"Did you manage to find the kids? Are they safe? Where are they?"

The teacher in charge of the test asked as he rubbed his head between his hands. He looked stressed and on the verge of crying because of what happened.

None of this was supposed to happen, and he could not imagine where everything had gone wrong.

"Tsk, I was not able to find the kids, but I did find someone else who is the cause of all this mess. Shall we go and give Professor Burnance a visit? We can ask him how to get the kids back."

Mary cracked her knuckles in anger as she said all this. She usually did not like to show her anger and annoyance this clearly, but she felt like she had no other choice this time. Her emotions refused to ebb away.

She was not the only one who wanted to crush something.

Raziel reacted like her, and he was not trying to hide her irritation. One look at his face was enough to make people run away from him in fright.

"Teacher, should I track down that person and make him confess what he did? I am sure I can do it because of my new training."

Raziel assured the demoness with a straight face, but it made the professor choke.

"Y-You don't know what you are talking about. Listen! No matter how powerful you are, you cannot take on a 'First Class' magician. Those beasts are on a different level, and you should not even try. A-Anyway, we should try to negotiate first with them."

The professor quickly deviated from the situation before a disaster could happen, but the tension was still in the air.

It did not go away until Mary clapped her hands and smiled happily.

"Kids, stop fighting. Raziel, as much as I want to permit you to bash Burnance's head in, we need his hand to retrieve Layla as fast as possible. So, in simpler terms, we cannot kill him yet."

Mary's words made Raziel visibly unhappy. He looked away with an annoyed look, but his presence began to make the professor uncomfortable.

To him, someone like Raziel came across as suicidal and maniacal. He had never seen someone this eager to court death before.

"Don't give my student that look, professor! I would have offered the same if he had not suggested killing Rodric first. I am pissed like I have never been pissed off before."

The professor shivered and viewed to never be on the pair's bad side in the future.

But even as his fear crawled down his spine, he still doubted whether these two could handle the professor alone.

A first-class mage was nothing to scoff at.

Mary led the way, reaching an empty corridor before bashing the door in. It broke down with a loud crash, and the person inside flinched for a second before they quickly coughed and gathered themselves.

The first-class Mage, Rodric Burnance's voice, made the ordinary professor shiver. The authority and power in that voice were enough to make anyone freeze in their tracks and give the speaker their undivided attention.

"How may I help you all? I am afraid that you will have to come here another day. I am a little busy right now-"

The first-class magician was not finished speaking when Mary brought out her huge axe and wielded it as if it weighed nothing.

"I need you to tell me where my young miss is and what you did to the exam. If you do not reply, I must take care of you now. The aftermath is not going to be pretty."

Mary warned, and the first-class fake professor turned back angrily.

"Are you threatening me? It seems as if you no longer value your life and energy. Fine! We can play this game if you want to-"

The fake professor sounded confident, but his smile soon froze before completely fading when he tried to use his magic again but could not.

He looked at Mary, but his eyes fell on Raziel, who had cast a spell around the area.

"Fuck! Did you bring a priest to restrict me with? How unfair! Two against one is not fair, now, is it?"

The fake professor spoke with confidence as he looked at his two opponents.

He still had a look of victory that told everyone that the first-class professor did not seem to consider this a big deal.

But as he went forward to get familiar, Mary attacked and cut his route off.

When the familiar tried to reach the person, she also cut that connection off. She successfully separated the lizard-like familiar from the professor.

"Now then, shall we fight it out? Let's see how it will last longer between you and me, professor."

Mary asked as she raised her axe and attacked her opponents.

The professor made a nervous face for the first time, and it was clear just how startled he was.

"L-Listen! We can talk about this! How about we-"

"It's too late. I no longer want to hear any proposals from you. It is time I drive all the answers out of your mouth."

Within seconds, Mary had the fake professor begging for mercy, but her eyes showed she was not in the mood to give it to him.

"I've decided. I can help my master out on my own. I do not need to get your help. So, this will be goodbye."

Mary raised her axe before she brought it down at the person begging her.

Finally, the fake professor could not take it anymore. His life flashed before his eyes, and he called for the real deal to help him.

"O-Oi! You said that this wouldn't happen and you would always protect me! I-It is time to keep your promise to me! If I die, I will curse you forever, Rodric Burnance!"

The fake professor yelled, and his familiar sighed before quickly transforming into human form and clashing with his weapon against Mary, blocking Mary's attack.

He knew from experience that magic would not work well against her strength.
