Shi Mei looked at the man in front of her, the familiar eyebrows and figure, pursed her lips, and then flung herself into his arms, "I trust you."

Relief washed over Shi Lingyan’s face as he gently kissed her hair, "Let’s go eat."

Mr. Bai and Madam Bai had always been at the hospital, along with Uncle Liu.

He quickly turned and went into the sickroom.

Bai Yuejie was leaning on the pillow, looking frail, spooning down the porridge that Bai Mu was feeding her.

"Now I’m asking you," Mr. Bai was clearly upset, "Ling Yan, I’ve watched you grow up since you were a child, I know you don’t like Yuejie, so I’ve always been advising her not to take you too seriously, and I know your character, even if you don’t like Yuejie, you wouldn’t do anything too extreme, but I never thought that in just a few minutes, you could have caused her to end up like this, what exactly did you do to her!"
