Reborn as a Transcendent
Book 3: Chapter 719: Humans Cannot Truly Understand One Another
On the ground. Actually… by now, Lucky’s entire body had sunk into the earth, leaving him unable to move.
Watching that terrifying human-shaped storm descend, he could only let out a desperate wail. Unfortunately, his cry of despair was immediately drowned out by a thunderous roar.
**Boom!**
The moment Yae-hime’s foot slammed down, the ground erupted and a violent tremor spread outward. In the next instant, a terrifying shockwave rippled out in expanding circles, surging farther and farther.
The battlefield was torn by raging winds, as if a natural disaster had descended upon them. At once, the stronger fighters again stepped forward as shields for the crowd. This time, however, they struggled bitterly to withstand the force.
If the previous aftershocks had been like a drizzle, then now they were a storm unleashed! The viewers watching the livestream were nearly dumbstruck as one.
Such a cataclysmic strike, yet it came from a human hand, how could anyone believe it? Some even suspected it might be computer-generated effects, a trick to scam money. But when they recalled the reputation of the consortium behind it, they had no choice but to dismiss the thought.
“Oh my Yahweh… no, wait, I don’t even follow a religion!” Vera gasped at the broadcast screen. She had been too busy until now to watch the fight. Yet less than ten seconds in, Yae-hime’s terrifying power had completely silenced her.
Seeing this devastating strike, her heart trembled uncontrollably. Just what kind of monster had she been trying to oppose all this time?
“M-maybe I’d better not trouble her again.” Vera’s fire for revenge was instantly extinguished. Little did she know that a place in Yae-hime’s City of Chaos had already been reserved for her. Whether sooner or later, being captured and made to work was inevitable.
* **Roc City, Abilities Management Bureau.**
“Monster…” Ronald’s body shook violently, barely managing to utter the word.
* **Yanjing, Mo family’s Mansion.**
“Hmph… hmph, this level of talent is only a step beneath my own!” Lisa muttered, her eye twitching, face faintly red.
At this moment, all the magnates following the battle wore expressions of awe, their hearts shaken to the core. An eighteen-year-old grandmaster whose power reached such terrifying heights, this was no blessing to them. It was a threat. A tremendous threat that had to be destroyed swiftly. Otherwise, once the youth fully matured, where would they find a foothold in this world?
Yae-hime could never have imagined that unleashing her full strength merely to intimidate those who sought trouble… Would instead earn her the hostility of countless powerful figures.
* **America, Dorado.**
Mira suddenly received a message that snapped her out of her shock.
“As expected, you’ve reached SS-rank. From now on, Princess, life won’t be so easy for you.” Mira’s lips curved into a faint smile. A flame blazed in her chest, and a spark of battle-lust flashed in her eyes.
* **Back at the battlefield.**
The disaster-like strike finally subsided, its aftershocks completely dispersed.
The sea breeze swept away the clouds of dust, revealing a vast black conical crater. At its center stood a stunning figure. Who else could it be but Yae-hime, beautiful beyond compare, a vision of celestial grace descended upon the mortal world?
At her feet, Lucky lay in a pool of blood, eyes rolled back, his body broken and mangled. Whether he still lived was unclear.
Silence reigned over the scene. No one dared to speak. Not even the slightest movement was made. They feared even the smallest noise might provoke a reaction from that monster.
“This square doesn’t have a name yet, does it?” Suddenly, Yae-hime withdrew her slender leg from Lucky’s body, turned, and slowly lifted her gaze toward the onlookers, asking in a detached tone.
Though some distance separated them, the audience heard her words with startling clarity.
She walked forward step by step, awaiting their answer. Yet no one at the scene uttered a word. It wasn’t that they were afraid to reply. They truly didn’t know! A temporary plaza hastily constructed, what need was there for a name?
“Don’t know? Very well.” Yae-hime stepped out of the crater, her aura extending into countless tendrils that suddenly lashed at the ground.
Fragments of earth and soil burst into the air.
Her abrupt action left everyone staring in bewilderment. After a few seconds, Yae-hime finally stopped. Her aura spread outward again, scattering the dust.
“From now on, this place shall be called Yae-hime Square.” She glanced at the crowd, speaking casually. As soon as her words fell, the audience saw a few large characters appear on the ground.
**Yae-hime**
In an instant, someone realized that this was Princess’ true name. She was declaring her real name to the world!
With tonight’s earth-shaking battle, she engraved her name upon this square, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all. At once, the name “Yae-hime” began to echo across the globe.
From this moment onward, Yaeger’s female identity finally broke free from the title of Princess…
“Princess!” Just then, Pixie and Mylene came running over, the former happily calling out her *name*. It seemed that shedding that title was still too soon.
“I made you worry.” Yae-hime smiled.
“That was truly a spectacular fight. I was so excited, I nearly got wet—ah, I mean, I was so fired up just watching!” Pixie paused mid-sentence, awkwardly changing her words.
“Sis, you were so amazing!” Mylene threw herself onto Yae-hime’s arm, speaking with bubbling excitement.
Beside her, Pixie’s heart was full of envy. She, too, wanted to cling to Yae-hime’ other arm. But she feared Yae-hime might not like it.
‘Ahh, if only I were Mylene!’ For now, she could only watch with envy, drooling inwardly.
Yae-hime chatted with them briefly before turning her gaze toward the assembled powerhouses. From earlier, she had already sensed a few hostile auras lingering among them.
“Does anyone else wish to challenge me?” Yae-hime’s voice was cold. Her words plunged the square into dead silence.
At this point, who would be stupid enough to provoke a monster like her? Were they so eager to die?
Grandmaster Kim from Korea clenched his fists. His face remained calm, but inside he seethed with humiliation and fury. His disciple had been slaughtered by this monster, yet he had no power to seek justice. The frustration was unbearable.
Several other experts felt the same suffocating anger. She had openly provoked them, and yet none dared to step forward. Their chests burned with shame.
Of course, they could force themselves into battle. But that would only mean courting humiliation. Even Lucky, who had broken through temporarily, had been crushed. Who else among them qualified to fight her?
None. Not a single one.
What made them despair even more was that this monster’s aura still surged with terrifying strength! Trying to take advantage now was nothing but a fool’s dream.
Grandmaster Ota stared at Yae-hime, the shock on his face still lingering. An eighteen-year-old grandmaster, emerging like a blazing star, the impact on the martial world would be unprecedented.
‘Good thing I hedged my bet. Otherwise, I’d have taken a huge loss tonight!’ Suddenly recalling his wager, he felt a secret flicker of joy.
Knowing she had already cowed them, Yae-hime withdrew her gaze and turned to her two companions. “It’s getting late. Let’s go back. Since my transport was destroyed on the way, I’ll trouble you for a ride on your ship.”
At her words, Pixie immediately slipped her arm around Yae-hime’s. “Of course, Princess! Mylene, let’s go home!”
Mylene rolled her eyes, inwardly marveling at her companion’s ability to seize every opportunity.
Only after they left the square did the rest of the crowd finally exhale in relief. What followed was a chaos of emotions, some felt empty, some thrilled, others seethed with rage.
The plaza buzzed with an uproarious mix of reactions.
