Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito
Chapter 1833: 31: Jia Yan—Is He Still on This Planet?
Chapter 1833: Chapter 31: Jia Yan—Is He Still on This Planet?
A group of Jia Yan’s subordinates, are provoking the Stellar Level Alliance, much like the way a fox borrows the might of a tiger, though they are careful not to actually cause a war.
At the same time, they’re mocking an old stellar creature who is nestled in a corner, scavenging things others find unappealing yet useful.
“Some people are just foolish, thinking they can find a way to extend their lifespan. Little do they know, in such a situation, following a good leader is more likely the key. But those old immortals probably can’t figure that out, their brains have long been rigid.”
“You.”
That old creature, from afar, uttered an extremely hateful sound.
However, even being ridiculed like this, the plan of the stellar-level powerhouse wouldn’t easily change, so he merely moved further away and continued to clean up on the battlefield.
“Get out, this is the area our Stellar Level Alliance is investigating.”
Suddenly, a stellar creature from the alliance, coldly addressed the old being who had just arrived at a corner no one had visited, and was about to explore a half-demolished palace, attempting to drive him away.
“According to the alliance agreement, I have the right to explore here. The first wave of items should be mine.” The old creature turned back and said calmly to the arriving stellar powerhouse.
“What alliance agreement, you’re no longer a member of Jia Yan’s squad. Letting you pick up garbage is already giving you face. If you can’t recognize this, we’ll act against you.”
The stellar powerhouse sneered coldly, crushed by the commands of everyone in Jia Yan’s squad, he was already displeased. Speaking against someone who isn’t even a member of Jia Yan’s squad anymore would only leave his mood more sour.
But just as the old creature’s face turned manic, a cold voice sounded behind him.
“Who said he is no longer part of our squad? Lord Jia Yan stated that until we leave this planet, he is still one of our members. Anyone daring to act against him is acting against us. Try it if you can.”
This was a cold female voice.
The old creature turned and saw it was Luo Longsi, the female divine spirit who was formerly in a different camp.
“You… hmph, consider yourself lucky, old fellow.”
The stellar powerhouse, seeing Jia Yan’s subordinates had spoken, immediately changed expression, dared not say anymore, and left in haste, leaving behind a harsh comment.
“Senior, you should continue. Actually, Lord Jia Yan really understands you, don’t take it to heart.” Luo Longsi said these words, then left the original spot.
“Sigh.”
The old creature shook his head.
He was moved, but this emotion wasn’t enough to make him abandon hope, join Jia Yan’s squad, and fight for Jia Yan until the little life left died out.
Another day passed.
At this moment, the pressure on Jia Yan’s mind was growing exceedingly immense.
He finally gave up wanting to return to Fairy City to see Little Mei Ping’s thoughts, and at this moment, fully focused.
“It’s time to leave; otherwise, the source of that immense pressure will likely arrive.”
Jia Yan looked to the sky, constant pressure weighing heavily on his heart.
And his subordinates, even the large group of Stellar Level Alliance members, felt a hint of the unusual.
After all, this source of pressure was not targeting them but Jia Yan, being an evolutionary creature, realized this with his heightened senses compared to ordinary creatures. He had long felt the presence of the newcomer, whereas other stellar powerhouses could only sense it now.
“What is this pressure? Could it be a middle-order powerhouse coming?”
“No, the terrifying nature of this pressure is more powerful than any middle-order stellar lord I’ve seen before. It must be an extraordinary middle-order stellar existence.”
“I think, might it be that lord rumored to have come to capture Jia Yan some time ago…”
“Now that you mention it, I feel it’s very possible. Right, perhaps those divine spirits contacted this powerhouse, leading them to hide, though they certainly hadn’t expected we would join Jia Yan and completely annihilate them so quickly.”
“No, in their view, we are companions with Jia Yan. No need to meddle, let’s leave quickly.”
On the Alliance’s side, every stellar-level powerhouse felt the terrible power rapidly approaching, their expressions changed wildly, ignoring the remaining spoils of war, they scattered like birds and beasts.
They understood the owner of this power was heading for Jia Yan, and certainly did not wish to be perceived as Jia Yan’s companions, so they promptly departed.
“Quickly, return to Lord’s side, retrieve your aircrafts, leave behind those you can’t get in time.”
On the other side, Jia Yan’s squad members finally realized what kind of terrifying entity was pursuing them due to Jia Yan. Despite bitter smiles in their hearts, they did not panic, efficiently taking action.
To them, since they had decided to pledge allegiance, there was no room for regret.
Only the elderly stellar-level creature, upon sensing the energy above, sighed longingly, and then, near the battlefield, surprisingly launched a stellar-level powerhouse’s giant battleship.
The battleship’s engines blazed rapidly, and in an instant, soared in the opposite direction of that powerhouse’s presence, disappearing from view.
“Damn, that old guy really knows his stuff. Old ginger is spicier, he was prepared for this long ago.”
Members of the Jia Yan Squad were all dumbfounded. They had no idea when that old fellow had set up such a contingency.
Even Jia Yan in subspace was slightly amazed. Among the cosmic strongman creatures, the longer they lived, the less their surface strength could be gauged accurately. Even Jia Yan thought that before he acquired a large amount of the Crystal of God and the Power of Faith, subduing this elderly stellar-level creature was likely only because the latter didn’t want to fight him. If not, considering his power and the elder’s experience at that time, the elder might indeed have escaped from Jia Yan’s grip.
“Forget it, I just hope he finds a way to prolong his life.”
Without dwelling on it further, Jia Yan shook his head helplessly.
“Now, we need to hurry up and leave. Adisa, are you ready to depart?”
“Yes, my Lord, but do we really not need to use the ejection system? Even if those guys catch up on the planet, I’m confident we can escape.”
“It’s not necessary for now. Don’t forget, we have subordinates now. We need to change our mindset from before. At least until the war deteriorates, we can’t keep abandoning our subordinates, right?”
Jia Yan spoke softly to the shadow mosquito flying beside him, then his expression turned serious.
“Moreover, with my current strength, I can still counter a few moves even from a middle-order powerhouse from the Stellar Academy. If worse comes to worst, I still have the subspace talent. If I can’t win, I can still escape, so whatever the case, his threat to me now has greatly diminished.”
“Yes, yes, Master is very strong, not afraid of him.”
While the big and little mosquitoes were conversing, above the planet, before Jia Yan Squad members below could prepare their battleship and supplies, a battleship descended at unimaginable speed, diving directly.
“Holy cow, the incoming battleship dares to arrive at such high speed, it’s going to crash!”
Generally speaking, space battleships are extremely fast, but no fool dares keep such speed when approaching a planet, or they would be courting death, and even galaxy level would not necessarily escape unscathed.
The incoming ultrafast warship, though slowed down outside the planet, still appeared to be in a hurry to land, maintaining a very dangerous speed, crashing directly into the battlefield where the stellar level creatures had battled the divine spirits earlier.
BOOM!!!
After an earth-shattering explosion, it felt like the heavens were collapsing, a tremendous roar resounding.
Fortunately, that area had already suffered extensive war damage, and the battleship, not truly suicidal, managed to slow down a bit at the last moment, so the impact was not as frightening as imagined.
However, those greedy stellar-level alliance treasure hunters remaining nearby, hoping to grab the last bit of materials, were not so lucky, many gravely injured amid their screams.
Yet, they dared not linger; even those severely injured hurriedly got up and fled immediately after their cries of pain.
“This little friend, please stay.”
Suddenly, behind a severely injured yet still powerful stellar-level powerhouse, a voice resounded.
“Uh…”
He felt his body become immobilized as the voice rose.
A horrifying, unparalleled brainwave power enveloped him. Originally far inferior in strength to the opponent, and now severely injured, he had no resistance whatsoever, his power taken directly to the front of the battleship.
The battleship slowly opened up a huge breach.
Inside, stood a massive creature, with a body extending four to five kilometers.
Even though the battleship was already enormous, it seemed small in comparison to the creature it housed.
Seeing this creature, the stellar-level being’s expression turned ashen, trembling like a human dwelling in fear.
For he sensed that the horrifyingly immense creature’s strength absolutely crushed his level— a middle-order stellar-level powerhouse!
Not just a regular middle-order stellar-level, but a super powerhouse with unrivaled strength, even among middle-order stellar-level powerhouses.
“No need to worry, little friend. I merely wish to inquire if Jia Yan is present on this planet.”
Suddenly, the terrifying giant monster addressed the captured stellar-level powerhouse calmly.
