecy Book” from his ring.
Opening the silver Magic Book that had a surface like a mirror, he continued to study the deep magical knowledge recorded within.
Time was precious; he had to make the most of every minute and second.
……
“Ding——”
At dinnertime, a crisp Crystal bell rang.
Anvis closed his book, yawning while he drew a Pocket Watch from his uniform pocket to check the time.
“Seven fifty-eight?”
With a snap of his Pocket Watch cover closed, Anvis stood up and stretched, after loosening up his muscles, he left the room to head for the ship’s dining hall.
The main dining hall of the Floating Ship was located on the fourth deck, with three entrances and a very spacious area.
The dining environment was very elegant, with the interior decoration featuring a very retro Gloria style.
The white tables and chairs had chic streamlined decorations, and on each tabletop stood a white porcelain vase with pale blue roses, the tender petals still glistening with dewdrops.
Various peculiar delicacies were placed on large silver platters, arranged neatly according to the type and Attribute of their raw materials, for the students to freely take at will.
Every dish contained a trace amount of Magic Power.
Although it could not compare with the meals Anvis had at the castle, for most students from less noble origins, these dishes were considered delicacies.
Before arriving at Karlars City, the Floating Ship had already passed through three gathering points for freshmen.
Therefore, the dining hall was already filled with hundreds of people.
The many freshmen were vaguely divided into three circles.
On one side of the dining hall, a minority of new students were eating heartily, their plates piled high like small hills, oblivious to the glances of others.
Some freshmen from great families sat on the other side of the dining hall.
They gathered into small circles, eating while chatting elegantly, occasionally breaking into light laughter and praise.
The rest of the majority of newcomers sat in the central part of the hall.
Many of them were students from ordinary backgrounds and descendants of lesser Nobles.
Since everyone was a new student at Pamir at that time, the distancing effect of their differences in Identity quietly faded away, and they conversed with each other quite spiritedly.
