Reborn As a Goat: Journey to the peak
Chapter 4: lots of mission
CHAPTER 4: LOTS OF MISSION
"Who are they? Why do they hate me so much?" Lin asked about the goats that had attacked him. He was a goat now. If he wanted to survive here, he had to know his enemy first and the reason they wanted to kill him.
Rokan stepped forward. His tone was gravelly, edged with impatience. "You," he rasped, "should already understand why they come for you. But since you ask so naïvely, listen up: you can’t keep blundering about like you did before. They’ll be back, and next time they won’t show mercy. I can buy you at least 10 to 15 days. Trust no one, hide in the shadows, and forge your strength in silence. This is the best I can do for you."
Lin watched as Rokan turned away and left. He didn’t say anything- just nodded his head. Kept repeating the words the goat had said to him, his god is missing, those yearlings will come after him again.
’No, I can’t waste time. I don’t have time. I have to become strong. I have to figure out how this system works, and I have to make full use of the system.’ Lin thought, determination hardening within him. He clenched his jaw, feeling a sense of urgency settle over him like a heavy cloak.
"I have to become strong. I have to get out of here." "Thinking this, he looked at the notification hovering before him.
[User, there are too many notifications that you haven’t checked. Do you want to check on them?]
He had seen this notification when the goat started talking, but he hadn’t had the chance to open it. What kind of notification did I receive? Lin wondered, his mind racing. "System, show me the notification."
"System, show me the notifications," Lin demanded.

"Too much information, system. Way too much," Lin groaned, annoyance leaking into every word. Just reading one mission’s breakdown had already eaten most of his patience. What is this, a Terms and Conditions update? Nobody reads that much fine print except bored lawyers and my dad after buying electronics.
"Show less information about the missions I’ve completed. Or is there an option to show only what’s necessary?" he asked, hoping the system would understand his request. Unfortunately, the system didn’t even bother to reply to him.
He sighed and looked at the notification before him. Still, he felt a spark of happiness just seeing the reward notification – especially the skill ’Blood Resilience’.
At least something good came out of all this, he thought, a faint smile tugging at his lips. Maybe this skill will make things easier from now on. I wonder what it actually does... He focused on the words, anticipation fluttering in his chest.
Without wasting time, he focused on the skill just like the system instructed. And in the next second, a new notification bar popped up before him.
─────────────[ SKILL NOTICE ]─────────────
NAME: Blood Resilience (Lv 1)
TYPE: Physical · Passive
TIER: Basic
DESCRIPTION Your body’s natural healing response is mildly enhanced. Minor cuts, scrapes, and bruises close faster, letting you remain active even in rough conditions.
SYSTEM NOTIFICATIONSkill acquired: Blood Resilience Lv 1 — Minor wounds heal 15% faster; bleeding from small injuries stops within minutes.
LIMITATIONS
Ineffective on deep cuts, fractures, internal damage, poison, disease, or magical harm.
Excessive simultaneous injuries can still cause exhaustion.
---------------------------------
Not very useful, still better than nothing
, Lin thought, his frustration simmering beneath the surface. It wasn’t as if he wasn’t heartbroken; after all, he had hoped for a skill that would let him revive from death, maybe something that would help him fly in the sky. I guess expecting something that powerful was too much, he mused, trying to push aside his disappointment.
After that, he checked the item he had received. A bandage – just a common item, nothing noteworthy. It may help reduce the risk of infection in a wound, but that’s all. So much for a miraculous recovery tool, he sighed silently.
He resumed checking the other notifications, determined not to let his hopes fall any lower. Maybe there’s something else here that’s actually useful, he told himself, forcing his focus back to the system’s messages.

----------------------------------------
Huh, a mission for the old man. Lin read the entire mission for the second time, curiously. A question popped up in his mind: What if I don’t complete this mission? He didn’t ask this question and saved it for later. For now, he needs to focus on the task at hand, and he focused on the next notification.
─────────────[ SYSTEM NOTICE ]─────────────

Lin stared at the objectives, his mouth twisting into a grimace. "Damn, all of this looks more impossible than a male goat peeping on a female goat while she takes a bath," he muttered, shaking his head in disbelief.
This would have been possible if only I weren’t hated, he thought bitterly. Everyone avoids me like the plague. Forget about making friends, they don’t even want to see my shadow. Lin’s chest tightened with frustration and confusion. Just what did I do to earn a reputation this bad?
He let out a sigh, feeling the weight of the mission settle over him. If only I could remember... Maybe then I’d know how to fix things. But right now, this just feels hopeless.
With a heavy heart, he told himself, I’ll deal with this later, and moved on to the next notification. There are too many missions to check and not enough time to dwell on just one.
─────────────[ SYSTEM NOTICE ]─────────────

Lin stared at the mission screen, eyes wide. "Mission: New Life?" he muttered under his breath, hardly believing what he was seeing. He scrolled down and read the objectives, his jaw dropping a little further with each line. "Twenty thousand bites of grass? Two hundred head-butts? Fifteen hundred jumps? Fifty thousand steps a day! And this is just what I have to complete in a single day? Hell nah, I’m good. I want to reject this shitty mission of yours."
[Y/Y]
"Wait a second, where is the rejection button?"
