CHAPTER 519: CHAPTER 519: AS LONG AS I AM HERE, ANNA GREEN WILL NEVER HAVE HER DAY

"Please, go ahead, please go ahead," Samuel Gren immediately nodded and smiled obsequiously.

Seeing his demeanor, Mrs. Bennett was even more unimpressed.

"I heard that Bella was lost when she was a child, and it’s only recently that you’ve brought her back. It seems that you don’t have much affection for her. Since that’s the case, this old lady here is going to take her away. Since the Green Family doesn’t care about her, she is our Bennett Family’s daughter-in-law, and will eventually be part of our family. It wouldn’t hurt to go early. Bella, if you need anything, grandma will provide it for you. No need to pack anything, let’s go."

As Mrs. Bennett spoke, she patted Bella Green’s hand, poised to stand up.

These words scared Samuel Gren, who hastily blocked their path.

"Madam, what are you saying? Bella is my daughter, how could I not care about her? There must be some misunderstanding here."

This development left him a bit baffled.

He couldn’t understand why Mrs. Bennett was so angry.

But in an instant, recalling Francesca Willis’s earlier words, he partly figured it out, and angrily glared at Francesca Willis.

"Is it you who has been spouting nonsense again? Francesca Willis, what exactly are you trying to do?"

Francesca Willis’s recent actions had left him utterly disappointed, her bias extreme, and now she’s caused such a mess.

Francesca Willis looked at him, a hint of panic flashing in her eyes, then laughed it off.

"I haven’t said anything, and I don’t know why Mrs. Bennett has such a temper. Could it be that our Green Family’s ’temple’ is too small, and madam looks down on it?"

This shameless fabrication made the old lady burst out laughing but her anger grew even more.

"You’re right; I do look down on your Green Family. Bella, come with grandma."

Mrs. Bennett snorted and laughed, pulling Bella Green along, preparing to leave, giving Samuel Gren no chance to intervene.

Watching the two disappear through the door, Samuel Gren had exhausted his pleasantries, all in vain.

But he couldn’t stand idly by as Mrs. Bennett just took Bella away.

No matter that he couldn’t hold anyone back, he at least needed to understand what happened.

There was no truth to be gotten from Francesca Willis, so he raised his legs and chased after them.

Seeing Bella had already gotten into Mrs. Bennett’s car, he hurried over.

"Bella, don’t act impulsively; tell me what’s wrong and I’ll stand up for you, okay?"

These sincere words came after he figured out the misunderstandings with Bella.

Especially after the incident with Anna Green, his guilt towards Bella had deepened, desperately seeking ways to make amends. How could he just watch her leave?

Bella Green looked at his manner of clinging to the car door, silent for a moment, then smiled.

"Stand up for me? I can’t bear that. Tell Francesca Willis that as long as I’m here, Anna Green shall never see the light of day."

Though Bella Green was smiling, her tone was chillingly cold.

After speaking, she brushed Samuel Gren’s hand away, closing the car door.

Watching the car leave the Green Family estate, Samuel Gren stood there, his face exceedingly grim.

He then waved for a young maid to come over.

"Since Bella came back, tell me everything that’s happened, leaving nothing out. If you omit a single word, pack your things and get out immediately."

The young maid was startled; although Francesca Willis was the house mistress, Samuel Gren was indeed the family head.

Immediately, she recounted the prior conversation between Francesca Willis and Bella Green, word for word.

Listening to every word, Samuel Gren was nearly overwhelmed with anger, moments later stepping into the house with a sinister look on his face...
