They immediately halted and then crouched down, fearing discovery. To prevent being noticed by the villagers, they walked along the walls to quickly hide.

Originally they thought the person was just going to the latrine, but the footsteps kept getting closer. Xiaoxiao was nervous, feeling she could hear her own heartbeat. What was that person coming out for?

Then came a creak, my god, the main door opened, was someone coming out? Would they be discovered?

After crouching down, Yang Ming kept holding his wife’s hand. He sensed her fear and squeezed her hand, signaling her not to be afraid.

The person who emerged didn’t notice them, heading instead towards another household.

With that person around, they couldn’t move and had to wait for them to return inside.
