CHAPTER 268: CHAPTER 268 ASKING MASON BENNETT FOR HELP

Returning to the Green Family, Bella Green went straight to her room. Having gotten up too early in the morning, she fell asleep quickly after lying down on the bed.

She had been asleep for less than an hour when Bella was awakened by a knock on the door.

Bleary-eyed, she got out of bed to open the door.

"Miss, the master and madam asked me to call you downstairs for lunch."

Bella frowned slightly at these words, her voice a bit hoarse from just waking up: "What time is it?"

"It’s already twelve thirty."

Bella felt momentarily bewildered. At the Green Family, normally only Daniel ate lunch at home. Samuel had to work, and Francesca only ate fruit at noon to maintain her figure.

Bella rubbed her hair and went straight downstairs.

As soon as she entered the living room, she saw Samuel greeting her with a smile.

"Bella, come over and eat. We made all your favorites today."

Bella glanced indifferently at the three people at the table and went over to sit down.

Bella picked up a bowl of rice and started eating. After just a couple of bites, she noticed that the atmosphere at the table seemed a bit off.

Francesca had an uneasy expression and a forced smile at the corners of her mouth.

Samuel was the same, the only one acting normally was Daniel, who was quietly eating with his head down.

Bella put down her chopsticks, looked at the two across from her, and spoke.

"What’s up?"

Samuel was momentarily stunned at her question, then gathered his words and asked.

"Bella, about that actor on the internet before..."

"That was me." Bella answered directly.

Samuel’s face took on a slightly unpleasant look at her response, but he kept smiling, trying to be patient as he looked at her.

"Bella, why didn’t you tell your parents about this? And, if you like acting, we have no intention of stopping you, but why did you say you were a boy? This..."

"I never said I was a boy; people misunderstood because I was playing a male role."

"This misunderstanding can’t continue. If people find out and it gets out, it will be embarrassing, won’t it?"

Upon hearing this, Bella’s eyes and lips darkened, and she looked at Samuel: "Embarrassing for the Green Family?"

Samuel paused, then looked troubled: "Bella, Dad knows saying this might hurt you, but what you did is indeed not quite appropriate."

"I’m full." Bella, losing interest, got up to leave, but Francesca, who had been silent, stopped her.

"Bella, wait, Mom has something to ask you. Um, are you in the same cast as Isla? You know, your uncle’s child, your cousin."

"Oh, there seems to be such a person," Bella turned and said with a cheerful smile.

"It seems something happened in the crew today, and now the kid’s mood is very unstable. I just wanted to ask, what happened?" Francesca let out an awkward laugh.

Speaking of this, Bella did not rush to leave.

"Are you sure you want me to tell you?"

Francesca’s smile froze, becoming somewhat awkward, and she couldn’t manage a laugh.

She naturally already knew what had happened with Ivy Willis.

"I just want to know if it has anything to do with you, Bella, that’s still your cousin after all."

"Do you think it has something to do with me?" Bella’s smile carried a hint of coldness.

Francesca hurriedly waved her hand: "Of course not, Mom’s just asking you. You know, something like this has a big impact on a girl. Fortunately, the news hasn’t come out yet. Can you please ask Mason to help settle this matter? If this kind of news gets out, your cousin’s life will be ruined!"
