Layla sounded confident, and for a second, her words took the wizard in front of her by surprise.

He looked abashed by the fact that a kid like her had found out about him, but he gritted his teeth and tried to remain calm and collected to show that he was not affected by her words.

"I don't know what you are trying to say, kid. But this is the last time you will get to be this arrogant. I will sew your mouth together before my chows chew you up into pieces, and I break you down. Prepare yourself to get hurt…"

The man moves his twin sword in an impressive circular move that is more for show and intimidation than actually to hurt Layla.

It startled the dragon on top of Layla's shoulder, and before Layla could stop it, Luna opened her mouth and fired a fireball at the enemy.

That attack happened so quickly that it left the sword master no time to dodge. He looked startled as his surroundings were burned to a charred crisp.

"Y-You attacked me all of a sudden. What kind of warrior does that? Is that how you want to play?"

The killer asked, his heart skipping a beat in fear. That fire had not touched him, but as a magician, his instincts and magic submitted to that fire and refused to ignite.

He suddenly felt way over his head with whatever was happening there. It made him want to run away as soon as possible.

"Tsk, are you trying to run away from me? What a foolish choice you are making. But again, you did not look that smart to me since the start."

Layla sighed as she snapped her finger and used more magic.

She had not used magic until now because there had been no need to use magic. But now that her goal had been established and she had contacted Adam and Rosette, there was no point in holding back.

Her overwhelming display of magic left the onlookers speechless. Even Leader John had his jaw slacked and found it hard to swallow his saliva.

"Rosette, this magic is-"

"Ah, yes. Looks like we found a god specimen this time. I am sure Mary would have fun breaking this one in after training. I suddenly feel excited to head back and check this trainee out."

Rosette sounded pleased, and Layla felt a shiver go down her spine as she stopped using her magic.

She had not killed the imposter but had made all his magic evaporate. It would take this magician a long time before he could recover any of his magic and terrorize anyone again.

Once done, Layla pulled at the announcer, frozen in place. That man instantly stepped back once he noticed Layla's expression before he realized he was supposed to announce her victory.

"L-Looks like we have a winner here. Who would have thought that the famous serial killer, Ronaldo Smith, would turn out to be an imposter? What a twist of fate this turned out to be….hahaha…"

The announcer sounded nervous, and for good reasons. He wiped the sweat off his face, but the more he tried to keep himself in check, the more he realized that he wanted to cry and throw up.

Layla walked past that announcer and directly toward the box where Rosette and Adam were. Her eyes were clear, and she intended to claim her prize.

"You promised me a reward if I succeeded, right? Do you still intend to give me what I want as a prize?"

Layla asked, and Rosette's radiant smile took her aback. She had never seen a female leader this happy.

Her instincts yelled at her that this was not a good thing, but Layla pushed it down as she looked at the pair in front of her with calm eyes.

"Yes, that I did promise you. And I am not one to go back on my promises. So, tell me what you want, and I will fulfill your wish."

Rosette promised, which was a big thing for someone like her.

Layla had no idea where the story of this world was headed, but she could tell that neither Rosette nor Adam looked like they were struggling.

For a minute, she was sure that she had woken up after Adam had already been appointed as the crown prince and he had Rosette as his partner, but it was a foolish thought.

After all, the world was still intact, and no unnecessary deaths were happening…for now.

"Speak up! What do you want? Is it riches? Or land? Or even more power. Tell me what your heart desires."

Rosette's words sounded like a sweet poison that could cloud one's mind. She was also good at using her seductive tone to lure her prey into her trap.

Had Layla not already known about her being the pure and innocent female lead, she would have doubted that this was even the same person she once knew.

'Or maybe things have changed enough for even Rosette to have changed. Maybe the one who is stuck in the past is me. But that is not something for me to feel concerned about. I should pay attention to what is happening in front of me.'

Layla quickly snapped out of her mood so that she could pay attention to what was happening around her.

The pair looked at her with a curious expression, waiting to see what Layla would do and say now that she had been given the opportunity.

"Since you are offering me so much, there is only one thing I want you to do. I would like to be escorted to Duke Lockhart's main domain and have a one-on-one meeting with him and his loyal maid, Mary.

Can you grant me this wish of mine?"

Layla asked, and the two in front of her had tight expressions on their faces. Her reply had taken them aback, and they no longer had any words to say.
