CHAPTER 766: CHAPTER 766: WITH THE INVOLVED PARTIES

"Yes, Your Majesty," Riley responded and teleported to Princess Seraphina’s location for information about the location of her twin brother Sebastian and their noble faction leaders.

"They would be shocked with this abrupt meeting," Raymond chuckled.

"Indeed. But they are lucky to have this swift response," the Head Ministers of Defense replied.

[His Majesty prefers taking actions swiftly upon receiving word so I’m already used to this.] the Grand Knight Commander thought.

After all, diplomatic meetings and deals usually took weeks, months, or even years of effort and meetings before it manifested.

Yet, Seraphina’s success in getting a personal audience with Arabella led to all this into becoming a one-day activity.

Arabella did not expect Ferdinand to immediately want to settle all this today either. She knew from previous experience that dealings like this could take an awfully long time.

However, with Valeria’s resources and their magicians, they could make this kind of abrupt meeting possible and give swift responses.

Likewise, Ferdinand didn’t like unnecessarily prolonging things if they could solve it immediately. He was used to that kind of comfort which was why he found living as a human such a pain. But it did manage to occupy him for years, having to do what humans have to do in order to live.

While waiting for their guests, tea and refreshments were served on the table.

The ministers discussed how shocked their guests would be that the response for their proposal was on the same day and that they would be meeting with Emperor himself now instead of just Arabella as they formerly did.

After a few minutes, Riley returned with their guests from Crux.

[The Emperor is here as well!]

[Her Majesty is with His Majesty?!]

[I thought we would just speak with Her Majesty again. Why are there so many important people here?!]

’They all looked shocked indeed,’ Arabella noted as their guests were wide-eyed that they were already meeting not just with Arabella but also Ferdinand, Raymond, the Grand Knight Commander, and two ministers.

Everyone was here since the agreement could be dangerous, Ferdinand did not want Arabella to be the only one in it and wanted to be in the final meeting with Princess Seraphina and her faction as they finalize and close the deal.

Their guests gawked for a few seconds in shock and glanced at each other before they realized they needed to greet them.

"Greetings to His and Her Imperial Majesty," they said in unison.

They exchanged the usual pleasantries before Arabella began speaking.

"Princess Seraphina, as I have written in my letter, we have discussed and deliberated on your proposal and came to a favorable response," Arabella began.

"My deepest gratitudes, Your Majesty," Princess Seraphina was stopping holding back tears as she bowed her head low in gratitude.

"It is my pleasure. Since the time allotted for Crux to return the Prudencians is about to end, we are worried about the safety of our people so we want the agreement settled as soon as possible. Please allow me to introduce everyone here," Arabella introduced starting from Ferdinand to the ones with the lowest position in the room.

Alwin remained invisible so he was excluded.

Princess Seraphina and her companions gulped nervously as they realized how important the people in the room were. Still, their eyes shined with hope as they realized that reaching their goals might be nigh.

"Your Majesty, please allow me to introduce everyone as well," Princess Seraphina also introduced everyone who was on her side for this agreement.

[Amazing! Seraphina did it! We are meeting with the Emperor and Empress. And it was a favorable response! Does this mean Crux will finally change?! I was alarmed when Jacob suddenly appeared with another magician with him. I thought something happened to my sister.] Sebastian thought.

Arabella was relieved that Sebastian indeed truly cared about his sister and based on his thoughts, he was indeed into this with his sister.

[Samantha would be overwhelmed if she was alive. Her children grew up even more daring and bold than she was. If I hadn’t kept a close watch on them, I would not even know what they were up to. They have dared to choose a leap of faith beyond what Crux could ever offer. It seems their hard work is finally working. I hope this goes well so they can finally achieve their goals and live a bit more freely.] The Duke of Alba Household who were the twins’ grandparents thought.

From the Duke’s thoughts, Arabella verified that the Alba Household was indeed in support of the twin’s cause and of the anti-slavery faction.

[I see. Perhaps, this time, fate is on our side. I wish my wife lived long enough to see Crux change. If Valeria truly agrees, I wish I could finally see my children and grandchildren not be treated like traitors for treating their fellow men humanely.] The Marquess of another household in Crux thought. He was also indeed in support of their cause.

’I see. I’m they are all indeed allies,’ Arabella was relieved that Princess Seraphina was not being used.

{They are indeed Princess Seraphina’s allies who support their cause.} Arabella informed Ferdinand, Raymond, and Alwin who were waiting for her update before proceeding.

With the go signal, Raymond spoke next and did his job as Ferdinand’s assistant.

"Her Majesty had shared with us today the terms you wished for. We have listed our own terms as well. We have prepared a magic contract for this deal so before we proceed, we would like to confirm a few things. Likewise, you may add or omit terms before we finalize things," Raymond initiated a discussion to check if Seraphina, Benjamin, Alba Household, and Marquess’ household were all on the same page.

No matter their questions, the four were indeed together in this venture so Arabella who had listened to their thoughts once again gave the go signal that they could proceed further.

Princess Seraphina and her companions did not change their terms. They had indeed discussed and agreed about all of this before Princess Seraphina spoke with Arabella. Thus, Valeria’s terms remained the same as well.

"It seems we are all on the same page. If there are no changes, then we can proceed to the signing. However, please beware that this is a magic contract," Raymond finalized.
