CHAPTER 54: THE YOUNG PRINCE (1)

6 years ago, in the royal palace. (Kingdom of Avania).

A young prince with long green hair, green eyes, wearing royal garb with some nice silver pauldrons to go along with it. The red cape drapes behind him as he looks towards the end of the hallway.

(Shimada’s View.)

Father is figuring out how to go about the new changes that Queen Rayala proposed in the continent of Zerif. She said that those who fought against us should be enslaved and forced to do anything we ask.

But a lot of the kingdoms here disagree with that kind of view since we value freedom of everyone above all else. The only ones who get that taken away are prisoners who deserve it.

Those who can kill families without an issue, or the ones who murder traveling traders, and just awful people in general. A lot of the people that she claims should be enslaved are just previous soldiers and their families.

I don’t think they deserve it just because they fought for what they believe in, but that’s not for us to decide in those lands. Our lands we are free to make the decision ourselves.

Shimada is only 12 at this point in time, long before he was given permission to travel throughout the world. The war has only been over for a few years but the queen in Zerif still was trying to impose the same ideas.

"Shimada let’s go, we have a meeting to attend!" His Father calls out.

A meeting with the king of Theos, I never really liked him. He thinks he’s above everyone in the lands so it gets annoying real quick.

Shimada makes his way to the room where his father and king Kuroda Shuji of Theos awaits him. His father wanted him here to see what the meetings were like going forward so he’s prepared.

A man wearing all golden armor with different engravings throughout the armor, long blonde hair extending past his shoulders, blue eyes, a crown, and his dark black cloak drapes behind him.

So this was the king of Theos, the asshole that I despised so much. He was someone I didn’t want to see if I could avoid it at all costs no matter what.

"Are you going to offer me your daughter this time around King Kazuki?" King Kuroda asks with a smirk on his face.

I could see the anger in my father’s eyes when he asked him that question but it was best to be respectful here. That was something I had to learn when it came to being royalty.

Respecting the other kingdoms even if they didn’t do things the way we do.

"Haha, no I am not offering my daughter to you. We’re here to discuss Queen Rayala." King Kazuki responds with a laugh.

Everyone is talking about if we should go against Queen Rayala since she is not really the best fit. Her ideas for what she wants to do with her people aren’t the best, it goes against why we helped in the war to begin with.

The war against King Mika was to give the people better lives and to make it more peaceful amongst the continents. The continent of Mithriel is still pissed with our involvement with the war.

Zerif is starting to be ruled by Queens more than kings which isn’t the worst thing since they tend to have some good insight. Just Rayala wasn’t like the other queens of the kingdoms.

She doesn’t believe everyone should have freedom and that there should be prices to pay for it. Theos doesn’t care for the laws she wants to put into place since it doesn’t effect him.

As long as his kingdom is gaining from it in some way then it doesn’t mean a damn thing.

"What about the Queen? She’s not hurting anyone." King Kuroda says while scratching his face.

"I don’t think she’s going to keep peace throughout the lands, she wants everyone to do things her way." King Kazuki responds with more of a serious tone.

Everything I know is because of my father since he taught me all about the different kings and queens of the lands. It’s honestly kind of exhausting to take in all the damn time when I could just be out chasing girls.

I’ll need a princess at some point or another anyway, especially if I’m going to be a king one of these days. Unless father decides to give the crown to my sister instead of me which wouldn’t be the end of the world.

It would give me more freedom to explore the world and to meet the many beautiful women that hide amongst the lands.

"We’ll be fine, just keep doing what you do. Is this all you wanted me here for?" King Kuroda asks with a bit of an annoyed tone in his voice.

He’s not gaining anything today so of course he thinks it’s a waste of his time to be here today. I really hope I won’t ever have to go to his kingdom, that scumbag makes everything miserable.

King Kazuki gestures for Shimada to leave the room as Kuroda takes notice of this. It was time for them to have more of a serious conversation and it wasn’t one that Shimada was ready to hear yet.

Finally I am free from this awful conversation between a scumbag and my father. "Good luck." Shimada says before leaving the room.

Time to go find the beautiful maid who’s usually cleaning around the kitchen at this point in time. I’m lucky to have the women we have as maids!

Shimada runs down the hall and down the steps while searching for the maid before discovering that her body was laying on the ground before him.

But everything begins to disappear as the party can be seen making camp like usual, it has been two days since they left Helfri.

I can’t believe how much more we have to go before we are even close to reaching the kingdom of Theos but we’ll be there in no time I guess.
