"Mary, now it is your turn. Go and get us some future customers."

Layla's command was clear and authoritative, and Mary felt a stab of amusement striking her deep in her chest.

It had been long since Mary played around like this and felt entertained. She could not help but giggle as she looked at her young miss with amused eyes.

"Of course, miss. I will be sure to carry out your orders. Please, don't leave this door for my sake, and do not open the door until I come back."

Mary warned her young miss, but she did not believe that her young miss would stay put.

Even if Layla nodded to indicate that she would stay put, Mary felt sure the younger would get into trouble sooner or later. It was almost as if a deity cursed Layla to be like that.

'Looks like I will have to take care of that once I carry out and complete my current order. It will be so much fun to cause all the trouble.'

It was not often that Mary got to do things she considered fun. Her chances of being able to do that diminished even more after she had signed a contract with Duke Lockhart.

But Layla was a breath of fresh air in her monotonous life, and Mary appreciated her…. maybe a little too much.

She even signed a one-sided contract with the female because it felt fun.

Mary could tell that Layla knew what she did, but the younger pretended like she did not, which made Layla feel even more amused.

If her young miss wanted to pretend she did not know what was happening, Mary would honor her wishes and pretend nothing happened.

The demon walked downstairs, and as soon as she entered the empty hall, she felt curious eyes looking toward her.

People looked at her suspiciously but soon relaxed as they realized that Mary was a normal maid, one they recognized.

"I would like to order lunch for my young miss. Can I know what the options are here?"

Mary asked casually, and her friendly tone made people sigh. Since she was making herself easier to approach, people kept looking at her and looking for a chance to talk to her.

The first one to take that initiative was the person who had taken her order.

"What is your young miss? I don't want to give her something she is allergic to. Should I prepare something special-"

The person asked, and Mary let out a small laugh.

It was a sign of a good host to ask these questions. Most people did not realize it, but different species had different dietary needs.

For example, elves were vegetarians because their bodies could not digest food, and they could not drink milk because they did not have enzymes to digest lactose.

So, the fact that this human asked about it (even if she had different intentions) earned her points in Mary's book.

"My miss is completely human, and she is not allergic to anything that we know of. You can cook whatever you want to. Why? Did my miss not look human? She gets that a lot these days.

*I knew those shampoos and lotions would be useful the first time I was introduced to them. *"

Mary put stress on her last words, and it attracted more attention than she expected.

Even men were paying attention now, wanting to know what the young lady had used to get such perfect hair and skin.

"Shampoo? And conditioner? This is the first time I have heard of that. Is that some kind of fancy potion that only nobles can get their hands on? Ah, what a bummer! A person like me will never be able to get it, right?

Not that I want it or anything."

The waitress let out a nervous laugh as she backtracked on her words. She did not want to seem desperate but could not help it.

"Fancy potion? Oh no! You are completely wrong! The potions are cheap, likely one of two coins at most. But the distribution and production had not started yet for them. Our miss was lucky to get some samples since she knew the creator of these potions.

They will likely hit the market near Lockhart Dukedom sometime around next month. If I were you, I would watch for the announcement and local news."

Mary advised, and a lot of eyes shone at her news.

So far, all the reception had been positive, so Mary decided to add more to the gossip.

"By the way, I was there when the maker tested these potions with the reagent, and there was not even a small reaction. This is 100% safe to use. Isn't that amazing? You can test it yourself once you get the sample."

Mary's words caused people to gasp out even louder.

So far, the potions that did not react with the reagent could be counted on one hand, costing an arm and a leg. To hear that this potion was so cheap made many people curious and doubtful at the same time.

"Are you pulling out a leg? Do you hear yourself even talk?"

"That's right! I won't believe what you say until you show us a sample. How about you bring us a few bottles, and we can try it out? You won't have any problem parting with them, as those bottles are so cheap, right?"

One of the female nobles using the inn asked in a haughty voice. She seemed sure that Mary would turn her offer down.

But her young miss had expected this outcome, and because of that, she had prepared a separate supply of the items to give away.

"I can get you some samples to use. But I cannot get it for everyone. You all can take a little bit of the sample home to try it out."

Mary promised before she quickly returned with a few bottles.

It only had enough for one- or two-time use, but that would be enough to convince everyone that it was safe and non-reactive.
