CHAPTER 258: 258: YOU ARE TOO IMPETUOUS

The sky had already grown dark.

The vast night enveloped the entire sky over Taiping Mountain.

Tonight was destined to be a restless night, and certainly a sleepless one.

The center of the Taiping Mountain Bandit Nest, a warehouse made of blue iron sheets, was Chuan Er’s base for stacking explosives. It was the most secretive place in the bandit nest and also the safest, most heavily guarded spot.

In the center of the warehouse, Devil King Li Yan sat calmly on a chair.

This time, Chuan Er was ruthless, fearing the Devil King would escape again. His hands were cuffed, and he was tied from top to bottom, ropes wrapped around his entire body, leaving only tiny gaps.

Clearly, this time Chuan Er had learned his lesson!

In the airtight prison, Li Yan was able to slip out silently and evade the ropes! What was beyond his capabilities?

Having had a prior experience as a warning, Chuan Er naturally couldn’t make the same mistake again!

Chuan Er held a cigarette between two fingers, took a deep drag, his eyes locked onto Li Yan, his voice cold and sharp, "Enjoying your half-day tour of Taiping Mountain, Devil King?"

This sentence almost squeezed through his teeth! He was now fuming with anger, almost ready to kill.

Even the best temper couldn’t withstand such provocation. Chuan Er finally lost his temper, pulling out a gun, pressing it to Li Yan’s head, furiously demanding, "Speak! Where did you hide Zhou Li?"

He certainly hadn’t forgotten that Zhou Li had escaped together with the Devil King. He was even more aware of Zhou Li’s severe injuries, knowing that without the Devil King’s help, Zhou Li could never have survived.

So, he could judge that there must be some agreement or understanding between the two of them!

Now, he had searched the entire mountain without finding any trace of Zhou Li. If Chuan Er wasn’t anxious, he might as well be an immortal.

Keep in mind, Zhou Li knew everything about them, and if he went down the mountain and contacted the special trainees, breaking this inside-and-outside setup!

All the plans would be for naught, and Chuan Er would be left for dead...

"You are too agitated!"

Li Yan articulated each word slowly, uttering words that could infuriate anyone to death, his eyes locked onto Chuan Er with a hint of mockery.

"You’re fucking asking to die!"

The more it was like this, the more agitated Chuan Er became, to the point of losing control.

"The explosive placement areas are damp, they’re likely already defunct, your efforts are futile."

Li Yan lazily lowered his eyelids, more of a declaration, and from the environmental perspective, this truly was the current situation.

Explosives are most afraid of water; if they get wet, they will completely lose effectiveness, so it made sense for him to presume that Chuan Er had no backup trick.
