CHAPTER 582: CHAPTER 610: THE TROUBLES OF CHILDREN (PART 2)
"No means no." Junjun said, "I’m going to tell your parents about this. I can’t let you keep making mistakes."
"This isn’t a mistake! I just want to support him in his business venture. Even though there are problems now, given time, there will definitely be returns! I believe he is a very promising talent. I have faith in the day he succeeds." Tian Tian’s expression was resolutely firm.
"Returns my ass!" Junjun frowned and said, "I’ve never heard of a responsible man asking a woman to borrow money for his business. What is that, some freeloading gigolo? Too bad he’s also so ugly. Only a naive girl like you could fall for it! He’s not a good person, don’t be delusional!"
She can’t even distinguish if he’s human or a ghost. Just a few words from him and she’s fooled. It’s just that Tian Tian’s parents have protected her too well.
Upon hearing his words, Tian Tian bit her lip and stayed quiet. She wasn’t stupid, otherwise, she wouldn’t have gotten into a prestigious university. But is this person really that bad? She just couldn’t believe it!
Junjun continued, "We’ve grown up together; otherwise, I wouldn’t even say these things. Can you stop being so dumb? Are you tired of the good days? Do you really have to treat a scumbag well?"
Tian Tian angrily retorted, "You don’t understand. You don’t know his mind and spiritual world. You haven’t even met him once..."
"Have you met him?"
Tian Tian didn’t speak. She hadn’t met him either, only video chatted online.
"Tian Tian, I can’t help you with this. If you continue like this, things will go wrong. A person you’ve never even met asked you for three hundred thousand to do business? How shameless! You’re even considering taking loans to lend him the money?"
Tian Tian felt she wasn’t being deceived. The man she loved was just unable to soar because of his poor family background, while Junjun was biased simply because he didn’t understand him...
"Give me your wallet!" Junjun reached out his hand.
"No..."
"Hand it over!" Junjun shouted, his voice thundering, startling Tian Tian into a shiver.
Although she was a few months older than Junjun, she didn’t have his demeanor and was so intimidated that she could only comply.
"ID card, student ID, credit card, I’ll keep them all. Also, I want to check that person’s identity, and you can’t go online to contact him for the time being. Give me your phone."
"Junjun..."
"It’s settled." Junjun continued to hold out his hand.
Despite her reluctance, Tian Tian could only hand over her phone. Junjun took it and knocked on her forehead hard.
"You silly girl, do you want your family to worry endlessly about you?"
"No! That person is really good. He’s a man full of poetry. He’s just from a poor family, but he’s very smart..."
Junjun glared at her, "I think it’s full of bullshit! Poetry? Why would such a poetic person spend women’s money and ask for three hundred thousand in one go? Anyway, you’d better behave, don’t make me get rough with you!" With that, he left.
Furious, Tian Tian stomped her feet and angrily returned to the dormitory, only to find her laptop missing. She turned to ask her roommates, who said that Junjun instructed to lock it up.
"Tian Tian, we didn’t want to do this, but Junjun said if we give you the laptop, he won’t introduce us to any handsome guys."
"Yeah, he knows a lot of excellent guys."
Tian Tian said angrily, "You guys value beauty over friendship! Why do you listen to him and not me?"
"Aren’t you the same?"
"Exactly, you’ve always been like this. When that guy asks you for an online chat, you ignore us and even skip meals."
Tian Tian felt a headache from anger and pointed at them, "Fine, I won’t talk to you anymore. I’ll go to an internet cafe."
"No way!" A few girls said together, "He said you can’t go out today, please, just stay quiet for a day, don’t make it hard for us."
Depressed, Tian Tian collapsed on the bed. She couldn’t go anywhere. Her phone, wallet, and ID were all confiscated. What was this? Why did this younger brother, who had been so sensible since childhood, become so domineering now?
That uncle was so great, yet they didn’t like him. Should I really give up?
She recalled the uncle’s words. He loved her so much. She absolutely couldn’t give up!
By this time, Junjun had gone to the internet cafe, accompanied by Han Dong’s eldest son, Da Bao. The two of them sat in front of the computers, preparing to connect with Tian Tian’s online lover.
Junjun said, "How about it, can you find out who this guy is?"
"Don’t worry. I’ll get him to meet us today and see what he’s really about."
Junjun said, "Tian Tian said she’s met him. Said he looks handsome and... poetic."
Han Dabao waved his hand, "No way, who knows if it’s true? With today’s technology, maybe the guy’s an ugly freak on the other side of the computer. Watch me."
Han Dong was quite perfunctory when naming, calling the eldest Han Dabao and the second Han Erbao.
Back then, Han’s father disliked these names and insisted on giving them elegant names, but Han’s mother Tian Jinhua refused.
"I think they’re fine. People say humble names are easier to raise, the son likes them, and the daughter-in-law has no objection, so what are we worrying about?"
"What do you know! Names should be given properly, we came from a scholarly family. We can’t use such names."
Tian Jinhua rolled her eyes, couldn’t believe how someone doing business for so many years could still think of themselves as scholarly.
So, after changing to more refined names, the two kids started falling ill frequently, with coughs and fevers scaring the family into changing back. Coincidentally, the illnesses disappeared, so the names Da Bao and Er Bao were set in stone.
Da Bao didn’t like studying, much like his father, always interested in business. From his teens, he started small ventures, doubling his New Year’s money in half a year. He also learned stock trading and made a decent profit. And what’s even crazier, just like his father, he’s a big flirt, bringing home a little girlfriend when he was just a teenager.
Han Dong didn’t get mad and just let him be.
Tian Jinhua was very anxious, fearing her grandson might go astray, but Han Dong’s wife always had a cheerful smile.
"Hmm, with Han Dong watching, I’m not worried."
"You, as a mother, are really carefree."
In contrast, Er Bao was always diligent. Last year, he went to Europe to study physics. He was quite dissatisfied with his name and only used his English name.
Da Bao disapproved of Er Bao, always writing his Chinese name on the parcels he sent, causing Er Bao to call in the middle of the night to argue, "Now everyone in our building is calling me Er Bao! It’s so embarrassing!"
"Isn’t it good?"
"Good my ass! I don’t like it!"
"I don’t care whether you like it or not."
The two would argue fiercely, but even when Han Dong found out, he would only chuckle.
