CHAPTER 161: CHAPTER 31: A CHILD’S FATE DECIDED
Huff huff, yesterday was such a tragedy, I couldn’t catch the ride home, but today I finally crawled back. Thunderstorms really pack a punch, huh? A new month has begun, asking for a few face-saving votes here, so I can save on saliva and peace of mind for the upcoming May, then I can earnestly squat down. Thanks in advance everyone~

After staying at Kelly Women’s College for half a year, Su Ziceng always unconsciously compared Kelly Women’s College and Daquan University. This might just be a woman’s nature, making all sorts of comparisons: handbags, makeup, ex-boyfriends versus current ones, and even wanting to know exactly how many freckles are on the face.
Kelly Women’s College lacked the trendy hustle and bustle of Daquan University and had quite a few rigid, quirky rules, but there were also many leniencies. Compared with the indifferent ordinary universities, the report cards at Kelly Women’s College were only announced after the returning students arrived on campus.
Apart from the equestrian course she gave up on, Su Ziceng managed to pass all her courses without cheating, which was quite something. The sore thumb, however, was her "satisfactory" grade in the baking class.
A hardworking student like Yan Wuxu, needless to say, excelled in her report card, and this semester, she also smoothly received the "Wei Lei Award" from Kelly Women’s College. After becoming closer with Su Qingzhang, Yan Wuxu began to see herself as half a member of the Su Family, and shared many things with Su Ziceng that she hadn’t mentioned before. Turns out she got her entrance spot at Kelly through Teacher Pello’s recommendation.
"So you see, Teacher Pello is a good person," Yan Wuxu said this as she and Su Ziceng walked towards the new course "Mysticism" classroom. Several female students passing by overheard the name Pello and instinctively looked over with very obvious hostility.
"For the love of... Valentine’s Day is over, and people are still so sensitive," Su Ziceng felt lucky that she delivered her gifts the night before, although it was a bit driven by wine, and she almost forgot the whole process, but at least the gifts were delivered.
"Yesterday, Pello pretty much offended all the girls in school. I heard he returned hundreds of Valentine’s gifts, even the cake Wen Maixue personally baked," Su Ziceng didn’t see Yan Wuxu gossiping with others, but she always got some gossip from her.
"Sending him sweets would be less effective than sending sweet liquor," Su Ziceng opened the classroom door for the feng shui course, a new course with such a quirky entrance as a push-style wooden door. The classroom was narrow and long, and you had to change into disposable slippers upon entering.
"This is one of the graduation courses, so it must be taken seriously, and it’s a new course, so it’s quite full," Yan Wuxu also grabbed a pair of slippers and looked towards the classroom.
There is no snow outside today, the snow on the ground reflects the sunlight, making the teaching building brighter than usual. However, the "Mysticism Classroom" is gloomy. Both of them had a hard time adjusting their eyes to the dimness and saw rows of closely packed heads.
Blinds were completely drawn, with speckled light seeping through the gaps. There were no desks and no teaching equipment, just a long table that could accommodate four or five people standing side by side. On it, there were Astrology Cards, Crystal Balls, Eight Diagram Mirrors, Copper Coins, and a shiny Brass Turtle Shell.
"Why does it smell like a bathroom air freshener?" Su Ziceng glanced past what she dubbed the "feudal operating table" and saw a Brass Incense Burner lit in every corner of the classroom.
The entire classroom, holding a hundred or so people, was crammed into different corners, leaving some space open. The lighting was dim and the windows were all shut tightly, making it difficult to breathe.
"Can’t they stagger the classes? A hundred people crammed in like a tub of glue," Su Ziceng grumbled.
"They say the new arrival is a master with real skill, very hard to invite over. Only once a week for classes, and all the new students and quite a few returnees have chosen it," Yan Wuxu replied.
While they were talking, the door was pulled open, and a hunched figure walked in. Su Ziceng could only see the feet from her angle, and upon closer observation, noted a hole in the big toe area of the yellowed white socks.
Almost simultaneously, a foot odor permeated the room. Over a hundred anticipating young faces immediately flopped down. Even worse, some couldn’t help but open the blinds and pried open a gap by the window.
After all, Kelly Women’s School is Kelly Women’s School. All the girls adhere to a strong concept of following the rules and maintaining poise; no one rushed for the door.
