CHAPTER 1460: A PARTNER FOR PARTNER

For Evolution, I believe they have to go through what Lucifer did... But that’s not something really easy to do, even less for two pregnant women... But I’ll see what I can do to help.

Well, it’s not too urgent either way, the two are fine and right now, sleeping.

The only ones that remained awake with me as I hunted were Lucifer and Partner, and my Undead, everyone else was simply too tired to continue.

I guess the two of them being also technically my Undead helped them not get tired at all, right?

Although Vampires and Dragons are well known for napping a lot, that weakness is completely taken away once they become Undead with endless stamina.

"Hmm? Oh, are you making food, master?"

I heard Partner’s voice approaching as I started cooking and cutting a lot of meat, using my Nightmaresaur claws to do it, it was fairly easy.

I also used those claws to drain the Nightmare Miasma out of the meat, so it wouldn’t be bitter, until it was shiny red.

"Yep, I’m making Kaiju Meat! I wanted to see how it tasted."

"Nice! I’m feeling hungry lately... Ah, right, can’t you cook this?"

She brought with her a giant sabretooth-like Nightmare Beast with purple and red fur; it was roughly fifteen meters big.

"Maybe I could, yeah, but I don’t know if... Well, let’s do it anyway. Can’t you skin it and drain the blood?"

"Yeah I already drank the blood~!"

Partner was able to drink the blood of Nightmare Beasts without any repercussions at all, and it seemed to give her more strength than other types of blood.

This probably meant she could even drink my own black blood, which is the new blood I started producing on my new, physical "living" body after my latest evolution.

Though, I would prefer if she didn’t risk it for now, this weird, miasma-like black blood has some void and nether elements, and I don’t want her to get intoxicated.

Technically, my blood is like the blood of an Outer God or something, it could probably corrupt life like miasma does and if let to do as it pleases, it would spread like a disease and destroy and eat everything.

Pretty dangerous, right? Good thing it obeys me and all, though it could possibly act like an intendent thing... which I dislike.

But I guess it comes with the perks of being freaking alive, and I love that, so I don’t really mind it too much.

"Like this, and this... Let me drain the Nightmare Miasma too, it’ll make the meat taste better." I ended up helping Partner skin the sabretooth, mostly because I felt bad. My cute pregnant vampire wife had to do it all, so I stepped in to do it for her.

"Oh yeah, their blood is really damn bitter compared to the fresh sweet blood of other creatures...!" She sat down over a log while dangling her cute legs around. "Hmm, do you have anything like that, master?"

"You could also call me Maria you know?" I sighed. "And yes, here dear."

I opened my inventory and took another Blood Elixir for her, which was a special concoction made using high quality monster blood... or the blood of gods or other beings we’ve killed, refined with a lot of other materials, and medicinal herbs, which brings all the nutrients she needs.

"Thank you~!"

Partner quickly grabbed the elixir but then kissed my lips as a thanks.

"Gulp, gulp, gulp..."

Seriously, she’s quite the handful, isn’t she?

As she ate, I quickly cut down the meat once skinned, separating the huge skeleton of the monster from the rest.

"Rise."

And then I raised the skeleton as a huge undead, with still some meat stuck in it.

"Roar!"

The giant sabretooth overflowed with Nether and Nightmare Miasma at the same time.

Undead created from Nightmare Beast Corpses were certainly much stronger than using Monster Corpses from Yggdrasil.

For the most part!

They were simply way too strong with the combined powers they gain as Undead...

"Partner, do you want it as a pet?"

"Oh? Oh wow, it’s a huge ass skeleton! Sure."

"Give him a name then."

"A name? Eeeh..."

Partner began thinking about it as she finished her bottle of blood elixir.

"Okay, you’re Tooth!" She said with a smile.

"T-Tooth? Well, alright." I sighed.

"Alright, it’s done!" I nodded. "Tooth, go greet your new master- Woah!"

However, as I was looking at the system, I didn’t realize he had changed.

His white bones turned black, the flesh stuck to them burned away into cinders and disappeared.

Surrounding his body there was a purple, pink, and black cloud of twisting Nightmare, Dream, and Phantasmal Energies.

And his empty eye sockets now glowed with bright red flames.

He also became around a third bigger than before!

"Oh wow, he got bigger and stronger! Nice... I’ve been wanting my own pet for a while now," Partner smiled as she looked at the big sabretooth tiger skeleton. "Let’s get along, Tooth!"

"Raaarrr!" Tooth roared back, lowering his head for Partner to pet, then she climbed over him and the two started running around the forest.

"Yeah! Go faster!" She celebrated.

I wonder, did I ever give her a Familiar before?

I think this is the first time...

Damn, I should’ve done this sooner!

She could also benefit from having a Spirit, but that’s not something easy to do.

I think her Skills can let her summon Blood Bats, but I don’t think those count, they’re more like living constructs of mana that don’t really have any mind or soul.

Well, as long as my Partner is happy, I’m happy too.
