Auntie Tang served him a small bowl of ginger sugar tea, "Have some to warm your stomach."

Guan Yuqi took it, "Thank you, Auntie Tang."

After chatting briefly, Luo Qiao and Wang Xiaoxin followed Auntie Tang to the kitchen to prepare lunch.

Perhaps because of her work, Guan Yuqi was able to chat with everyone and was quite liked by the kids.

Hearing Stone’s words, Guan Yuqi blushed even more.

The meal was prepared quickly: lotus root stewed ribs, yam and red date chicken stew, squirrel fish, braised prawns, spicy crab, braised lion’s head, stir-fried king mushrooms, sweet and sour chicken wings, tofu with preserved egg, cold lotus root salad, sausage, braised beef, fried peanuts, cucumber with wood ear fungus, and three-vegetable stir-fry.

The dishes were brought to the table, and they invited Guan Yuqi to sit.

Everyone sat together bustling with conversation, sharing a meal and getting a simple understanding of each other. They all had a good impression of Guan Yuqi.

They didn’t interrogate her about her family’s background, just chatted about interesting things and experiences at work.

But eventually, Gu Qianru did say, "Let’s find a time for both families to meet. If we all feel good about it, we can set things in motion and start preparing early."

Guan Yuqi didn’t oppose, just nodded with a smile, "Alright, Auntie, I’ll discuss it with my family when I go back."

After the meal, Guan Yuqi didn’t stay long and left, with Luo Qiao asking Stone to take her back in her car.

Once everything was cleaned up, everyone sat down to chat for a while, and seeing the old man tired, they let him go back to his room to rest.

Everyone else returned to their respective activities.

Gu Qianru and Luo Haotian settled the old man down and went back to the Luo Family Old Residence together.
