Reborn After Betrayal: The Frail True Princess Decides to Give Up
Chapter 15 : Get Out of My Dormitory
Seeing Sophia change her tone, Celitia rose from the bed, walked to the bathroom door, and politely knocked with her bent index finger.
"What is it, Your Highness?"
Her voice was clear and ethereal, like a crystalline stream flowing through a distant snow-covered mountain.
However, this cold beauty did nothing to calm Sophia; instead, the fire in her chest burned even stronger.
Just wait until I'm dressed and come out of the bathroom, I'll make you pay!
Sophia thought secretly.
"Do you see the blue package on the table? Bring it to me!"
Celitia turned back and indeed saw the cloth package Sophia mentioned.
The package was half-open with clothes inside. It seemed Sophia had been rummaging through it before fleeing to the bathroom.
Celitia stood still: "Your Highness, aren't you forgetting something?"
"Forgetting what?"
Sophia was momentarily stunned, then suddenly realized.
She was so angry she saw black spots, her chest heaving rapidly. She took several deep breaths to barely calm herself down.
"Please, help me bring it over, thank you!"
Sophia was so enraged she even added a "thank you" on her own.
If there were such a thing as a favorability rating, Sophia's rating of Celitia would probably have dropped to -100 by now.
However, Celitia didn't mind.
In the past, she had cared too much about others' opinions, always living cautiously.
Those smiles gained through sacrifice and self-compromise—who knew if they concealed daggers?
Once they could extract no more, they were the quickest to turn against her.
Moreover, from the moment she recognized Sophia, Celitia understood that the prospect of getting along well with her roommate was likely hopeless.
She simply wanted to live this reborn life quietly, discreetly, and freely...
Why did things never go according to plan?
Celitia sighed inwardly, calmly walked to the table, picked up the package Sophia had indicated, returned to the bathroom door, and gently knocked again.
"I've brought it. Please open the door, Your Highness."
The wooden door before her opened a small crack, and a fair hand reached out, desperately grasping at the air.
...It actually looked somewhat cute.
The corner of Celitia's mouth imperceptibly lifted slightly.
Sophia dared not open the door too wide, fearing Celitia would see her, thus she didn't know where the package was.
After grabbing at air twice without success, she thought Celitia was deliberately teasing her and was on the verge of another volcanic eruption.
The next moment, something soft was placed in Sophia's palm, successfully halting the impending eruption.
A boneless soft hand covered the back of her hand, gently pressing her five fingers down.
"Hold it firmly. It's wet in the bathroom, be careful not to drop it."
That hand was cool, several degrees lower than the steamy air inside, with slightly rough fingertips that very lightly brushed against her skin.
As if stimulated by that coolness, Sophia's body trembled slightly. She awkwardly blushed and angrily clutched the package in her hand.
"Mind your own business—!!"
Pulling the package containing clothes through the door crack, Sophia slammed the door shut heavily again.
Don't think showing a little kindness at the end will make her forgive that person—!
So angry, so angry, so angry!
This was absolutely the most shameful humiliation in Sophia's life, worth remembering forever!!
Quickly dressing herself, Sophia stormed out of the bathroom with fury.
She flung the bathroom door against the wall, creating a loud "bang."
Celitia was bent over tidying things up and turned her head at the sound.
"Your Highness, please be quieter. Even if I don't mind, those next door or downstairs might have objections."
After bending for so long, suddenly straightening up made Celitia feel a bit dizzy, and she couldn't help rubbing her forehead.
"It's you?!" Sophia exclaimed in surprise.
Having been too panicked earlier, Sophia had fled to the bathroom without clearly seeing her counterpart. Now she finally had time to carefully examine this unexpected roommate.
The girl before her was thin and slender, excessively fragile-looking, as if a gust of wind could break her.
Looking at this delicate appearance, Sophia found it hard to imagine how this person could anger her to such a degree.
But upon seeing those misty purple-gray eyes, Sophia no longer found it strange.
She had a deep impression of those eyes.
Wasn't this the very girl from a few days ago? The one whom Sophia had kindly helped, only to be treated ungratefully!
Celitia Herbert!!
After returning home, Sophia had even specifically inquired about Celitia.
But because Celitia rarely went out, few people knew much about her.
Those who knew a little said she was in poor health, gentle and weak in character, and generally inconspicuous.
Sophia was half-convinced.
After all, she had seen with her own eyes that day that while Celitia might indeed be physically weak, her character was soft yet thorny, irritating Sophia so much that she had been in a bad mood all day.
Looking at her now... what gentleness and weakness? It was all an act to deliberately deceive people!
As new and old grievances surged in her heart, Sophia strode to Celitia, raised her chin, and glared at her angrily.
Sophia was actually about the same height as Celitia, but with her aura fully unleashed, she possessed a certain dignity and intimidation befitting a princess.
An ordinary person might have been frightened by Sophia.
But Celitia was no ordinary person.
She merely gave Sophia a faint glance and calmly said:
"Your Highness, it's getting late, and the dormitory is in such disarray. We should start cleaning up soon. If you need help... as long as Your Highness asks, as your roommate, I can help you tidy up."
To be honest, Celitia couldn't stand the room being in such a mess.
But these were all Sophia's personal belongings. Without her permission, Celitia didn't feel comfortable touching her things.
Even though they occupied public space... until Sophia cleaned up, Celitia could only choose to endure.
Sophia, however, misunderstood Celitia's meaning.
What did she mean by "as long as you ask"?
Did she mean Sophia had to humbly say "please"?
The humiliating memory from earlier flashed through her mind, and the fire in Sophia's chest instantly exploded:
"I never agreed to have anyone as my roommate! This is my dormitory—get out!!"
Throwing all noble decorum to the wind, Sophia grabbed Celitia's collar and dragged her toward the door.
"Your Highness—"
This body was genuinely frail, and despite countless techniques, Celitia couldn't use any of them now.
She tried to resist, attempting to pry Sophia's hand away, but even her arms were tightly pinned, making it impossible to struggle free.
Sheesh... how was this princess as strong as an ox? Not just her stepmother, even Olar couldn't compare.
"Get out—!!"
Sophia grabbed Celitia, dragging and pulling her to the dormitory door, opened it, and forcefully pushed her out.
