CHAPTER 401: CHAPTER 401: THE SCARF DOMINATED THE SCREEN

Back at Fragrant Forest Riverside, the house was still in the state it was when the two left last night, with the cake box still on the coffee table.

Looking at the cake, Bella Green recalled how the two of them crazily ran to the civil affairs bureau last night, and couldn’t help but laugh.

Behind her, a pair of arms slipped under her armpits and landed on her waist, pulling her into that broad, warm embrace.

"What are you laughing at?"

"It’s nothing. I’ll tidy up a bit." Bella said, raising her hand to remove Mason Bennett’s hand.

She was just about to leave when the man pulled her back, spun her around, and she landed in Mason Bennett’s arms again.

Before she could say anything, the man’s kiss came swiftly.

With previous experience, Mason Bennett only kissed her briefly before letting her go, afraid that he wouldn’t be able to control himself and do something rash with just the two of them alone.

Bella Green’s face was flushed, breathing heavily, and then gave Mason Bennett an angry glare before turning her head to tidy up the mess on the coffee table.

It was already late after coming back from the Bennett Family’s house, and with the travel time, it was past eleven by the time everything was cleaned up.

Bella Green yawned, made herself a cup of coffee, and went upstairs.

Mason Bennett hadn’t been to work for two days, so there was quite a bit of work piled up, forcing him to work late into the night.

However, as soon as Bella Green entered the study, she noticed something was off about the atmosphere.

The man behind the desk had a sullen face, staring coldly and fiercely at the screen in front of him.

Bella Green walked over in confusion, placed the coffee aside, and was about to look at the screen.

Mason Bennett quickly pulled her into his arms and was about to shut down the computer.

Bella Green felt a bad premonition and quickly blocked his hand.

"Don’t turn it off."

She spoke while looking at the screen, paused for a moment, then couldn’t help but burst into laughter.

"You can still laugh?" Mason Bennett looked at her coldly.

Bella Green glanced at the screen full of angry scolding, unconcerned, and hooked Mason Bennett’s neck: "Why do you still have the habit of checking Weibo?"

Mason Bennett looked at her and snorted coldly. He wouldn’t admit that after seeing her play on Weibo before, he had Elliot Morris register an account for him.

After that, he would occasionally check her activities, though she didn’t often post there.

Except for the previous quarrel with Fiona Grantham, she hardly posted anything on Weibo.

Today, on a whim, he decided to check her Weibo, but unexpectedly, he found her account being heavily criticized.

Those unbearable insults made him want to drag the people on the other side of the computer out and crush them one by one.

Bella Green ignored him and went to look at the comments under her Weibo herself, unable to stop laughing.

Fiona Grantham was smart this time, not getting herself involved at all; those who were insulting her were netizens claiming to be her fans.

They accused her of deceiving them, said she wasn’t worthy of their affection, calling her disgusting, twisted, a cancer of the entertainment industry.

"Are you angry because of this?" Bella Green asked with a laugh.

Her carefree demeanor made Mason Bennett quite displeased, and he pinched her waist lightly.

Originally, he had planned to deal with these negative comments before she saw them, but she saw them anyway.

"Don’t worry, these eyesores will disappear tomorrow. Let’s get some sleep."

Bella Green shook her head, moving the mouse in her hand: "No, leave them."

Mason Bennett furrowed his brows, speaking unhappily: "They’re unsightly."

Bella Green found it amusing but patiently explained.

"Leave them, they’re useful."
