CHAPTER 263: CHAPTER 77: A FURIOUS KISS

By the time Hang Yishao realized what was happening, he was already standing there stiffly, basking in the admiration from all around him.

There were still faint red traces of the drink on his lips. At this moment, Hang Yishao was like a lost child, panicked and at a loss. He licked his lips and swallowed repeatedly, feeling more comfortable with his voice before sitting back down. "What I mean is, Uncle Su wouldn’t agree to it."

Having said this, Hang Yishao couldn’t help but take some pride in his quick reaction. He had found a decent excuse. Su Qingzhang only had one daughter, Su Ziceng; how could he let her run off abroad with a poor teacher of unknown background?

Hang Yishao’s excuse was somewhat far-fetched, but it nevertheless struck a chord with both Su Ziceng and Chang Chi. Su Qingzhang might tolerate Su Ziceng’s arrogance and her behaving like a spoiled rich kid, but her marriage had to be arranged by Su Qingzhang himself. And the outcome arranged by Su Qingzhang was Hang Yishao.

Afterwards, there was no further conversation, and all four people sat there contemplatively, drinking and enjoying the night view outside the window. Under the night sky of Mo City, one could see buildings being renovated, indicating major changes in the city in the coming years.

Chang Chi also lost her appetite. As long as Su Ziceng was still the young lady of the Su Family, she could only ever be a subordinate dependent on her whims. The happy moments with Hang Yishao would be as fleeting as a morning glory. For the first time ever, Chang Chi felt hate towards Su Ziceng, wishing that Su Ziceng would just die.

Hang Yishao stared at the transparent glass, at the profile of Su Ziceng’s face with the familiar traces of her childhood. Her eyelashes were long, like a butterfly poised to take flight, and her lips immersed in the drink were like plump red cherries.

But not far from Su Ziceng, there was another face that irked Hang Yishao. To his surprise, Pello had paid the bill in advance, using a corporate VISA card. It was the kind of card Hang Yishao had seen before, made of K-gold and identical to the one used by Master Jean-Peter.

Maybe, Su Qingzhang wouldn’t oppose Su Ziceng being with Pello. The thought intruded Hang Yishao’s mind. He watched as Pello pulled out the chairs for the two ladies, his every move precise as if measured with a ruler, including the stride he kept beside Su Ziceng, as harmonized as that of well-trained soldiers.

"I’ll give Xiao Chi and Ziceng a ride back, we all live in Zone 2, it’s on the way," Hang Yishao insisted, unwilling to back down and opened the sports car door, demonstrating that he was no less a gentleman.

Chang Chi didn’t give way, hurrying into the front passenger seat. Hang Yishao had no choice but to open the back seat.

"No need, I’m not used to squeezing into a car with others, and I’m heading back to the dormitory tonight," Su Ziceng glanced at Hang Yishao’s yellow Ferrari. With the design of the sports car being wider at the front and narrower at the back, one more person made it that much tighter.

The wind picked up, and as Hang Yishao opened the door, a gust blew in. His eyes bulged out, and he slammed the back door forcefully. He then rushed to the front seat and said coldly to Chang Chi, "Get out, I have something to discuss with Ziceng."

Chang Chi was frightened by his demeanor, seeing the fierce look in Hang Yishao’s eyes.

Su Ziceng was also stunned; she had just used Hang Yishao’s own words against him, repaying him for his earlier unpleasant remarks.

Feeling wronged, Chang Chi got out of the car. Hang Yishao turned around, pulled Su Ziceng into the car, while Pello stood aside, a brief flash of annoyance in his eyes, but he eventually restrained himself.

As the car drove away, Chang Chi stomped her feet in anger. Pello stopped a car behind her and opened the door for her. From beginning to end, Pello did not lose his temper. He just quietly watched the scene unfold, it seemed that the lesson Hang Family’s young master learned last time wasn’t enough.

"Slow down," Su Ziceng couldn’t help but call out as soon as the car started.

It had been a long time since she had driven fast. In the night, the car roared past like a mad thing, turning trees and street lamps outside the window into straight lines.

With a screeching "hiss", the tires grated against the pavement, and the car came to a stop. Su Ziceng looked around, they had reached halfway up the hill in Zone 2, but they were not heading towards the Su family home.

"What the hell is your problem?" Hang Yishao couldn’t contain his temper any longer. He had been pushed to the brink by Su Ziceng, by her ambiguous relationship with Pello and her disregard of him.
