Lu Yichen gently brought her onto the bed. "After being away for so many days, Qiao Bao, didn’t you miss me?"

Luo Qiao laughed, pretending otherwise as she teased, "I didn’t miss you."

Lu Yichen reached out to turn off the bedside lamp. "Didn’t miss me, huh? Well, let me check and see if you actually mean it."

Laughing and joking, the two rolled into the covers, spending a night entwined in passionate longing.

Early the next morning, the kids, knowing they were heading to their great-grandfather’s place today, started knocking on the door.

Lu Yichen told Luo Qiao to sleep a little longer and got up himself to take the kids out for a jog.

Gu Qianru hugged Yanyan tightly. "Alright, alright, our Yanyan is speaking the truth."

The kids gathered around Old Master Gu. The three younger ones chose creamy corn juice, Yueyue picked snow fungus tea, and Yanyan, seeing no one else chose ginger jujube tea, said, "I’ll take ginger jujube tea then. It’s good for the stomach."

Lu Yichen stayed indoors chatting with Master Gu alongside Luo Haotian.

Luo Qiao and Gu Qianru went to the kitchen to help Auntie Tang. The few of them laughed and chatted in the kitchen. Gu Qianru said with a smile, "Time really flies. Stone is ready to start his own family now."

Auntie Tang didn’t stop working as she replied, "That’s right. When Stone first arrived, he was so small. Now he’s a handsome young man. If the couple gets along well, who knows, there might even be a child by this time next year."
