Because they knew they were going to sing later, the kids ate really fast.

After dinner, the women went to freshen up, and the men went to the kitchen to wash the dishes. Soon, everyone gathered in the living room.

The whole family mobilized, even Luo’s Elderly Couple were dragged to karaoke.

There was a karaoke place not far from home, just a ten-minute walk, so they didn’t drive and treated it as a post-dinner walk.

Upon arrival, they ordered a large room, drinks, and snacks. Luo Siyuan sang first and looked like he often came to such places, feeling very free.

Then, the kids in the family took turns enjoying themselves.

Finally, they picked a duet for the elderly couple, which both could sing, before everyone started choosing their own songs.

It was the elderly couple’s first time at such a place, they were a bit reserved at first.

When it was their turn to sing, they struggled with the first run but did much better the second time. The kids urged them to sing again.

Initially, Zhou Guifang refused to sing anymore, but Luo Daoren offered to accompany her for another round. With the kids’ encouragement, she found her rhythm and started to enjoy singing, even complimenting the sound system.

Luo Qiao observed this and remembered it, planning to have a sound system sent from the south so the elderly lady could sing at home.

Next, everyone took turns singing their selected songs. To everyone’s surprise, the eldest sister-in-law had an amazing voice; her rendition of "Wishing You Safety" was even better than the original, earning rounds of applause.

Luo Qiao and Lu Yichen sang "The Most Romantic Thing" together, performing with genuine emotion. Their kids were the first to clap, followed by cheers from everyone.

Gradually, everyone loosened up and had a great time.

It wasn’t until 10:30 PM that they reluctantly wrapped up and left.

Luo Qiao and the others returned to the Gu family that night, as their bedroom couldn’t accommodate everyone.

They arranged for the cousins to pick them up at 8:30 the next morning and then left with the kids.

By the time they got home, it was already past eleven. They quickly washed up and went to bed. Perhaps due to the romantic song, they were wrapped in each other’s arms for half the night. Shortly after falling asleep, the alarm rang.

Luo Qiao was too sleepy to open her eyes, so Lu Yichen carried her to the washroom. She brushed her teeth with her eyes closed, regaining some clarity afterward.

By the time she finished washing up and changed clothes, it was almost 7:50.

She drank the milk Lu Yichen brought, grabbed the boiled tea eggs, and the two of them drove towards the Luo Family.

They finished breakfast in the car, drank some warm water, and freshened up with some makeup before closing their eyes for some rest, as they hadn’t slept well the night before.

Lu Yichen tried to drive smoothly, as his wife was truly exhausted from last night.

As the old saying goes, having someone in court makes things easier. Moreover, the holiday period meant fewer patients, so they had a smooth process without an extra trip, and soon got the results.

After reviewing all the test results, Luo Qiao said, "Nothing major, just drink more water at home."

Even though they spent money, Luo Wensheng felt relieved and looked at Cai Yijia dotingly, "Finally at ease, I can go to work without worries."

Cai Yijia pouted, "The doctor already said there’s nothing wrong, but you insisted on scaring yourself, what to do?"

Luo Wensheng laughed, "Better safe than sorry, it’s good to be cautious."

Seeing there was nothing wrong, Luo Wensheng and the others directly booked train tickets for the evening.

Knowing they were busy at home, Luo’s Elderly Couple didn’t insist on keeping them, but they sent them off with lots of goodies — chocolates, milk candies, stationery for the kids, wool fabric, cigarettes and alcohol for the adults, and plenty of southern fruits and seafood.

Luo Xuyuan and Lu Yichen drove them to the train station, arranged for someone to send them onto the train early, settled them in, and then each returned home.

Because of the cousins’ visit, even the master had postponed their meeting, fortunately, they had notified the master in advance by phone.

The master initially asked them to come on the noon of the fifth day, saying there was no need for too many formalities.

Luo Qiao didn’t want to cause trouble, so she talked with the master for a long time before he relented, allowing them to visit on the sixth day instead.
